He ridicules the idea by mentioning that Fritz Thyssen, Emil Kurdorf, and Gustav Krupp weren't there. He wasn't refering to the Manning account because Manning mentions none of these people. Approach with caution unless you don't mind parting with forty bucks. Their caregiver was the parish priest, Theodor Schmitz, who is said to have visited Bishop Hudal who, not surprisingly, kept silent on the matter.
