The news cycle in this country is dominated by coverage of the Boston bombings. This is predictable. So is the tendency toward simplistic and/or one-dimensional analysis. Generally, we’re hearing: It was the “government,” “home-grown domestic (i.e. right-wing, Aryan types) terrorists,” or “Islamic terrorists.” As this post indicates, the divisions among these are not nearly so simple.
We’ve been covering the circumstances surrounding the murders of a Texas DA and his wife. Now, we learn that some corrections officers have been colluding with elements of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas. One thing that suggests itself is the possibility that field intelligence communicated by corrections officers in league with the white supremacists may have been used in the killings.
A number of strange developments mount concerning the killings of legal professionals investigating white supremacist prison gangs. Alleged Tom Clements killer Evan Ebel was released by mistake, after his electronic monitor malfunctioned. Are these killings part of a broader campaign of Nazi violence, a la “The Turner Diaries?”
