David Duke Endorses Occupy Wall Street

COMMENT: Longtime KKK and white supremacist leader David Duke has added his voice to the fascist and Nazi elements climbing on the Occupy Wall Street bandwagon.

A number of thoughts come to mind in this context. First, there are indications that far-right/fascist elements (cloaked as “progressives”) may have generated the impetus for the movement in the first place. (As I’ve said before, the vast majority of participants do not appear to manifest such sympathies.)

Note how the conservative source reporting this lumps Duke and the American Nazi Party in with Obama!

This may well be an attempt at alienating Jewish voters–a traditional element of the Democratic Party–from the Obama camp in anticipation of 2012.

Do not discount the possibility that fascist elements may either hijack the movement and/or discredit it, rather like the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center freaks hijacked and discredited any notion of serious investigation  into the 9/11 attacks.

Might this entire phenomenon be a well-designed trap or agent-provacateur operation from the start?

Watch out for possible terrorist incidents linked to  OWS and/or calls for a third party, that would serve the same purpose as the Naderoids  in 2000.

In this context, one should not overlook the possibility that Duke is an intelligence officer. (See Miscellaneous Archive Show M52, “Is Duke a Spook?”)

“David Duke Releases Video Supporting Occupy Wall Street Protests” by Joe Newby; Spokane Conservative Examiner; 10/27/2011.

EXCERPT: Former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke has joined President Obama and the American Nazi Party in supporting the Occupy Wall Street protests.

“I cheer the men and women on the streets condemning the international banks that hold America financially hostage. These Wall Street banks are not the product of free enterprise; they are the product of crime,” Duke said in a video supporting the protests.

CNS News reports that Duke “repeatedly attacks what he refers to as “Zionist bankers” such as Ben “Shalom” Bernanke,” and claims that while many have lost up to half of their savings, the “Zionist owners of the predatory banks made more shekels.”

Duke also decries what he calls the “Zionist media and their paid whores,” and attacks Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly.  He states his utter hatred for New York, calling it the “real center of Zionist globalism.” . . .

  1. Hello Dave. Well, I was afraid something like this was going to happen one of these days, given how enormously popular O.W.S. has become. If you would like to hear my personal take on this.......

The research I have done on O.W.S. has seemed to indicate conclusively, that this movement, was indeed a genuine grassroots effort with noble aims.
With that said, I have long feared & suspected that various elements of the extreme right-wing servants of what I’d call the world crime network(such as the Underground Reich) would try desperately to try to either infiltrate, destroy from within, and/or discredit the entire movement, as well as the Mainstream Media, either lying, obfuscating the truth, or doing just a plain poor job on reporting. Unfortunately, all what of I have been to observe, aided in part by your research as well, has indicated that, sadly, much of this has already come to pass. And it doesn’t look like it’ll end anytime soon, either.
However, given how harshly many supporters seem to have reacted to the last anti-Semitic incident, there is hope that people can wake up and look at what’s going on. People are also already quite aware of past infiltrators and agents provocateur, particularly one Patrick Howley of The American Spectator, and Mike Stack, the man who is most likely the one who caused the police crackdown in D.C. not too long ago.
(p.s., concerning the origins of Wall Street: as it turns out, AdBusters’ Schmalz & White may not have been quite as prominent in starting it up, either, as I once thought. Here, Mobius1ski talks about this here:
    http://mobius1ski.tumblr.com/post/11575039711/lies-damned-lies-antisemitism-at-occupy-wall-street
BTW, the Mother Jones article he referenced is here:
    http://motherjones.com/politics/2011/10/occupy-wall-street-international-origins
    http://motherjones.com/politics/2011/10/occupy-wall-street-international-origins?page=2
So, I guess that clears that up, huh? Schmalz & White may have helped, but it looks like had it not been for the NYC General Assembly and certain other groups, there might not be an OWS today, or at least not as we know it.)

  2. Going out on a limb... I’d like to suggest that during the two years prior to OWS, some key U.S. cities were subjected to an “Operation Gladio” paradigm — the same U.S. cities where cops are now exercising violent crackdowns.

This “American Gladio” scenario works whether or not OWS was pre-planned as “kettling” an authentic backlash movement.

Some interesting statistics juxtaposed with the 2009–2010 Gladio examples:

Crime in 2010 dropped to its lowest rate since 1967 in Los Angeles, Seattle, and St. Louis, as well as its lowest level in many years elsewhere:
    http://tinyurl.com/3plxbpt

However, police deaths in 2010 jumped nearly 40%:
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/28/police-deaths-2010_n_801901.html

Moreover, many of these police deaths occurred in “single-massacre incidents”:
    4 killed in Oakland (http://articles.sfgate.com/2009–03-23/bay-area/17215878_1_parole-officer-officers-families-swat-team);
    4 killed in Seattle (http://www.komonews.com/news/local/78088192.html)
    4 killed in Detroit (http://www.freep.com/article/20110123/NEWS05/110123016/Four-police-shot-Detroit-precinct-gunman-killed)
    3 killed in Pittsburgh (http://www.wtae.com/news/19094064/detail.html)

As another example of “stimulus generalization”, consider the case of Christopher Monfort of Seattle. During the same week that 4 Seattle cops were ambushed in a coffee shop, Monfort also ambushed and killed a 5th cop. Monfort could be a movie stand-in for Obama: a U‑W law student, scholar, community volunteer, and potential role-model, until he torched 4 cop cars & killed a cop:
    http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/dailyweekly/2009/11/christopher_monfort_suspect_in.php

Out on a limb: Was there a “localized” U.S. version of Gladio, with cops as the “target audience” instead of a general populace terrorized (as in Italy during the 1970s)? With cops, instead, as the “stimulus generalization” audience, intended to divide cops against communities they serve?

Isn’t it fairly unusual for a single-incident “police massacre” — let alone so many, during 2009–2010, which were simultaneously “Lowest Crime Rate” years?

Instead of an Egyptian Uprising Scenario, where the civilians won over the military, U.S. cops are NOT being asked by OWS to sympathize and stand with OWS (except in a few rare exceptions).

U.S. cops, in a siege mentality since 2009, especially in Oakland, Seattle, Detroit, Pittsburgh and a few other cities (officers killed in Fort Worth, Dallas, Anchorage, and elsewhere), are NOT being asked to “see themselves” in OWS.

In fact: OWS is a counterpoint to the Tahrir Square mythology, because the Egyptians maintained a rule: Let The Outsiders & The Military See Themselves In Your Movement.

Is OWS more about expressions of self, and expressions of identity, often defined AGAINST authority?

Or is OWS mature enough to adopt the rule: Let The Cops & Middle Americans See Themselves In You?

Was the 2009–2010 American Gladio carefully planned against U.S. cops, specifically?

Was the 2009–2010 American Gladio part of a carefully planned overall trajectory of events? A strategy to “kettle” a nascent movement that threatens to snowball into something much more mainstream, at the very moment that Europe “collapses” and takes down the entire worldwide economy?

After all, cops are part of the 99%.

The final chapter of Howard Zinn’s flawed but well-intentioned “People’s History of the United States” is a chapter called “Revolt of the Guards” — the key tipping point of the “success” of any OWS-type movement is whether or not the police’s sympathies are won over to the “99%” side.

Will OWS attempting to win them over as such? Or did American Gladio do its job upon the psyches of U.S. police? And is OWS too self-centered, too narcissistic, to win converts?

Former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke and Iran’s Press TV Praise Presbytarian Church USA’s Anti-Israel Report
    February 13, 2014 11:33 am 1 comment
    Author: Joshua Levitt

David Duke, a former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and Louisiana State Representative, joined with Press TV, a semi-official Iranian government news agency, in praising a report condemning Israel that was published by Presbytarian Church USA.

The church made headlines in 2012 for a proposal, that was ultimately voted down by its members, to divest from Caterpillar Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co. and Motorola because of their activities in Israel. Duke has also recently been in the news after being expelled from Italy “for his racist and anti-Semitic views” by an Italian judge, and from Germany, as “undesirable foreigner” on the eve of a planned lecture for a group of a hundred neo-Nazis.

On his blog, the former KKK leader said, “In a major breakthrough in the worldwide struggle against Zionist extremism, the largest Presbyterian church in the United States, the PC(USA), has issued a formal statement calling Zionism ‘Jewish Supremacism’ — a term first coined and made popular by Dr. David Duke.”

In Duke’s blog post, he wrote that the guide, titled ‘Zionism Unsettled,’ was released ahead of the church’s biennial General Assembly, scheduled for June, in Detroit, where a similar recommendation to divest from companies that work with Israel will be presented. Duke noted the 2012 attempt was only narrowly defeated, with a tally of 333–331, with two abstentions.

Duke wrote,“’Zionism Unsettled’ is not only an attack on Israel and its Jewish supporters. It criticizes the Catholic Church’s landmark 1965 Nostra Aetate, which opened the door for a new relationship between Jews and Catholics, saying that the declaration ‘raises as many questions as it answers.” It also “features an entire chapter panning Evangelical Christian support for Israel,” he said.

Iran’s Press TV wrote, “A Presbyterian Church group has described Zionism as the single reason behind the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, saying it is destroying the lives of both Palestinians and Jewish communities across the world.”

“The study guide, dubbed Zionism Unsettled, also argues that most Jews reject Zionism and choose to live outside the Israeli-occupied Palestinian lands, depicting Jewish life inside the Islamic Republic of Iran as ‘alive and well,’” Iran’s Press TV said.

The pamphlet was produced by “The Israel Palestine Network of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.),” with the Reverend Walt Davis, its education co-chair, listed as the point of contact, but he provided no response to an emailed query from The Algemeiner on Thursday.

My opinion (With the benefit of hindsight): OWS was a distinct turning point in far-right infiltration of the left. I personally attended the park and some protests and witnessed Ron Paul types attempting to co-opt and recruit. I think it worked at one level at least, to blend the social networks (especially on social media, but to an extent in real life too) of the far-right with the social space traditionally occupied by the left.

  5. @Richard L.–

The origins of OWS appear to have been with a publication called “Adbusters,” founded by an ethnic Estonian named Kalle Lasn, whose parents fled TO Nazi Germany at the end of WWII.
