The entry point to our exploration of Julius Evola is top Trump adviser and first tier NSC member Steve Bannon. Evola is a key influence on Bannon. Evola was an early occult fascist, with strong connections with Mussolini’s Italy. Eventually Evola established strong, lasting connections with the Nazi SS, both operationally and ideologically.
Evola has also influenced Alexander Dugin, a prominent Russian ideologue and politician.
The broadcast recaps FTR #233, which details Evola’s work for the SS and Kevin Coogan’s theory that Evola was involved with an SS occult network incorporating important people and institutions in both the West and behind the so-called “Iron Curtain.” Later in the program, we further develop the story of Alexander Dugin, a Russian “Alt-right” thinker and politician prominent in the Russian government. As mentioned above, Dugin, like Bannon, has been influenced by Evola.
We wonder if, in the persons of Bannon and Dugin, we are seeing “Western” and “Eastern” manifestations of what Kevin conceptualizes as “The Order.”
Drawing on material from Kevin’s seminal work Dreamer of the Day: Francis Parker Yockey and The Postwar Fascist International (soft cover, Autonomedia, copyright 1999, ISBN I-57027-039-2), the program sets forth a hypothetical construct advanced in the book. Hypothesizing an international fascist milieu originating from (though not coterminous with) the ideological orientation of the Waffen SS, Kevin terms this milieu “The Order.” (This entity is not to be confused with the 1980’s American Nazi organization of the same name.)
Beginning with analysis of Kevin’s discussion of the work of fascist occultist Julius Evola in Vienna during the conclusion of World War II, the program documents Evola’s operations on behalf of the SD (the SS intelligence service.)
Like SS chief Himmler, Evola saw the SS as the successors to the Kshatriya class (the Hindu warrior caste.) Seeing Germany and Europe as succumbing to “barbarian invasion,” Evola saw a pagan, anti-Christian mysticism as necessarily antithetical to the Judeo-Christian culture which, he felt, had led the West to decline before the “Bolshevik hordes” of the Soviet Union and the “chewing gum imperialism” of the United States.
Kevin felt that this organization (reflecting the ideological stance of an element of the Waffen SS) would be pan-European in scope and orientation, and not necessarily entirely chauvinistic from a Nordic or Germanic racial and national standpoint. Nourished by bank accounts secreted abroad, this hypothetical organization functions in an underground fashion. (The funds that nourished this institution would necessarily have derived from the Bormann Organization.) The Order appears to have established ostensibly friendly relations with the West.
This organization may very well have begun working with the U.S. intelligence apparat after the war, as evidenced by, among other things, the collaboration between post-war SS elements and the CIA. Coogan hypothesizes that CIA director Allen Dulles may have played a primary role in such an accord.
Another influence on a Dulles/Order collaborative relationship may have been psychologist Carl Jung, who was connected to Dulles and to the Third Reich.
Significantly, the Order appears to have overlapped, and also worked with, elements of the East Bloc, including former Soviet and East German national security officials. The organization also maintained contacts with “anti-imperialist,” Third World liberation movements.
Steve Bannon’s discussion of Alexander Dugin gains significance in this context.
The Order appears to have exploited its contacts within both East and West blocs to further its own fascistic and elitist agenda, playing both sides against the middle during the Cold War.
The Dugin/Evola affiliation and the Bannon/Evola affiliation may be significant in that context.
Program Highlights Include: Sebastian Gorka’s manifestation of the heraldry of the order of Vitezi Rend, closely associated with Nazi Germany’s Hungarian allies;
Adbusters magazine’s publicizing of Alexander Dugin–we review the fact that Adbusters appears to have played a key role in jumpstarting the “Occupy” movement.
This program updates and/or introduces various points of inquiry:
Former Obama U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice was one of just a handful of mainstream politicians who (VERY belatedly) got things right. Speaking of Steve Bannon’s elevation to a position of primacy on the NSC, she observed: ” . . . . ‘Trump loves and trusts the military so much he just kicked them out of the National Security Council and put a Nazi in their place,’ she said. . . .”
Bannon’s ascension is noteworthy: “ . . . . But the defining moment for Mr. Bannon came Saturday night in the form of an executive order giving the rumpled right-wing agitator a full seat on the ‘principals committee’ of the National Security Council — while downgrading the roles of the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the director of national intelligence, who will now attend only when the council is considering issues in their direct areas of responsibilities. It is a startling elevation of a political adviser, to a status alongside the secretaries of state and defense, and over the president’s top military and intelligence advisers. . . .”
Bannon’s ascension to the NSC should be analyzed against the background of the martial law contingency plans drawn up by Oliver North and still on the books. This is discussed at length in AFA #32.
One of the key features of the martial law contingency plans involved the federal deputization of paramilitary right-wingers to maintain order. The military, even with the assistance of the National Guard, does not have the manpower to maintain civilian order. It is our suspicion that Bannon may be involved with the implementation of such activities.
Notorious troll, blogger and Nazi/white-supremacist fellow traveler Charles “Chuck” Johnson has substantive input in Trump’s cabinet selections. Worth noting is the fact that Johnson may be operating in tandem with Peter Thiel, whose database named the “Plum List” bears a striking similarity to a website “ThePlumlist.com,” apparently being used by Johnson to help staff Trump’s administration.
“ . . . . Despite his disregard for facts and reckless approach to publishing, Johnson, who was recently photographed at a dinner attended by white supremacists in Washington, D.C., built a significant following among many who self-identified as being a part of the ‘alt-right.’ Trump drew significant support from those same followers during the election. . . . .
” . . . . Johnson also helped create a database where potential political appointees could send in their resumes to be considered for government positions. He has access to the website ThePlumlist.com, and though the recently created website remains dormant, candidates have been told to send their information to an email account associated with that domain. In November, The Daily Mail reported that Thiel maintains a database called the “Plum List” to track potential hires and qualified applicants. Sources familiar with the situation described the list as an intake system for the team, and said it was separate from the version that Thiel and his closest associates use to track final selections that are forwarded to Trump. . . .”
Johnson had a very telling observation near the end of the following article: ” . . . Johnson attributed much of the work that he and others have done in support of Trump to being able to tap into voters’ emotions through memes, such as the Pepe the Frog cartoon that became an informal mascot for Trump supporters. . . .”
A sign of the times manifested in Kentucky, where a group of tan, military style vehicles flying a Trump banner was spotted. “ . . . . Davis said it would also violate regulations to run a military convoy with no unit markings on the vehicles, and said he did not think the vehicles belonged to any service branch. Per the report, he suggested that they were military surplus. . . . ”
The vehicles belonged to an elite SEAL unit. “. . . . ‘The convoy were service members assigned to an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit driving vehicles while transiting between two training locations,’ Lieutenant Jacqui Maxwell, a spokesperson for Naval Special Warfare Group 2, told ABC News. Naval Special Warfare Units is the official Navy term for its elite SEAL special operations teams.. . . . ”
The founder of “the artists formerly known as Blackwater” Erik Prince has been serving as a back channel adviser on intelligence and security matters to Trump. “. . . . he may be making a comeback, this time as a backchannel advisor on intelligence and security matters to US President Donald Trump, The Intercept reported on Tuesday. It’s unclear when Prince made his way into Trump’s inner circle, but he has made sizable contributions to the pro-Trump Political Action Committee (PAC). The Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings for the PAC shows he made a contribution of $100,000 in September 2016 to their efforts. His mother Elisa Prince also gave $50,000 to the committee. Prince’s sister Betsy DeVos is Trump’s Secretary of Education choice. . . .”
In FTR #’s 941 and 942, we examined Tulsi Gabbard (D–HI), usually described as a “rising star” in the Democratic Party. Of substantively greater interest for our purposes is the fact that she was one of the driving forces behind the Bernie Sanders phenomenon.
This program updates that analysis, setting forth more about Gabbard’s behavior, associates and fascist/Underground Reich associations:
a)Gabbard received kid glove treatment from Pierre Omidyar’s Honolulu Civil Beat.
b)She recently took an unannounced, and possibly illegal, trip to Syria, during which she met with Bashar Assad. This further disrupts an already badly weakened Democratic Party.
c) Her trip was shepherded by: “. . . . Gabbard’s office claims her trip was funded by the Arab American Community Center for Economic and Social Services (Aaccess) – Ohio; however, the group has not reported any financial revenue to the US government since 2006. Bassam Khawam, the executive director of Aaccess who traveled with Gabbard, reportedly belongs to a pro-Assad Lebanese political party, the Syrian Social Nationalist party (SSNP). The party has dispatched its members to fight on behalf of the Assad regime during the nearly six-year war. . . .”
d) Bassam Khawam’s political affiliation with the Syrian Social Nationalist Party is “interesting”: ” . . . . They greet their leaders with a Hitlerian salute; sing their Arabic anthem, “Greetings to You, Syria,” to the strains of “Deutschland, Deutschland über alles”; and throng to the symbol of the red hurricane, a swastika in circular motion. These are the hallmarks of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), the oldest terrorist organization in existence today and one of the most secret and deadly. . . .”
e)More about Khawam’s political ally, the SSNP: “. . . . [founder Antun] Saadeh emigrated again to Brazil in 1938 and afterwards to Argentina, only to return to Lebanon in 1947 following the country’s independence from the French in 1943. On his way to Argentina, he visited Italy and Berlin, which increased the suspicions of the French that the SSNP might have been entertaining relations with the Axis. . . . Reeva Simon writes: “the party’s ‘leader for life’, was an admirer of Adolf Hitler influenced by Nazi and fascist ideology”. The party adopted a reversed swastika as the party’s symbol, sang the party’s anthem to Deutschland über alles, and included developing the cult of a leader, advocating totalitarian government, and glorifying an ancient pre-Christian past and the organic whole of the Syrian Volk or nation. . . . .”
Gabbard co-sponsored a bill that would classify anyone opposing Ukraine’s entry into the EU as a “terrorist.”
The program concludes with examination of another alleged Russian “hack,” which smells suspiciously like a “cyber-false flag” operation: ” . . . . Two new users showed up as registered administrators of the website: email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. The ‘.ru’ suffix indicates a Russian origin, Benson said. The profile pages of the users had characters in the Russian alphabet in ‘Address’ and ‘About Me’ fields, she said. . . .She said she can’t say whether Russians were really involved or whether the addresses could have been faked by someone mimicking a connection based on what had been in the news. But it was important that police and the FBI become involved, to ‘make this information part of the body of information police and the FBI are compiling from the national investigation,’ she said. . . .”
Program Highlights Include: The inclusion of Gabbard’s associates in the Hindu nationalist/fascist RSS in a prestigious Indian literary festival, symptomatic of a phenomenon similar to the rise of Trump: “. . . . ‘We are acknowledging that the intellectual nerve center has shifted, and the seat of cultural power has shifted, because no one was interested in inviting these guys before 2014,’ said Supriya Nair, a writer and editor who has attended the festival for the last six years. In any case, she said, the shift rightward had already taken place in the larger society. ‘This is a last bastion,’ she said. . . .”; Narendra Modi’s rise in India, what Supriya Nair described as a shift of “the intellectual nerve center” has been fueled by “dark money;” Trump PR man Felix Sater’s role in shepherding Trump’s trips to Russia; review of Sater’s work for the CIA;
review of Pierre Omidyar’s role in financing the rise of Narendra Modi and the OUN/B fascist in Ukraine.
This program continues our analysis of the Trump administration as the transformation of what Mr. Emory has called “The Underground Reich” into a mass political movement. At a policy level, the “Trumpenkampfverbande” is a vehicle for the implementation of German Ostpolitik, as set forth in FTR #’s 918 and 919.
Heavily overlapped with information discussed fleetingly in FTR #939, the program begins with analysis of a possible Ukrainian/OUN/B connection to the “high-profile hacks” allegedly perpetrated by Russia.
The hack of Clinton campaign manager John Podesta’s e-mail account (blamed on Russia) originated with a phishing e-mail from Ukraine. “. . . . The email, with the subject line “*Someone has your password,*” greeted Podesta, “Hi John” and then said, “Someone just used your password to try to sign into your Google Account email@example.com.” Then it offered a time stamp and an IP address in “Location: Ukraine.” . . . ”
Analysis of cyber-warfare is daunting–a skilled hacker or hackers can mask their identity effectively, with the result that “cyber-false flag” operations are difficult to discern. It is in this context that we revisit the subject of a Ukrainian fascist link to the “Russia did it” meme.
The OUN/B milieu in the U.S. has apparently been instrumental in generating the “Russia did it” disinformation about the high-profile hacks. In the Alternet.org article, Mark Ames highlights several points:
The “PropOrNot” group quoted in a Washington Post story tagging media outlets, websites and blogs as “Russian/Kremlin stooges/propaganda tools/agents” is linked to the OUN/B heirs now in power in Ukraine. ” . . . One PropOrNot tweet, dated November 17, invokes a 1940s Ukrainian fascist salute “Heroiam Slava!!” to cheer a news item on Ukrainian hackers fighting Russians. The phrase means “Glory to the heroes” and it was formally introduced by the fascist Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) at their March-April 1941 congress in Nazi occupied Cracow, as they prepared to serve as Nazi auxiliaries in Operation Barbarossa. . . . ‘the OUN-B introduced another Ukrainian fascist salute at the Second Great Congress of the Ukrainian Nationalists in Cracow in March and April 1941. This was the most popular Ukrainian fascist salute and had to be performed according to the instructions of the OUN-B leadership by raising the right arm ‘slightly to the right, slightly above the peak of the head’ while calling ‘Glory to Ukraine!’ (Slava Ukraїni!) and responding ‘Glory to the Heroes!’ (Heroiam Slava!). . . .”
The OUN/B heirs ruling Ukraine compiled a list of journalists who were “Russian/Kremlin stooges/propaganda tools/agents,” including personal data and contact information (like that made public in the WikiLeaks data dump of DNC e-mails). This list was compiled by the Ukrainian intelligence service, interior ministry and–ahem–hackers: “. . . . One of the more frightening policies enacted by the current oligarch-nationalist regime in Kiev is an online blacklist of journalists accused of collaborating with pro-Russian ‘terrorists.’ The website, ‘Myrotvorets’ or ‘Peacemaker’—was set up by Ukrainian hackers working with state intelligence and police, all of which tend to share the same ultranationalist ideologies as Parubiy and the newly-appointed neo-Nazi chief of the National Police. . . . Ukraine’s journalist blacklist website—operated by Ukrainian hackers working with state intelligence—led to a rash of death threats against the doxxed journalists, whose email addresses, phone numbers and other private information was posted anonymously to the website. Many of these threats came with the wartime Ukrainian fascist salute: “Slava Ukraini!” [Glory to Ukraine!] So when PropOrNot’s anonymous “researchers” reveal only their Ukrainian(s) identity, it’s hard not to think about the spy-linked hackers who posted the deadly ‘Myrotvorets’ blacklist of “treasonous” journalists. . . .”
A Ukrainian activist named Alexandra Chalupa has been instrumental in distributing the “Russia did it” disinformation to Hillary Clinton and influencing the progress of the disinformation in the media. ” . . . . One of the key media sources who blamed the DNC hacks on Russia, ramping up fears of crypto-Putinist infiltration, is a Ukrainian-American lobbyist working for the DNC. She is Alexandra Chalupa—described as the head of the Democratic National Committee’s opposition research on Russia and on Trump, and founder and president of the Ukrainian lobby group ‘US United With Ukraine Coalition’ , which lobbied hard to pass a 2014 bill increasing loans and military aid to Ukraine, imposing sanctions on Russians, and tightly aligning US and Ukraine geostrategic interests. . . . In one leaked DNC email earlier this year, Chalupa boasts to DNC Communications Director Luis Miranda that she brought Isikoff to a US-government sponsored Washington event featuring 68 Ukrainian journalists, where Chalupa was invited ‘to speak specifically about Paul Manafort.’ In turn, Isikoff named her as the key inside source ‘proving’ that the Russians were behind the hacks, and that Trump’s campaign was under the spell of Kremlin spies and sorcerers. . . .”
With traditional, “Atlanticist” conservative GOP figures aligning with elements of the CIA to finger Trump as a Putin tool, etc. an epochal event is unfolding, in our opinion. What the brilliant Berkeley professor Peter Dale Scott has termed “The Deep State” is squaring off with the Trumpenkampfverbande, with the latter networking with European fascist and center-left parties to improve relations with Russia. NATO and the Atlanticist dynamic that has dominated post World War II politics are receding, and a German-led EU military is gaining momentum.
Again, we forecast this in FTR #’s 918 and 919.
Next, we note the selection of Stephen Miller, another “alt-right” figure, as an adviser to Trump. “. . . . Miller is a former staffer for the nativist Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), now Trump’s nominee for attorney general. The announcement of Miller’s new role drew praise from white nationalist leader Richard Spencer. ‘Stephen is a highly competent and tough individual,’ Spencer, who famously coined the term ‘alt-right’ to describe the insurgent right-wing movement that has attracted white nationalists and supremacists, told Mother Jones on Wednesday. ‘So I have no doubt that he will do a great job.’ . . . .”
In past programs, we have noted the Third Reich origins of the Freedom Party in Austria. That party is now networking both with Putin and Trump’s “alt-right” leaning National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. One of the shared goals of both the Freedom Party, corporate Germany and–through the latter–the Underground Reich is the lifting of economic sanctions on Russia.
The broadcast underscores the continuity between the “new” Freedom Party and the old, Nazi-generated Freedom Party. The issue of the South Tyrol region is exemplary in this regard:
” . . . . A TV talk show host, Corinna Milborn, grilled [Freedopm Party presidential candidate Norbert] . . . Hofer last week for an hour over his alleged nationalist views and his calls for undoing the “unjust border” that keeps South Tyrol, a region of northern Italy, apart from Austria’s Tyrol. Mr. Hofer’s grin evaporated and he almost blew his cool. . . .”
Austrian Freedom Party founder Herbert Schweiger is no stranger to the issue of the South Tyrol: “. . . . Herbert Schweiger makes no attempt to hide his Nazi views. At his home in the Austrian mountains, the former SS officer gazes out of a window to a view of a misty alpine valley. Described to me as the ‘Puppet Master’ of the far right, Schweiger, 85, is a legendary figure for neo-Nazis across the world. Our time is coming again and soon we will have another leader like Hitler,’ he says. Still remarkably sharp-minded, Schweiger was a lieutenant in the infamous Waffen SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler, an elite unit originally formed before WWII to act as the Führer’s personal bodyguards. . . .He was a founding member of three political parties in Austria – the VDU, the banned NDP and the FPO. He has given his support to the current leader of the FPO. ‘Strache is doing the right thing by fighting the foreigner,’ says Schweiger. He is now in close contact with the Kameradschaften, underground cells of hardcore neo-Nazis across Austria and Germany who, over the past three years, have started to infiltrate political parties such as the FPO. His belief that the bullet and the ballot box go hand in hand goes back to 1961, when he helped to train a terrorist movement fighting for the reunification of Austria and South Tyrol. ‘I was an explosives expert in the SS so I trained Burschenschaften how to make bombs. We used the hotel my wife and I owned as a training camp,’ he says. The hotel he refers to is 50 yards from his home. Thirty people in Italy were murdered during the campaign. One of the men convicted for the atrocities, Norbert Burger, later formed the now-banned neo-Nazi NDP party with Schweiger. . . .”
In France, the center-left candidate for president–Francois Fillon–is pushing both for an increase in French defense spending and a German-led drive for an all EU army. Both are goals of the Underground Reich and the Trumpenkampfverbande, as set forth in FTR #’s 918 and 919. His views on rapprochement with Russia are typical of a significant portion of a relatively broad spectrum of European political parties. This resonates well with the Trumpenkampfverbande, again, as discussed in FTR #’s 918 and 919:
” . . . . similar trends are playing out in several European countries, along their own particular national lines. In Germany, for instance, center-left leaders are pushing to abandon their country’s role in leading European efforts to counter Russia. Instead, they advocate reverting to the Cold War-era policy of Ostpolitik, in which West Germany sought a neutral balancing role between East and West.
“Often, West European politicians do not see themselves as explicitly calling for aligning with Moscow, but rather for abandoning the costly mission to counter Russia’s aggression against faraway eastern states at a moment when they have more immediate concerns. West European leaders see themselves as fighting an increasingly untenable two-front war: a southern front against immigration and terrorism and an eastern front against Russia.
“ The eastern front is largely a project of policy establishments that see it as essential to maintaining Europe’s postwar order. Voters are more skeptical; a 2015 Pew poll found that slight majorities in France, Germany and Italy said their countries should not uphold their treaty obligation to defend an eastern NATO ally should it be attacked by Russia. Voters, particularly those on the right, have long seen southern issues — terrorism and immigration — as more important. Their threats to install far-right governments that would dismantle the European project entirely are increasingly credible. . . .”
The broadcast concludes with a look at Rex W. Tillerson, the CEO of Exxon Mobil, chosen by Trump to be Secretary of State. Tillerson is opposed to maintaining sanctions against Russia: ” . . . . At the center of the debate are questions about Mr. Tillerson’s vocal opposition to American sanctions imposed on Russia as he pursued oil and gas deals in that country. . . .” This too, is resonant with corporate Germany’s wishes as set forth in FTR #’s 918 and 919. Again, corporate Germany is dominated by the Bormann network.
We conclude with a recap of the Bormann capital network’s influence within Standard Oil of New Jersey (Exxon was formerly Standard of New Jersey, now merged with Mobil, Standard of New York.) ” . . .Vastly diversified, it is said to be the largest land-owner in South America, and through stockholdings, controls German heavy industry and the trust established by the late Hermann Schmitz, former president of I.G. Farben, who held as much stock in Standard Oil of New Jersey as did the Rockefellers. . . .”
Program Highlights Include: A recap of elementary features of German Ostpolitik; a synopsis of the OUN/B and its World War II and post-World War II operations; a synopsis of the information indicating Russia was not behind the high-profile hacks for which it has been punished.
Continuing analysis of Donald Trump’s candidacy, this program highlights Trump’s successful use of Hitler’s rhetorical style and principles. Blogger Josh Marshall noted: ” . . . This was as wild and as unbridled a speech as I’ve seen from Trump. Even if you couldn’t understand English, it would be stunning to watch the slashing hand gestures, the red face, the yelling. . . . Watching this speech, compared to the press conference today in Mexico City, what kept coming to my mind was the contrast between Hitler’s uniformed rally speeches from the hustings and the suited, statesman Hitler we see in the old news reels in Munich and at other iconic moments in the late 1930s. . . . the demagogic style, the frenzied invocation of familial blood sacrificed to barbaric outsiders – these are not unique to him [Hitler]. When we see this lurid, stab-in-the-back incitement, the wild hyperbole, the febrile railing against outsiders who will make us no longer a country – the similarities are real. More than anything, perhaps the most chilling part of this day is the contrast between the two men – a measured, calm statesman figure we saw this afternoon and this railing, angry demagogue figure who captured the emotional tenor of a Klan rally. . . .” The similarity does not appear to be coincidental: “. . . . Donald Trump appears to take aspects of his German background seriously. John Walter works for the Trump Organization, and when he visits Donald in his office, Ivana told a friend, he clicks his heels and says, ‘Heil Hitler,’ possibly as a family joke. . . . Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, ‘My New Order,’ which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. . . .” The principles of the book have been put into action: “. . . . But it appears that one way or another, much of the content in ‘My New Order’ about how Hitler says propaganda works, and how he structures his speaking style, and how Hitler targets the lowest-common denominator as his intended audience, has seeped into Trump: the way he speaks, argues, rages and responds in public. . . .” Trump’s rhetorical reincarnation of Hitler corresponds to political support from a bevy of fascists and white supremacists, old and new, as discussed in FTR #’s 882 and 920. Furthermore, the financing for his complex, mysteriously opaque real estate operations comes from institutions and individuals linked to the remarkable and deadly Bormann capital network, as highlighted in FTR #920. Continuing to manifest “dog whistles” directed at the Nazi faithful, Trump’s campaign presented the unlikely number of 88 high-ranking military officers who support his candidacy, channeling the “88” device used by postwar Nazis to code “Heil Hitler.” (“H” is the 8th letter of the alphabet.) One of the few observers to correctly analyze the scandalous role of the media in their coverage of Trump’s campaign is former CNN host Soledad O’Brien: ” . . . ‘If you look at Hillary Clinton’s speech where she basically pointed out that what Donald Trump has done — actually quite well — has normalized white supremacy,’ O’Brien explained to CNN host Brian Stelter on Sunday. ‘I think she made a very good argument, almost like a lawyer. . . . The former CNN host argued that the question that journalists should be asking is if Trump is ‘softening the ground for people — who are white supremacists, who are white nationalists, who would self-identify that way — to feel comfortable with their views being brought into the national discourse to the point where they can do a five minute interview happily on national television? And the answer is yes, clearly,’ she said. ‘And there is lots of evidence of that.’ . . .” The program concludes with a reading from “They Thought They Were Free: The Germans 1933-1945”–listeners should compare their subjective experience of the present with that of a professor who lived through Hitler’s ascension. Program Highlights Include: review of Deutsche Bank’s primary role in backing Trump’s business operations; review of George Soros’ backing of Trump’s business dealings; review of Soros’s role in “Aryanizing” Jewish property during the Holocaust; review of the links of the Bormann capital network’s pivotal role in Deutsche Bank and the Union Bank of Switzerland, another financier of Trump properties; an early manifestation of German “Ostpolitik,” in which the SS intelligence service floated the idea to Allen Dulles that Germany would ally with Russia.
QUICK: How many Presidential candidates can you name who kept a book of Adolf Hitler’s speeches by their bedside? Donald Trump does. For many years, what Mr. Emory terms “The Underground Reich” has been a fundamental point of discussion and analysis in these broadcasts and posts. In the third program analyzing the Donald Trump campaign, we examine the “Trumpenkampfverbande,” its political antecedents and adherents. Exemplifying, and networking with, generations of fascists and fascist organizations, the Trumpenkampfverbande embodies the emergence of the Underground Reich into plain view. A signature element of Trump’s campaign is his resuscitation of the “America First” slogan and concept, a manifestation both of his thinly-veiled appeal to Nazi and white supremacist elements and his willingness to cede dominance over world affairs to a German-dominated “third power bloc.” The America First concept mobilizes powerful feelings among those feeling overwhelmed and left behind by political and economic developments globally and in the United States. We note that the “original” America First was financed by Nazi Germany. Trump’s invocation of America First exemplifies the nature of his political heritage and allegiances. One of his top advisers Joseph E. Schmitz, “obsessed with all things German” and, according to associates, someone who “fired the Jews” (from the Pentagon) and manifested Holocaust denial. This is not atypical of “Team Trump.” One of the most important figures in mainstreaming “alt right” (i.e. Nazi, white nationalist and anti-Semitic) attitudes has been Breitbart’s Steve Bannon, now essentially running the Trump campaign. Trump and his campaign have a habit of re-tweeting information from “alt right” websites and message boards. Of primary significance in analyzing Trump concerns the main financial backer of his real estate projects–Deutsche Bank. In addition to the fact that this places a potential President in the position of owing upwards of $100 million to an institution that has openly defied U.S. regulatory positions, Deutsche Bank is a primary element of the remarkable and deadly Bormann capital network, about which we speak so often. Program Highlights Include: Analysis of the possibility that Trump’s father was in the Ku Klux Klan; review of Trump’s association with former Axis spy Norman Vincent Peale; review of Trump’s counsel–Senator Joe McCarthy aide Roy Cohn; Trump’s additional financial backing from George Soros, who got his start in business “Aryanizing” Jewish property during the Holocaust; Trump’s tweeting of a campaign ad featuring Waffen SS-clad World War II re-enactors; The enthusiastic suppoprt Trump has received from David Duke.
Continuing coverage of the re-emergence of fascism in Ukraine, this program highlights the Orwellian aspects of governance in Ukraine and the coverage of events there by the world’s media. Ukraine recently held a nation-wide minute of silence for Symon Petliura (as with other Ukrainian names, the spelling of his name is subject to varying transliteration.) In the immediate post-World War I period, Petliura’s armies butchered some 50,000 Jews. Also stunning, though predictable under the circumstances, is the Poroshenko government’s renaming of streets for Nazi collaborators Stephan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych. This has received scant, and altogether slanted coverage in the West, with Bandera’s well-documented alliance with Hitler being nuanced as “Kremlin propaganda.” It is now illegal in Ukraine to criticize Bandera, Shukhevych, the OUN/B or its military arm the UPA as having collaborated with the Nazis. The institutionalized masking of the true nature of the Ukrainian government continues apace, with U.N. observers barred from investigating torture by government forces in the civil war that simmers in the East, the branding of reporters covering the war as “terrorists” and the publication of their addresses by a pro-government website, and the publication by “The New York Times” of an apparently fraudulent claim of Russian masking of the presence of Buk missiles in Eastern Ukraine. Exemplifying the cover-up of the fascist nature of Ukraine is a piece from “The Huffington Post” that dismisses the verifiable Nazi nature of the Azov battalion as–once again–Kremlin propaganda. The source for the disinformation about Azov is Roman Zvarych, the former personal secretary to Jaroslav Stetsko, the head of Ukraine’s World War II collaborationist government. Program Highlights Include: the Dutch intelligence service’s disclosure that only the Ukrainian army had missiles capable of downing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH-17; the use of the “punisher battalions” (such as Azov) by the Ukrainian government to circumvent Minsk II; the tainting of evidence in the investigation of the downing of MH-17 by the corrupt nature of the SBU (Ukrainian intelligence); the trafficking in stolen art by Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, the former head of the SBU.
In July of 2015, Donald Trump tweeted a campaign ad that featured a picture of uniformed Waffen SS troopers in the lower right-hand corner. A photograph of Waffen SS-clad World War II reenactors, the picture was blamed on an intern. This has become a familiar sort of dodge by Trump when caught tweeting openly racist, anti-Semitic and/or pro-Nazi material–“Who, me?” “. . . . In an almost impossibly bizarre coincidence . . . . George’s brother John [Cairns] is also a stock photographer, and took the image of Nazi reenactors that was accidentally used in a flier for the campaign of North Carolina state legislator Tim Spear in 2010.. . . “
FTR #’s 914 and 915 feature former BBC and Reuters journalist Gerrard Williams, developing material he presented in his book (co-authored with military historian Simon Dunstan) “Grey Wolf: The Escape of Adolf Hitler.”
An apparent deal between Sullivan & Cromwell attorney turned spy Allen Dulles and Martin Bormann lies at the core of the Hitler escape, code-named “Aktion Feuerland” (Operation Land of Fire). In exchange for sparing the art looted by the Reich and granting the Western Allies access to Nazi military technology, Hitler’s escape along with those of Eva Braun, Martin Bormann and Gestapo chief Heinrich Muller were arranged. In addition, the SS and Gestapo-staffed Reinhard Gehlen spy outfit was also one of the “carrots” made available to the West in this deal.
The potential “sticks” were the full activation of the Nazi Werewolf guerillas to make life miserable for occupation forces, the destruction of the creme of Western art and a disinformation gambit presenting a Nazi operation to use U-boat launched V-1 missiles filled with nerve gas against New York. (The latter drew U.S. Navy anti-submarine forces away from the planned southern Atlantic route for Hitler’s U-boat escape.)
Because Allen Dulles faced prosecution for his operations on behalf of Third Reich industrial concerns, Dulles joined forces with Bormann. Using the extensive Nazi presence in Argentina, Bormann and Muller successfully spirited Hitler and Eva Braun out of Germany.
Much of FTR #915 deals with the re-establishment of Nazis in power in the “new” Federal Republic and the role of Martin Bormann directing that government from afar. The role of the Nazis and the Gehlen spy outfit in particular in the Cold War is a primary focus of FTR #915.
Program Highlights Include: the foundational role of the German/American corporate links in the realization of “Aktion Feuerland;” the role of Eva Peron (“Evita”) as a Nazi spy prior to, and during, World War II; Evita’s role as a functionary of the postwar Bormann capital network; the revenge taken by Muller on members of Juan and Eva Peron’s contingent for extorting money from the Bormann network; famed espionage novelist Ian Fleming’s role as a British commando securing both art and Nazi military technology as the Nazi armies retreated; mainstream press accounts of Hitler’s escape and postwar activities; the continued redaction and withholding of documents about Hitler’s postwar presence; death threats directed against some of the authors’ sources; review of the Vatican-linked “Ratlines” in the escape of Nazi luminaries; details of the faking of the death of Martin Bormann; the use of doubles for Hitler and Eva Braun in Aktion Feuerland; pressure from right-wing German sources on the authors, attempting to suppress the investigation; the faking of the “DNA test” on Bormann’s “corpse”; the role of Nazis in managing the Cold War.
A recent “New Yorker” article highlights aspects of the investigation into the huge “Riese” complex of tunnels in Poland, including: the possibility that huge amounts of Nazi wealth were stashed there, the possibility that prototype “flying saucers” may have been secreted there and the question of possible SS “guards” securing the complex against unwanted intruders (including a second generation of sentries). For more than three decades, we have examined disturbing evidence that AIDS was deliberately created and disseminated among various population groups considered “undesirable.” (Among the broadcasts covering this topic are: AFA #16, FTR #’s 16, 606, and 682.)
Apparently the application of genetic engineering to the discipline of biological warfare, AIDS manifests a highly suspicious epidemiological pattern. Only pure bred Northern Europeans–“Aryans”–featuring the CCR5 delta 32 gene have a hereditary immunity to infection by HIV. People of African extraction have a hereditary susceptibility to HIV infection.
Such an eventuality was directly foreshadowed in a House Appropriations Subcommittee hearing for the Pentagon budget: “Within the next 5 to 10 years, it would probably be possible to make a new infective micro-organism which could differ in certain important respects from any known disease-causing organisms. Most important of these is that it might be refractory to the immunological and therapeutic processes upon which we depend to maintain our relative freedom from infectious disease.” That is VERY close to being the clinical definition of AIDS.
In this broadcast, we take a frightening look into the future and ask where such developments might lead. With Bayer and BASF poised to purchase Monsanto–a leading GMO-producing company–we fear that genetically-engineered binary pathogens might be introduced into the food supply. (Since the program was recorded, Bayer has finalized the deal, with Sullivan & Cromwell as the U.S. legal counsel for the deal.)
Much of the program underscores the inextricable link between the remarkable and deadly Bormann capital network and I.G. Farben, during and after World War II. (We note that both Bayer and BASF are some of the I.G.’s successor companies, maintaining their profound connection to the Bormann group and the Underground Reich.) In addition to the prospect of the successor companies to I.G. Farben controlling the manufacture and application of GMO’s, we highlight disturbing evidence that other companies and interests that may well be part of the Bormann/Underground Reich nexus are gaining significant market shares of foodstuffs manufacturers that cater to middle, lower-middle and working-class populations.
Will genetically-engineered binary pathogens be introduced into the food supply? Will we be seeing the realization of Hitler’s vision of an “Aryan world” through dietary/culinary genocide?
Program Highlights Include: BASF’s partnership with Monsanto in the latter’s GMO projects; forecasts that BASF may acquire parts of Monsanto and/or Bayer that must be spun-off due to anti-trust considerations; Becker GMBH (a German food company begun by an SS officer with funds purloined during the Holocaust); Becker GMBH’s incorporation into ConAgra foods (almost certainly in exchange for significant stock ownership and/or a place on the board of directors); Brazilian-born, Swiss-based Jorge Paolo Lemann’s purchase of H.J. Heinz, Burger King and Anheuser-Busch; the development of the CCR5, delta 32 gene for successful stem-cell therapy for AIDS sufferers.
