A 9/11 Message

COMMENT: As many of you know, I must work a day job in order to survive and, due to the pressures of the day job, I’m taking a hiatus from the production of new For The Record programs.

This will only last until the pressures of the day job diminish.

In the meantime, I will periodically post Food for Thought posts from time to time, in order to keep things up to date.

Until original program production resumes, I will be playing the programs I recorded about 9/11. That series, beginning with shows recapping material broadcast during the summer of 2001, is extensive and, even at this distance in time, should prove educational and illuminating to students of the events of 9/11.

As American political and economic discourse comes under the sway of Grover Norquist and the Machiavellian Karl Rove, we are able to measure the significance of the fundamental failure to comes to term with those two villains’ direct involvement in fostering the interests of elements responsible for the attacks.

The For The Record programs about the Norquist/Rove/GOP connections to the terror-funding apparatus that  operated in the U.S. prior to the 9/11 attacks remain critical to a realistic understanding of those events.

In addition, the material discussing SICO and its links to the events of 9/11 remains largely unrecognized, as do the Nazi and fascist connections to the attacks.

  1. When I come up on the lottery, I shall make sure you have your own foundation. Until I do, I wish you well.

  2. Well, Dave, I have to say, thank you, for being able to keep this going......and I wish you luck with your day job over the coming days, whatever that might be. =)

  3. Do whatever you need to do; a well-deserved break has been a long time coming.

The past 10 years of shows, in the midst of a coup-in-progress, have been & are a liferaft for me.

I will be continuing to review the mp3s and visiting the website daily. The past 10 years has been a towering achievement, but the past year in particular has taken me a few more leaps beyond where my own limited understanding & limited vision would’ve led me on my own, in isolation & without the bigger picture.

Almost all of the FTR mp3s are fresher than today’s headlines, and are a daily, vital part of my life. They continue to help me make sense of the upcoming tragedy that is ready to happen & on its way.

  4. understandable, but we will be out here waiting for the next program. we appreciate the work, it is important.

  5. Thanks for all your hard work Dave. Best of luck on the Day Job and we’ll all be waiting, catching up on reading and mining the website for the real story.

  6. Thank you, Dave, for all of your work up to this point. Thank you for the Truth. Truly the programs themselves must be exhausting to keep up with and a day job on top of that. Yes, it is a well deserved break indeed!

Spitfire has been my first stop everyday for the past few years but I have been listening to the series and reading the descriptions for about the past thirty years.

Looking forward to the next. Until then I too will keep digging into the past files.

  7. @R. Wilson– “.....but the past year in particular has taken me a few more leaps beyond where my own limited understanding & limited vision would’ve led me on my own, in isolation & without the bigger picture.”

Same thing for me as well, over the past couple of years.

  8. Well, it seems that I am the only regular listener left not to have commented on this post yet, so besides what I could have told you in private in a recent email, I wish you the best. For me too, the past years have been exemplarily enlightening. I used to listen to Alex Jones and other folks but now that I know your show, there is not much anything else that can “make the cut” to be as informative, awareness-raising, and right on the money. I don’t know what to say but thank you. Your work is unique not only on the web but anywhere else in the media and academia.

Come back soon and in shape!

  9. Dave: As a longtime listener I feel compelled to participate in this very encouraging atmosphere. I learned about your work through Bob Marshall who was running a late night radio show and went to visit him. I had already learned about Mae Brussel whose work also greatly influenced my politicial viewpoint. Your work successfully expanded upon and made sense of her revolutionary approach. It’s only in the last couple of years that I’ve really reconnected with your work and I just want to express my appreciation for what you’ve accomplished. I still listen to the hundreds of tapes that I received from Archives On Audio! Thank you so much for all of your great work!

  10. Aw, shucks, Dave. It seems to me that there must be a radio station or network somewhere that would love to pay you for your broadcasts. Then you could spend more time on this and still make a decent living.

Posted by Dave Lebowitz | October 3, 2011, 10:40 pm
  11. @Brad: I’m a pretty devoted fan of Mae too. Fact is, she’s actually the first one who really woke me up, and it was because one of her old tapes that I learned about Dave’s site.......

  12. I’ve been a fan for twenty years.
Your contribution to political discourse is MOST necessary and impossible to over-estimate....
Your dedication and courage is inspiring...
Thank you for keepin’ it going for so long, and I’ll try to keep up my mental hygene as I (as well as numerous others, I’m certain) anticipate your return.
You are so much appreciated. Be well, Dave.

  13. I came by to see what your take on the Occupy Wall Street protests might be to find that you are taking a hiatus. I just want you to know that your insight will be missed at this time and place in our national discourse, but taking a break to take care of your day job is totally understandable. I hope you wrap things up soon, but not too soon, so we all can get back to hearing your informative and thought provoking show. Take care and take some time for yourself on this hiatus!

  14. Understood Dave. I have always admired your heroic efforts to assemble so much information. I started listening to you when I first moved to California in 1997. On your recommendation I just read Gold Warriors and am recommending it to others. Hope you return re-energized.

  15. @Greg: ” Your contribution to political discourse is MOST necessary and impossible to over-estimate....”

Isn’t it always, though? Too bad we don’t have more like him, though.

@Sherman: Yeah, me too. I personally think the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protests are a wonderful thing, however, I HAVE noticed that some shady & unscrupulous characters have begun to try to infiltrate the movement, most notably, some of the Tea Party orgs.

@Mike: Gotta get that book myself sometime!

  16. If we ask and try to answer; “What’s Dave’s take...?” about direct action against Wall St. criminals, say...I think the ones he names {in the ‘Gold Warriors’show for example), can be found and stood in the way of...

  17. dave we have a lot of appreciation for your work ! return to air whenever the time is right .. i am systematically studying through the archives and the reading list with immense gratitude for your devotion, energy and courage. thank you, thank mae, thank all who help you also .. Love and Blessings

  18. @Greg Getty: I support Occupy Wall St. because they seem to be doing a real good job, but I do worry that some people could try to co-opt their efforts(Kalle Lasn, Rocky Suhayda) with assistance from the MSM.....and sadly, it seems to be working, even Dave himself fell for one or two of the lies(check the latest article. He definitely fell for the ‘Lasn started it’ myth).

With that said, he did do a good job of pointing out the extreme right’s attempts at hijacking the anger of the people.......ever heard of Rocky Suhayda? He’s just one of the crooks.

  19. In any case, Dave, I do hope you come back soon, alive and well. We all appreciate what you’ve done.....=)

  20. Actually, folks, I apologize for my Oct. 16th comment; I did come off as a tad harsh. I had no intention of offending Dave, and Dave, if you do read this, I just wanted to let you know, that I do apologize; I still do, and always will, appreciate all the hard work that you’ve done, as we all do. =)

@Claude: TBH, I used to kinda like Jones myself........but I got turned off because of all the fringe conspiracy stuff. He does sometimes go in the right direction, but in all honesty, Dave Emory could kick Jones’ proverbial butt any day. =)

  23. I’ve been visiting the site looking for a new program for a couple months now and just now noticed this post. So much has happened since your hiatus the Norway bomber, Libya, Occupy Wall Street, the GOP’s presidential campaign, the Iran’s supposed assassination plot, the financial melt down in Europe you’ll have alot of material to work with when you return to regular broadcasting.

  24. I’ve been meaning to post this bit of information related to 9–11 for some time. It’s from ‘The Sense of Being Stared At’ by the popular scientist, Rupert Sheldrake. This is a book that explores the paranormal and things usually unrelated to your field of research, Dave. On page 243, a woman describes her premonition about the event as follows: ‘I was walking down a street (in Manhattan) that was covered in swastikas that were spray painted on the building walls. The Nazis had invaded New York, but I wasn’t able to find any people at all.’

    Posted by brad | November 13, 2011, 1:27 pm
  25. @Brad: That, now, is one heck of a eerie premonition......Thanks for sharing. =)

  26. Dave,
As disappointing as it is to be denied new material, I can certainly relate with your current plight. I have been a listener since 1989. I miss the old four hour format sometimes, but the half hour segments must surely be more easily digested in our culture of immediacy.
Best wishes to you. Keep your head down and your (figurative) powder dry.
    Tom.
