This segment details a very complex and important (though sadly underreported) scandal. Some of the elements and operations involved in the investigation include: “ex” CIA operatives; the infamous Licio Gelli of P-2 Lodge fame (a former Mussolini fascist and SS officer deeply connected to the intelligence services and political establishments of many nations); Russian fascist Vladimir Zhirinovsky; the smuggling of nuclear materials through Croatia; the laundering of hundreds of millions of dollars through the Vatican Bank by the Cardinal of Barcelona; weapons dealers reportedly involved in the Iran-Contra scandal; Yasser Arafat and PLO-related gold smuggling and the murders of two Italian investigative reporters.
