We recall the tsunami of praise, Hosannas and Hallelujahs gushing forth from the world’s media and political punditry. Hailing the “Arab Spring” as the dawning of a new enlightenment in that part of the world, they missed the boat–fundamentally. We, on the other hand, were warning that this phenomenon was a Nazi operation, having been initiated by powerful corporate forces in the second administration of George W. Bush, it had its trigger with the WikiLeaks milieu–itself a far-right, Nazi-linked entity, as we demonstrated in FTR’s 732 and #745. (In addition to the documentation in the original WikiLeaks/Arab Spring series, see the article excerpted below.) Before delving into details, an excellent overview of recent events in Egypt was provided in an English-language blog by a citizen of that tortured country. The contradictions and deadly undercurrents of unfolding events were eloquently summed up by Mahmoud Salem in “Imagine.”
Just as we predicted during the long, tortuous For The Record series starting with WikiLeaks and morphing into “The Muslim Brotherhood Spring,” as we call it, Mohammed Morsi is assuming totalitarian powers. This assessment is being made by former supporters and critics alike. This should come as no surprise, considering the fascist nature of this organization. It is NOT, and has NEVER been, democratic in its orientation. We also predicted that the outcome would be disastrous. Stay tuned.
As forecast in the For The Record series dealing with WikiLeaks and morphing into the “Muslim Brotherhood Spring,” the GOP is tarring Barack Obama with the “soft on terrorism” brush–casting him as the second coming of Jimmy Carter. Attacking the Obama administration for not having prevented the lethal attack on the Libyan embassy, the GOP is explicitly comparing Obama’s actions with Carter’s behavior during the Iranian hostage crisis. The available evidence suggests that the “Muslim Brotherhood Spring” is a covert operation–the outgrowth of a George Bush State Department reassessment and rapprochement with the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as an approach made to the Egyptian April 6 movement during the closing days of Dubya’s second term.
Moving to expand Egypt’s power grid, that country’s Muslim Brotherhood president is reported to be moving to establish an Egyptian nuclear weapons program. The Muslim Brotherhood has long advocated the development of such a program, and Morsi’s announcement follows on the heels of his trip to Tehran. Some believe that Morsi may take the Iranians up on an offer to develop a nuclear deterrent.
Mohammed Morsi vowed to break with the ‘old ways’ if elected. Unfortunately, it looks like that’s because an embrace of the ‘really old ways’ is on the agenda.
The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood is now circumventing the law which banned female genital mutilation. What comes next?
German Pirate Party enjoying success as “protest party.” Will they become a German version of “Americans Elect” or the “Arab Spring”? Will they realize their hopes and transcend fascist elements present at their birth?
Muslim Brotherhood expresses rejection of emergency IMF loan. The Egyptian economy is in terrible shape. Is the Ikhwan planning to precipitate social chaos and implementing fascism as a “solution”?
Islamofascist Muslim Brotherhood behind recent coup attempt in Bangladesh.
Fascist Muslim Brotherhood gaining control of Egyptian politics, as predicted in For The Record. Predictions of liberal democracy proved wrong.
