FTR #918 The Trumpenkampfverbande, Part 1: German Ostpolitik, Part 1

Donald Trump’s pronouncements about Russia’s policy vis a vis Ukraine and Crimea, his relatively benign statements about Putin, Putin’s relatively benign statements about Trump, Trump’s comments that are critical of NATO and the relationship between former Trump campaign aide Paul Manafort and Victor Yanukovich (the pro-Russian former president of Ukraine) have led many to view Trump as a “Putin/Kremlin/Russian” “dupe/agent.” In the first of two broadcasts, we analyze Trump’s views and associations in this regard in the context of traditional German “Ostpolitik,” as manifested by the postwar Federal Republic of Germany and the Underground Reich in particular. It is our considered opinion that Trump, far from being a “Putin/Kremlin/Russian” “dupe/pawn/agent” is an associate and operative of the Underground Reich and his attitudes toward Russia, Putin, Crimea and NATO reflect German “Ostpolitik.” For centuries, German and Prussian leaders and strategists have sought practical alliances and non-aggression pacts with Russia as a vehicle for securing their Eastern frontier, enhancing their commercial trade infrastructure and furthering their European and global hegemonic goals. In the Cold War and “New Cold War” eras, this Ostpolitik serves as a “good cop/bad cop” dynamic, giving Germany leverage with the U.S. and Russia/U.S.S.R. by creating ” . . . the heated atmosphere of an auction room where two eager opponents outbid each other. . . .” After presenting a synopsis of German Ostpolitik as practiced by German leaders over the centuries, the program highlights the manifestation of ostpolitik in the early Cold War period. In a 1949 letter in the “Buerger Zeitung,” the journalistic outlet for the Steuben Society, an open courting of Stalin and the U.S.S.R. is presented by Nazi and SA veterans Bruno Fricke and Dr. Otto Strasser. Despite its far-right and McCarthyite orientation, the paper openly advocates an alliance between a re-armed Germany and the Soviet Union, managed on the German side by Third Reich veterans. This signaled a “bidding war,” and was followed three years later by the Soviet Note of 3/10/1952, which echoed the call for the goals of the Fricke letter and which, in turn, heralded Germany’s drive for a unified Europe under German control and a re-armed Germany, which, ultimately, would leave NATO, along with the rest of Europe. ” . . . . The reaction of the German strategists to the Soviet Note of March 10, 1952, however, exposes their true designs. German geo-political journals speak of it as “the highest trump card in the hands of the Chancellor” which will enable him to mow down the resistance of France against Germany’s concept of a united Europe. The pro-Adenauer press interpreted the Russian Note as a tremendous asset in speeding up the timetable for the creation of a European army under German domination. . . .” Analyzing the nature of the Steuben Society, whose “Open Letter to Stalin” signaled the drive for the realization of the creation of a German-Dominated Third Power Bloc, the broadcast sets forth the Steuben Society’s position as part of the Nazi Fifth Column in pre-war America, and its continued activities as part of the postwar Underground Reich. Joseph E. Schmitz, of the far-right and Germanophile Schmitz family of California, is a key adviser to Donald Trump. Former Inspector General of the Pentagon under George W. Bush, Schmitz was, in the words of a former Pentagon colleague, “consumed with all things German and all things Von Steuben.” Is Schmitz a generative source for Trump’s resonance with German Ostpolitik? With the EU and the development of an EU military apparatus, contemporary Germany is manifesting the geopolitical goals of Adenauer’s and the “Buerger Zeitung’s” ostpolitik. Program Highlights Include: Joseph E. Schmitz’s involvement with a Von Steuben-linked German security network; Schmitz’s son’s involvement with the Von Steuben milieu; the “Buerger Zeitung’s” position as a key journalistic outlet for German-Americans; the “Buerger Zeitung’s” far-right, pro-McCarthy position.

Was Fred Trump (Donald’s Father) in the Ku Klux Klan?

” . . . . asked if his father had lived at 175–24 Devonshire Road—the address listed for the Fred Trump arrested at the 1927 Klan rally—Donald dismissed the claim as ‘totally false’ . . . . according to at least one archived newspaper clip, Fred Trump . . . lived at 175–24 Devonshire Road: A wedding announcement in the January 22, 1936 issue of the Long Island Daily Press, places Fred Trump at that address, and refers to his wife as ‘Mary MacLeod,‘which is Donald Trump’s mother’s maiden name. . . .”

FTR #907 Update on Ukraine

Supplementing our many previous programs on Ukraine, this broadcast further develops the Orwellian re-write of World War II history, as well as chronicling the deep political history of the Ukrainian diaspora, its alliance with the Third Reich and its profound presence prior to, and during, World War II. An article in “Foreign Policy”–a mainstream publication–notes the role of Volodymyr Viatrovych in turning Ukrainian World War II history on its head.

Hired originally by Viktor Yuschenko to head the Orwellian-named “Institute for National Memory,” Viatrovych decamped to the U.S. after the election of the Yanukovich government, only to return to Ukraine and resume his revisionist work under Petro Poroshenko. Recasting the Third Reich allies and genocidal collaborators of the OUN/B as heroes and rescuers of Jews during the Holocaust, Viatrovych has been complemented in his work by eduction minister Serhiy Kvit and Yuriy Shukhevych, the son of UPA chief Roman Shukhevych. (The UPA was the military wing of the OUN/B.) In Ukraine, it is now a crime to say anything critical about the OUN/B or UPA.

The measure of the revisionism underway in Ukraine can be gauged by this statement about UPA policy toward the Poles: “. . . . UPA supreme commander Dmytro Kliachkivs’kyi explicitly stated: ‘We should carry out a large-scale liquidation action against Polish elements. During the evacuation of the German Army, we should find an appropriate moment to liquidate the entire male population between 16 and 60 years old.’ Given that over 70 percent of the leading UPA cadres possessed a background as Nazi collaborators, none of this is surprising. . . .” Recounting that quote would be a crime in Ukraine!

Much of the program consists of a recounting of the Ukrainian Fifth Column in the United States and its collaboration with the Third Reich. The German General Staff had been grooming Ukrainians as allies during the closing stages of the First World War and its aftermath, culminating with the formation of the OUN as an extension of Nazi imperial designs. Embedded with elements of our military, the Ukrainian Fifth Column were actively engaged in criminal activities, including sabotage of key American infrastructure targets.

The periodical of the OUN was titled “Svoboda,” now the name of one of the key OUN/B successor organizations in power in Ukraine.

Program Highlights Include: the Pelypenko affair, in which a Ukrainian Orthodox priest and Gestapo agent disclosed the dimensions and workings of the Nazi/Ukrainian Fifth Column in the U.S.; Svoboda party member Andriy Parubiy’s elevation to being speaker of the Ukrainian parliament; review of Viktor Yuschenko’s strong ties to the Ukrainian-American branches of the OUN/B; discussion of the bogus law degree of incoming Prime Minister Volodomyr Groysman, obtained from MAUP University, the epicenter of anti-Semitism in Ukraine; review of David Duke’s role as a faculty member at MAUP; the assignment of a contingent of the Nazi Azov battalion to “maintain order” in Odessa, the site of a massacre-by-fire of ethnic Russian protesters in 2014.

FTR #841 Interview (#4) with Peter Levenda about “The Hitler Legacy”

Resuming our analysis of “The Hitler Legacy,” our next interview with Peter Levenda continues discussion of the rehabilitation of “jihadis as proxy warriors” by Germany in the run-up to, and during, the Second World War. Having assumed the position of Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini took advantage of resentment on the Arab street and mobilized it against the British and Jews. Beginning with pogroms during the 1920’s and 1930’s, Husseini’s activism blossomed into full-fledged participation in Nazi military compaigns, including recruiting Waffen SS units in Muslim territories. After discussing some similarities between Nazism and global jihadist ideology, Peter highlights the Grand Mufti’s post war work with the PLO and other Muslim political and military organizations. Joining the Grand Mufti were numeerous SS men and Nazi technical experts, there to continue their war against the Jews and to fight against Communism on behalf of Western intelligence agencies. In the Middle East, as in other countries where they were recruited as anti-Communist cadre, the Third Reich alumni pursued a Nazi agenda, spawning new Nazi political and military formations. Peter notes that they are not “neo”-Nazis, at all. Western intelligence helped foster postwar SS-assistance organizations such as Die Spinne and ODESSA, shepherded to a considerable extent by SS Colonel Otto Skorzeny.

FTR #840 Interview (#3) with Peter Levenda about “The Hitler Legacy”

Continuing our discussion with Peter Levenda about his remarkable book “The Hitler Legacy,” the broadcast details what the author calls “The exit strategy.” Facing military defeat, the Third Reich knew that Nazism would not die with the Allied victory, but could continue the struggle from far-flung places. Moving both SS officers and vast amounts of capital abroad, the Reich took advantage of the ideological resonance that existed between the NSDAP and both anti-Communist and anti-Semitic elements abroad, including and especially, the Nazi underground that existed in the United States. Using the Vatican “ratlines” and their powerful business connections with Western (especially American) corporations and associated law firms, SS men went overseas, where the vast amounts of capital belonging to the Bormann flight capital network sustained their activities. Program highlights include: the role of the Bank for International Settlements in the Nazi financial diaspora; the formation and operation of the Reinhard Gehlen spy network; analysis of “The Red House Document,” including the provision by German corporations to fund the Nazi party underground after the war; brief discussion of the Grand Mufti and his alliance with the Third Reich.

More Subtle Propaganda from The New York Times

As the New York Times continues in “Warren Report Mode” (the Gray Lady published that pernicious document), its Cold War style journalistic blitzkrieg against Russia continues. (We note in passing that Russia is no longer Communist.) In an op-ed piece about the next target of supposed Russian aggression, the author casually ascribes the 1999 assassination of Armenian leaders, including the prime minister, to Russian conspiratorial process. In FTR #182, we noted the history of the Dashnags (there are various spellings). An Armenian fascist and ultra-nationalist group, the Dashnags collaborated with the Third Reich, Ukrainian fascist elements and the Christian Mobilizers of Gerald L.K. Smith. The latter was a prominent American fascist whose organization was among the ideological tributaries that fed the milieu of the Aryan Nations.

FTR #810 A Prince Too Far

Pop conspiracy theory casts the Bilderberger group in a sensationalist, politically and historically illiterate “New World Order” context. In this broadcast, we examine the history of Prince Bernhard, the former SS officer and I.G. Farben spy who founded the group, against the background of the Battle of Arnhem (Operation Market Garden) in September of 1944. As head of the Dutch “resistance,” apparent double agent Bernhard sacrificed a resistance fighter named Christian Lindemans (code named “King Kong”), who took the blame for the deliberate betrayal of the Allied battle plan. Sabotage of the Arnhem operation has also been partly attributed to Peter Carrington (later Lord Carrington and former British Foreign Secretary during the run-up to the Falkalands War.) Attacked for his stunning lack of insight with regard to the Argentine fascist junta’s invasion of those islands, Carrington has never been properly vetted with regard to the betrayal of part of the British battle plan for the Falkalnds campaign. The program also examines the fascist activities and involvements of Bernhard’s heirs in the Royal Family of the Netherlands.

FTR #795 Fascism, Hindu Nationalism and Narendra Modi

Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi, with a political background in a Hindu nationalist party with strong fascist roots, is now in charge of the world’s second largest country and the world’s largest democracy. Narendra Modi belonged to the RSS, an organization with an historical affinity for Nazism and fascism. Capitalizing on anti-Muslim fervor in India, RSS has generated much gravitas. Modi has been implicated in complicity in lethal anti-Muslim rioting in India. In addition to anti-colonial sentiment that pitted Indian nationalists against the British Raj prior to World War II, Nazism and Hindu philosophy also found common ground in elements of “Aryan” mysticism. Many elements of the Brahmin caste also found affinity with the elitist and anti-democratic philosophy of Mussolini’s fascism as well.

Fascist Antecedents of Narendra Modi and His Party

Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi, with a political background in a Hindu nationalist party with strong fascist roots, is now in charge of the world’s second largest country and the world’s largest democracy. Narendra Modi belonged to the RSS, an organization with historical and ideological affinity for Nazism and fascism, capitalizing on anti-Muslim fervor. An associate of RSS assassinated Mahatma Gandhi.

FTR #771 The Adventures of Eddie the Friendly Spook, Part 13: Beware of Libertarians Bearing Gifts (1934 Coup Attempt Redux)

Summing up his political outlook, Snowden wrote that the elderly ‘wouldn’t be fucking helpless if you weren’t sending them fucking checks to sit on their ass and lay in hospitals all day.’ The forces for which he fronts are: ” . . . rooted in a theory that, in James Madison’s words, would “speedily put an end to the Union itself.”
