More Media Discussion of Emerging Fascism in America

A review of Mike Lofgren’s recent book “The Deep State” on Consortium News adds to the growing body of media commentary highlighting the onset of fascism in America. “I also argue that this work is being been accompanied by a gradual emergence of a peculiarly American amalgam of fascist, corporatist and neoliberal organizational ideologies. . . . there are growing signs that the emerging American political economy combines many elements of classical fascism and corporatism with neoliberal laissez-faire economics into something that is new and peculiarly American — a political economy that exhibits fascist tendencies, but unlike classical fascism, subordinates the state to neoliberal corporatist interests, while it exploits many of fascism’s authoritarian organizing principles to stabilize the emerging status quo.” All of the contents of this website as of 12/19/2014–Dave Emory’s 35+ years of research and broadcasting–as well as hours of videotaped lectures are available on a 32GB flash drive. FTR #889 Intercept This! Compendium on Citizen Omidyar

Drawing together information presented in numerous broadcasts over the period of several years, this program highlights the endeavors of Glenn Greenwald’s journalistic/financial angel Pierre Omidyar. Guided by the Austrian School/free-market, neo-liberal economics of Hernando De Soto, Omidyar’s “philanthropic” efforts are closely aligned with covert action implemented in concert with U.S. intelligence cutouts such as U.S. Agency for International Development, the National Endowment for Democracy and the Ford Foundation. Focusing on the Omidyar Network’s SKS organization, the discussion notes the brutal, lethal results of its micro-finance programs in India. Omidyar Network’s key Indian functionary Jayant Sinha, took time off to help direct the election campaign of Narendra Modi, whose BJP is a cat’s paw for the RSS, a Hindu nationalist/fascist organization inspired by Hitler and Mussolini. Three quarter of Modi’s cabinet was selected from the RSS, to which Modi belonged. (Gandhi was assassinated by a member of RSS.) One of the key vehicles for Omidyar Network’s “philanthropy” in India is the Rural Development Institute (renamed “Landesa”), developed by Roy Prosterman. Prosterman’s RDI was a key feature of the Phoenix assassination program in Vietnam. Citizen Omidyar has also helped to fund the return to power of the OUN/B fascists in Ukraine, again partnering with U.S. intelligence cutouts such as U.S. AID and the National Endowment for Democracy. Program Highlights Include: Modi’s projected rollback of India’s laws against child labor; the stifling of freedom of speech under Modi’s regime; the Modi government’s complicity in lethal anti-Muslim vigilante actions; the neo-liberal economic goals of Omidyar Network’s “land acquisition” micro-finance projects; Omidyar protege Oleh Rybachuk’s participation in the Yuschenko government; Rybachuk’s efforts to integrate Ukraine into NATO and the EU; Omidyar protege Svitlana Zalischuk’s efforts to integrate Ukraine into NATO and the EU, mentored by Rybachuk; Omidyar protege Zalischuk’s efforts on behalf of the lustration laws, seen as the legal foundation for a broad-based purge; Zalischuk’s efforts promoting networking between Ukrainian Nazi parties such as Svoboda and the so-called “moderate” parties; Omidyar’s partnering with the National Endowment for Democracy to create a “fact-funding” service; review of the development of the NED as a cutout for U.S. intelligence by William Casey and the Reagan administration.

FTR #887 Miscellaneous Articles and Updates

The ongoing occupation of an Oregon wildlife preserve in Oregon by paramilitary forces led by Ammon Bundy (son of Cliven Bundy) may seem far removed from the gilded realms in which the Koch Brothers move. They may also appear to be of an entirely different political stripe from the likes of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange. That is not the case. In fact, the “Bundyists” are realizing the agenda of the Wise Use movement and the Koch brothers, both advocates of ceding control of federal lands to local control, in order that corporate interests such as timber, mining and cattle ranching can use the territory for their own use and profit. By the same token, the likes of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange have arrogated to themselves the use, control and dissemination of sensitive information that was not theirs to own or distribute. David Golumbia noted the attitude of “coders” such as Snowden, Assange and “hacktivists ” . . . the political world is theirs to do with what they want, and the rest of us should stay out of it . . . members of democratic polities have no choice but to accept them having that role.” Turning to turmoil in Europe, the recent assaults on women by Middle Eastern immigrants in German, Finnish and other cities on the continent have fueled the rise of fascist groups, minting valuable political coinage from the assaults. Some observers compared a recent rampage in Leipzig with the 1938 Kristallnacht pogrom. The broadcast concludes with an overview of P-2 Lodge grandmaster Licio Gelli, the recently deceased fascist who profoundly influenced events on three continents. Program Highlights Include: Fred C. Koch’s construction of an oil refinery for Hitler; Ex-CIA officer and author Robert Baer’s belief that Hitler escaped Germany at the end of the war; review of the participation of Fox News host Andrew Napolitano and Snowden Presidential candidate of choice Ron Paul at a libertarian students conference; review of the participation of Edward Snowden at that same conference; review of Carl Lundstrom’s financing of the anti-immigrant Sweden Democrat fascist party and his funding of the Pirate Bay website that hosted WikiLeaks.

FTR #886 What the Hell Does Dave Emory Mean by “The Earth Island Boogie?,” Part 3: Geopolitical Quicksand

Analyzing the possibility that American use of Muslim Brotherhood Islamists as proxy warriors and armed heralds of corporatist free-market economic values might backfire on the United States, we look at the development of ISIS, the curious Turkish about-face on the Fetullah Gulen organization and fallout from the so-called “Arab Spring.” Beginning with discussion of a “doomsday” contingency plan concocted by al-Qaeda and Saddam Hussein to back each other up militarily in the event either or both were overthrown by the U.S., we examine the prominent role of former members of Saddam’s officer corps in administering ISIS. ISIS and al-Qaeda are holding forth in Libya, which is serving as a base for spreading their operations into Africa. Like the bloody Syrian civil war, the overthrow of Khadafy (which set the stage for the Islamist presence in Libya) is an outgrowth of the so-called “Arab Spring”–one of the “conga-line ops” we highlighted in FTR #885. Much of the program highlights the operations of the Fetullah Gulen organization in Turkey. Alleged to be a CIA front organization and Islamic extremist in nature, the Gulen organization was formerly an ally of Tayyip Erdogan. Now, it is among his most bitter opponents. Program Highlights Include: review of Hitler’s view that Islamists were a crucial Third Reich ally; review of a critical meeting in Switzerland at which prominent Euro-fascists and al-Taqwa director Ahmed Huber met; speculation that the Swiss “Euro-fascist” summit may have helped generate the intelligence disinformation that helped lure the Bush administration into the ill-advised Iraq war; “ex” CIA officer Graham Fuller’s ridicule of the allegation that the Gulen organization is a CIA front organization; the close connections between Erdogan’s AKP Party, Germany and the EU.

FTR #885 What the Hell Does Dave Emory Mean by “The Earth Island Boogie?,” Part 2: “The Conga-Line ‘Ops’ “

For most of this decade, Mr. Emory has analyzed an overlapping series of “ops” that have determined much of contemporary political reality. At the epicenter of this dynamic is the Earth Island. “The Earth Island Boogie” embraces an overlapping series of “ops” including: the so-called “Orange Revolution” of Ukraine, WikiLeaks, the so-called “Arab Spring,” “L’Affaire Snowden” and the Maidan coup of 2014. ISIS is a direct outgrowth of the so-called “Arab Spring.” This broadcast presents a detailed overview of “the conga-line ‘ops,'” featuring links to key text excerpts providing longer analysis of these dynamics.

Big Things Come in Small Packages: “This is devastating because it sets up all class-actions to fail”

Commenting on a stunning, 100-word-long bill introduced in Congress by the GOP to insulate Volkswagen against class-action lawsuits over their willful subversion of EPA emissions regulations, observers noted: “. . .’This is devastating because it sets up all class-actions to fail,’ says attorney Lori Andrus, who represents several Volkswagen plaintiffs. . . . . ‘It’s incredibly inappropriate for Congress to send the message that it’s OK to hurt people by the millions,’ said Volkswagen owner Rebecca Kaplan. ‘The more people you hurt, the more this law will protect you.’ . . .” All of the contents of this website as of 12/19/2014–Dave Emory’s 35+ years of research and broadcasting–as well as hours of videotaped lectures are available on a 32GB flash drive. FTR #884 What the Hell Does Dave Emory Mean by “The Earth Island Boogie”?, Part 1 (Turkish Taffy, Part 4)

Clarifying and further developing analysis of geopolitical discussion from both previous and future broadcasts, this program details the developing Islamic fascism of Turkey’s Tayyip Erdogan. Both a NATO country and Muslim Brotherhood-derived Islamist in nature, Turkey is also manifesting aggressive militarism. Silencing opposition press and legal investigators who have discovered his support for Islamic terrorists, Erdogan is proposing sweeping constitutional changes and invoking Hitler’s Germany as political precedent. Erdogan’s AK Party evolved from the Muslim Brotherhood and the Bank al-Taqwa milieu. Program Highlights Include: Erdogan’s AK Party’s links with Germany and the EU; Turkey’s dispatch of troops into Iraq, against the wishes of the Iraqi government; Hitler’s political last will and testament, envisioning Islamists as proxy warriors to fulfill his political agenda; review of Zbigniew Brzezinski’s endorsement of Muslim Brotherhood-derived Islamists as proxy warriors against Russia in the Caucasus and China in Central Asia.

FTR #883 The Times They Have A’ Changed: JFK and the Steel Crisis of 1962

On the cusp of a new year–a Presidential election year at that–analysis of President Kennedy’s handling of the steel crisis of 1962 illustrates just how far we have descended in the 50-plus years since his death. After brokering an agreement between the United Steelworkers union and United States Steel aimed at holding down inflation, Kennedy was blindsided by United States Steel, acting in concert with other large steelmakers and, behind them, the luminaries of corporate America. Whereas the union rank and file embraced a contract encompassing lower wages, U.S. Steel promptly announced a 3.5 percent price increase. Kennedy used the full force of the Federal government against U.S. Steel, forcing rollback of the price increase. This earned Kennedy the hatred of big business. Program Highlights Include: Henry Luce’s “Fortune” magazine’s publication of an editorial foreshadowing JFK’s murder; big business’ view of JFK as a quasi-communist; the vigorous action taken by Robert Kennedy’s Department of Justice against the big steel makers; JFK’s public excoriation of the leaders of Big Steel as enemies of the people; JFK’s re-direction of defense contracts to smaller steel firms that had not raised prices.

FTR #882 The Perfect “Sturm”: Machiavelli 3.0 and the Rise of Global Fascism

When “The New York Times” takes note of the rise of fascism in America, you know things are getting very bad indeed. On successive days (Friday, 12/11 and Saturday, 12/12 of 2015), the Times featured two op-ed columns in each edition discussing the rise of fascism in Europe and the United States. Furthermore, one column noted the fixation by ISIS, the Hindu nationalist fascists in power in India and others on a mythical, idealized past. The broadcast recaps Peter Levenda’s analysis of the role of atavism in fueling fascist ideology. Longing for a mythical, idealized past free of the entanglements of the present, fascists of various types scapegoat those whom they view as having polluted society. Program Highlights Include: Donald Trump’s association with Helene Von Damm (protege of Eichmann superior and CIA officer Otto von Bolschwing); Trump’s association with Joseph McCarthy aide Roy Cohn; Trump’s association with former Axis spy Norman Vincent Peale; the assistance given Joe McCarthy’s witch hunts by a U.S. intelligence network drawing on the skills of SS officers and led by Karl Wolff (Heinrich Himmler’s personal adjutant.)

FTR #872 Interview with Elizabeth Gould and Paul Fitzgerald about Zbigniew Brzezinski, Afghanistan’s Untold Story and the Ukraine Crisis

Revisiting Elizabeth Gould and Paul Fitzgerald, co-authors of “Invisible History: Afghanistan’s Untold Story,” we examine Zbigniew Brzezinski’s role in luring the Soviet Union into the first Afghan war, and his prominent role as a geopolitical theoretician behind the Ukrainian crisis. Seeking to give the USSR “their Vietnam,” Brzezinski deliberately set the stage for the war that ultimately led to the creation of al-Qaeda. Seeing Ukraine as a key to control of Eurasia and the World Island or Earth Island, Citizen Brzezinski has been a leading advocate for Western involvement in Ukraine. His son Ian has advocated for loosening the chain of command governing the use of nuclear weapons. Program Highlights Include: review of the corporatist economic philosophy of the Muslim Brotherhood; CIA officer Graham Fuller’s role in the precipitation of the first Afghan war; discussion of the Rockefeller milieu and its role in spawning Brzezinski, as well as Henry Kissinger; review of the role of ISIS-linked Chechen fighters in the fighting in Ukraine; review of the American violation of a promise made to Gorbachev not to expand NATO up to the Russian border; review of the Boston Marathon Bombing, which appears to have been “blowback” from an apparent covert operation in the Caucasus.
