Excerpted from the One Step Beyond show of 8/18/96, this broad­cast high­lights the pos­si­ble use of genetically-engineered micro-organisms for the pur­poses of bio­log­i­cal war­fare and geno­cide. Begin­ning with the research of Doc­tors Garth and Nancy Nicol­son, the pro­gram dis­cusses an (appar­ently) genet­i­cally mutated mycoplasma that fig­ures promi­nently in the mys­te­ri­ous “Gulf War Syn­drome”. This micro-organism has had a gene from the HIV spliced into its genome, mak­ing it much more destruc­tive. Most of the seg­ment focuses on the remark­able recent book Emerg­ing Viruses — AIDS and Ebola: Nature, Acci­dent or Inten­tional? by Dr. Leonard Horowitz. This vitally impor­tant work presents very com­pelling sci­en­tific, med­ical and his­tor­i­cal infor­ma­tion sug­gest­ing that the AIDS and Ebola viruses were cre­ated in a lab­o­ra­tory, pos­si­bly delib­er­ately. The viruses may have been inten­tion­ally spread in order to effect “pop­u­la­tion con­trol” in Third World coun­tries and on domes­tic pop­u­la­tion groups viewed with dis­fa­vor by the far right.
