FTR #454 The War President in Action

Recorded April 4, 2004 Listen: MP3 Side 1 | Side 2 RealAudio Archiving important material from past broadcasts about the Bush administration’s record on combating terrorism, this program evaluates the performance of this “war president” (as Bush characterized himself in a recent interview.) Not only has the administration run interference for powerful Saudi interests (with […]

The (Schedule F) Purge: Trump’s Big Revenge Plan, Brought to You By the Council for National Policy

It’s not a secret plot to purge the federal government of its career staffers and replace them with partisan hacks. It was a secret when then-President Trump set the plot in motion 13 days before the 2020 election with an executive order. The “Schedule F” executive order plot — centered around a bureaucratic loophole discovered in January of 2019 by an obscure Trump administration official — opened the floodgates. And while the mass firings never actually took place in the final months of the Trump administration, those floodgates remain open along with the plot. That’s the explosive revelation described in a pair of articles put out by Axios back in July: The Schedule F plot continues. The Trump administration isn’t wasting any time next time. A mass purge of the federal government will be one of the first moves of a second Trump administration. And now that Donald Trump has thrown his hat in the ring one more time the prospect of seeing this plot put into effect is very real. But as we’re going to see, that ongoing plot is real whether or not Trump gets the nomination and ‘wins’ the race. Because the ongoing Schedule F effort isn’t just a MAGA-land plot. The powerful Council for National Policy (CNP) is deeply invested in it, with the CNP’s Conservative Policy Institute (CPI) playing a leading and growing role. Schedule F is the plan. Or at least the start of the plan. As we’re also going to see, there’s a larger plot being developed for what to do after the Schedule F purge and all the obstacles are out of the way. A larger plot for that appears to be inspired by none other than Curtis “Mencius Moldbug” Yarvin, whose ideas for a post-democratic America are only growing in elite conservative circles. That’s the plot we’re going to be covering in this post. The plans for Schedule F and beyond. Plans and tens of millions of dollars and army of CNP-activists working to make them a reality.

FTR#‘s 1259 and 1260 How Many Lies Before You Belong to The Lies?, Parts 21 & 22

Updating coverage of the Ukraine war, the title of this series comes from the late, brilliant political comedian Mort Sahl’s 1976 autobiography Heartland. Mort Sahl was one of Jim Garrison’s investigators in the New Orleans DA’s investigation of the assassination of JFK.

The program begins with discussion of a powerful economic motive for baiting Russia into the Ukraine war–creating a pretext for obliging Europe and Germany to forego use of the Nordstream 2 pipeline and sever the EU from consumption of Russian natural gas.

” . . . . The only way left for U.S. diplomats to block European purchases is to goad Russia into a military response and then claim that avenging this response outweighs any purely national economic interest. As hawkish Under-Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, explained in a State Department press briefing on January 27: ‘If Russia invades Ukraine one way or another Nord Stream 2 will not move forward.’ The problem is to create a suitably offensive incident and depict Russia as the aggressor. . . .”

In FTR#1245, we detailed Swiss intelligence officer Jacques Baud’s analysis of Ukraine’s impending assault on the ethnically and linguistically Russian population of Eastern Ukraine and Biden’s signing off on that operation in order to realize American and Western European goals.

Next, we present an oblique, possibly very significant element. A Foreign Policy article discussing a forbearer of EU president Ursula Von Der Leyen’s who was a key Third Reich official in Galicia (Western Ukraine).

It appears that Joachim Freiherr von der Leyen was a member of the prominent silk merchant family into which Ursula married.

Conventional family trees make no mention of him: ” . . . . Joachim Freiherr von der Leyen ( September 28, 1897 in Haus Meer , Büderich (Meerbusch) ; † 1945 in Dresden ) was a German lawyer and administrative official who worked as a district administrator in the occupied countries of Czechoslovakia and Poland during the National Socialist period and as a district captain of the district of Galicia was involved in the organization of the Holocaust. Von der Leyen comes from the von der Leyen family of silk barons in Krefeld. . . .”

Next, we highlight the ongoing lionization of Ukrainian Nazi and fascist elements in the mainstream U.S. press.

A long spread in the Sunday New York Times beatifies the Nazi Azov Regiment, the chief Ukrainian unit defending the Azovstal steel works.

Another NYT piece presents a heroic portrayal of a Ukrainian saboteur from the Nazi/fascist Azov and Right Sector units: ” . . . . Before the war, Svarog occasionally joined weekend training with Right Sector and National Corps, a branch of the Azov movement, both of which are aligned with paramilitary units in Ukraine. . . .”

The elevation of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists by the U.S. is exemplified by a Pentagon-sponsored athletic competition: ” . . . .This August, during the Department of Defense’s annual Warrior Games at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, liberal comedian Jon Stewart awarded a Ukrainian military veteran named Ihor Halushka the ‘Heart of the Team’ award for ‘inspiring his team’ with his ‘personal example.’ Halushka happens to have been a member of the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, which has been armed by the US and integrated into the Ukrainian National Guard. . . . Perhaps the most famous Ukrainian Warrior Games participant is Yulia Palevska, who the New York Times has dubbed ‘a symbol of Ukrainian bravery and self-sacrifice.’. . . . Yulia Palevska and Ihor Halushka were members of the fascist Right Sector organization and Azov Battalion, respectively. . . .”

Next, we further develop Ukraine’s enemies/death list, noting the experience of former Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter.

Joining Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters and Henry Kissinger on the list, several of the members of which have been murdered, Ritter notes the presence of OUN/B youth camps in this country, possible breeding grounds for assassins.

Furthermore, Ritter correctly locates those OUN/B youth camps in the political continuum stretching from the Third Reich, through the Cold War, up to today—a continuum inextricably linked with the Gehlen organization.

“ . . . . I had to drive past Ellenville, a sleepy little town that is home to a camp belonging to the Ukrainian American Youth Association which, every summer, coordinates with the Organization for the Defense of Four Freedoms of Ukraine to hold a ‘Heroes’ Holiday’ honoring veteran of the Ukrainian People’s Army and the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. . . . That a monument to men responsible for genocidal mass murder and who, in the case of two of them (Shukhevych and Bandera) openly collaborated with Nazi Germany, could be erected in the United States is disturbing. [NB—Konovalets cooperated with the Third Reich as well, D.E.] That every year Ukrainian-American adherents of the odious ideology of Stepan Bandera gather to celebrate his legacy at a “children’s camp” where the youth are arrayed in brown uniforms that make them look like what they, in fact, are — ideological storm troopers for a hateful neo-Nazi ideology that promotes the racial superiority of the Ukrainian people, is a national abomination. . . . Bandera has been elevated to the status of a national hero in Ukraine, and his birthday is considered a national holiday. . . . The legacy of Stepan Bandera is at the very heart of what passes for Ukrainian nationalism today. It dominates the political arena inside Ukraine, where all competing political ideology and affiliations have been outlawed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. . . .”

In FTR #907, we noted the profound presence of the Ukrainian fascists in the United States, as well as their operational connections to the Third Reich. In FTR #1072, we noted the Ukrainian youth cadre in the U.S., and its affiliation with the OUN/B milieu in Ukraine.

Our next item out these connections, noting:

1. The CYM organization and its presence in the U.S.

2. The decisive involvement of post-World War II emigres in the growth of that movement.

3. CYM’s close affiliation with the OUN/B.

4. CYM’s uniformed, military orientation: ” . . . . Among the most popular activities are military-style games where campers are divided into two teams that have to dodge or capture their opponents by moving stealthily and organizing ambushes. . . . .”

Further solidifying the continuity between the Third Reich, the Gehlen Org and the GOP, we note that, while it was the BND (the intelligence service of the Federal Republic) the “Org” was financing the Eastern European fascist groups that encompassed the CYM camps in the U.S.

Our programs conclude with excerpts of another interview with Swiss intelligence officer Jacques Baud.

For the edification of the reader, we present the full text of the interview here.

In the program, we note Ukraine’s “mirror imaging” of the political and military aspects of the war, representing Ukrainian atrocities and war crimes as Russian.

In turn, Western media slavishly report the Ukrainian propaganda as fact, a dynamic Mr. Emory has cited as cementing the Nazification of America, begun during the closing stages of World War II.

Baud cites Ukrainian operations behind Russian lines: “ . . . . This is a terrorist campaign targeting pro-Russian Ukrainian personalities and officials. It follows major changes in the leadership of the SBU, in Kiev, and in the regions, including Lvov, Ternopol since July. It is probably in the context of this same campaign that Darya Dugina was assassinated on August 21. The objective of this new campaign could be to convey the illusion that there is an ongoing resistance in the areas taken by the Russians and thus revive Western aid, which is starting to fatigue. These sabotage activities do not really have an operational impact and seem more related to a psychological operation. It may be that these are actions like the one on Snake Island at the beginning of May, intended to demonstrate to the international public that Ukraine is acting. What the incidents in Crimea indirectly show is that the popular resistance claimed by the West in February does not exist. . . .”

Colonel Baud also highlights Ukraine’s shelling of the Zaporihizia Nuclear Power Plant: “ . . . . By bombing the plant, Ukraine could also be trying to pressure the West to intervene in the conflict, under the pretext that Russia is seeking to disconnect the plant from the Ukrainian power grid before the fall. This suicidal behavior—as stated by UN Secretary General António Guterres—would be in line with the war waged by Ukraine since 2014. There is strong evidence that the attacks on Energodar are Ukrainian. The fragments of projectiles fired at the site from the other side of the Dnieper are of Western origin. It seems that they come from British BRIMSTONE missiles, which are precision missiles, whose use is monitored by the British. Apparently, the West is aware of the Ukrainian attacks on the ZNPP. This might explain why Ukraine is not very supportive of an international commission of inquiry and why Western countries are putting unrealistic conditions for sending investigators from the IAEA, an agency that has not shown much integrity so far. . . .”

Colonel Baud sums up the role of terror central to the Nazified Ukrainian regime, parroted by Western MSM: “ . . . . Ukrainian crimes were beginning to be revealed on social networks, and on 27 March Zelensky feared that this would jeopardize Western support. This was followed—rather opportunely—by the Bucha massacre on 3 April, the circumstances of which remain unclear. Britain, which then had the chairmanship of the UN Security Council, refused three times the Russian request to set up an international commission of enquiry into the crimes of Bucha. Ukrainian socialist MP Ilya Kiva revealed on Telegram that the Bucha tragedy was planned by the British MI6 special services and implemented by the SBU. The fundamental problem is that the Ukrainians have replaced the ‘operational art’ with brutality. . . .”

Bringin’ It All Back Home? Again?

Western intelligence agencies–American in particular–appear to be recapitulating “Operation Cyclone” in Ukraine. That operation involved the training and operational insertion of Islamists into Afghanistan in that country’s war against the Soviet Union. “Cyclone 2” entails the use of Nazi/White Supremacist combatants in a clandestine effort against Russia in Ukraine. An important article from “The Gray Zone” reiterates the warning sounded here for years agout the “blowback” this will be having in the U.S. Ukrainian television anchor quotes Adolf Eichmann verbatim in this video from UKRAINE 24. WFMU-FM is podcasting For The Record–You can subscribe to the podcast HERE. Mr. Emory emphatically recommends that listeners/readers get the 32GB flash drive containing all of Mr. Emory’s 43 years on the air, plus a library of old anti-fascist books on easy-to-download PDF files.

FTR#1246 How Many Lies Before You Belong to The Lies?, Part 19

In this program, we present a second analysis of Colonel Jacques Baud’s analysis of the military situation in the Ukraine war.

Key Points of Discussion and Analysis: Colonel Baud recaps his analysis presented in his first article—that the move on Kiev was a diversion and the main “Schwerpunkt” of the Russian offensive is encircling the bulk of the Ukrainian forces concentrated on the border of the Donbass; Baud’s contention that the West fundamentally misinterpreted Russia’s operation because its analysts saw Russian intent as being what the West would have done—trying to capture the capital in order to effect “regime change;” Western political and media pundits are seeing things as they want them to be and not how they are; The West’s divorce from accurate intelligence provided by intelligence services; The West’s reliance on fundamentally unreliable Ukrainian battlefield “intelligence;” The West’s subversion of the possibility of a negotiated settlement by sending Ukraine weapons in the hope/belief that Ukraine has a chance of winning; Baud supports the view expressed in previous programs that Russia is NOT indiscriminately bombing civilian populations; Baud points out that Russia emphasizes action involving ground troops and does not engage in the kind of massive aerial bombardment that produced massive civilian casualties in Western military campaigns; Baud points out that Russian military action is primarily in the ethnic Russian areas of Ukraine in which the civilian population is not hostile to their forces; Conversely, the Ukrainian “ultra-nationalist” forces are deployed in cities where the civilian population has no connection with the combatants, maximizing civilian losses; Discussion of the Russian officers leading from the rear—leading to higher casualties and fundamental misunderstanding of this by Western commentators; Discussion of foreign “volunteers” fighting for Ukraine and the possibility of Western weaponry falling into the hands of future terrorists-to-be; Baud’s belief that U.S. and German intelligence knew of the Ukrainian intent to attack the Donbass, deliberately pushing Ukraine into the war; “Ukraine was thus instrumentalized to affect Russia;” Baud reiterates his contention that the West and France’s Macron, in particular, completely undermined diplomacy and upholding the Minsk agreements; A disturbing truth concerning Putin’s placing of Russia’s nuclear forces on high alert; “ . . . . it followed the thinly veiled threat made by Jean-Yves Le Drian, three days earlier, that NATO could use nuclear weapons . . .”; The increasing vulnerability of the West to manipulation by “false-flag operations;” The fact that Russia destroyed its stockpile of biological weapons and the West has not; “ . . . . But in the current atmosphere, all the conditions are now met for an incident to happen that would push the West to become more involved, in some form, in the Ukrainian conflict (a “false-flag” incident). . . .”

The program concludes with presentation of an interview with Jacques Baud, which will be read in full in our next program.

FTR#‘s 1178 1179, 1180: Fascism and The Uyghur Genocide Myth, Parts 1, 2, 3

The media in this and other countries have been dominated by a propaganda blitzkrieg alleging “genocide” being committed by China in its oil and mineral-rich Xinjiang province against the Turkophone, Muslim minority in that region.

This allegation is a well-documented political mythology, which has come to dominate the political and journalistic narrative in the U.S. because of media adherence to the pronouncements of a number of overlapping fascist organizations.

In addition to the dominance of coverage of Xinjiang by the German national Adrian Zenz, a fellow traveler of the OUN/B derivative Captive Nations Committee, the fascist mind control cult Falun Gong and elements that have evolved from the International Institute of Islamic Thought are deeply involved with U.S. intelligence cut-outs that have midwived the Uyghur “genocide myth.”

Pan-Turkist fascist elements in Xinjiang overlap Al-Qaeda affiliates.

An alleged U.N. report on the genocide stems from the allegations of the sole American member of a U.N. panel, who provided no corroborating evidence.

Key Points of Discussion and Analysis Include:

1.–” . . . . A spokesperson from the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) confirmed in a statement to The Grayzone that the allegation of Chinese ‘camps’ was not made by the United Nations, but rather by a member of an independent committee that does not speak for the UN as a whole. That member happened to be the only American on the committee, and one with no background of scholarship or research on China. . . .”
2.–” . . . . This is to say, one American member of an independent UN body made a provocative claim that China was interning 1 million Muslims, but failed to provide a single named source. And Reuters and the Western corporate media ran with it anyway, attributing the unsubstantiated allegations of one US individual to the UN as a whole. . . . ”
3.–” . . . . In addition to this irresponsible misreporting, Reuters and other Western outlets have attempted to fill in the gaps left by McDougall, referring to reports made by so-called “activist group” the Network of Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD). . . .”
4.–” . . . . However, tax documents uncovered by The Grayzone show that a significant portion of this group’s budget comes from the US government’s National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a CIA-linked soft-power group that was founded by the Ronald Reagan administration in the 1980s to push regime change against independent governments and support “free markets” around the world. . . .”

A “Gray Zone” piece from a couple of months ago about a major mainstream promotion of the genocide claims via a New York Times op-ed written by an American woman of Uyghur ancestry that more or less regurgitated the genocide claims of Adrian Zenz. The op-ed neglected mention that the author, Amelia Pang, was an employee of The Epoch Times from 2011–2016.

That paper is an organ of the Falun Gong cult.

The “Gray Zone” article does more than detail a major example of mainstream media catapulting this misinformation campaign.

The article underscores how the ‘concentration camp’ claims from the West suddenly erupted in 2017, after the Trump administration basically made a new Cold War with China a major foreign policy objective in keeping with Steve Bannon’s vision of a new Great Powers war.

Key Points of Discussion and Analysis Include:

1.–” . . . . The author of the New York Times op-ed, Amelia Pang, happens to be a former employee of the Epoch Times, a far-right propaganda arm of a fanatical anti-China cult called Falun Gong. . . .”
2.–” . . . . Pang’s op-ed ran just days before the Trump administration formally accused Beijing of genocide. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a far-right rapture-ready evangelical, alleged that China ‘has committed genocide against the predominantly Muslim Uyghurs and other ethnic and religious minority groups in Xinjiang.’ The Pompeo State Department provided no evidence to bolster its extreme accusations, yet alleged that China’s campaign of ‘genocide’ began in March 2017. . . .”
3.–” . . . . The report both Pang and NPR were citing was not a United Nations document, but rather an investigation by a far-right German academic named Adrian Zenz. . . .”
4.–” . . . . To make her case that the Chinese government was guilty of “genocide,” Pang misleadingly implied that the United Nations has accused China of the crime – a disinformation tactic that has become common in anti-China reporting in the Western media. But the UN has not done so. . . . ”
5.–” . . . . As Ajit Singh and Max Blumenthal reported for The Grayzone, Zenz’s estimate that ‘over 1 million’ Muslim minorities are held in ‘concentration camps’ in Xinjiang was based on a lone report by Istiqlal TV, an Islamist media outlet run by Uyghur separatists based in Turkey. The outlet provides a friendly platform for extremist supporters of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), a separatist group that seeks to build an Islamic state in Xinjiang, which it calls East Turkestan. ...”
6.–” . . . . ETIM, also known as the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), is an al-Qaeda-linked extremist militia that has carried out numerous terrorist attacks in Xinjiang. ETIM, also known as the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), is an al-Qaeda-linked extremist militia that has carried out numerous terrorist attacks in Xinjiang. It is recognized as a terrorist organization by the United Nations, European Union, and many countries. Pompeo’s State Department removed ETIM from the US government’s official terrorist list in October 2020, as part of Washington’s intensifying cold war on China. . . .”
7.–” . . . . The photo Pang referenced has been heavily circulated by Western media outlets and NGOs, and is upheld as practically the only image proving the existence of ‘concentration camps’ run by Beijing. This characterization is however deeply misleading. The photo was not taken by some courageous prisoner or crusading investigative journalist; it was published by the Chinese government itself, in a press release from 2014 — three years before the State Department claimed the ‘genocide’ began in Xinjiang. In fact, the original image was published on the Xinjiang Bureau of Justice’s own WeChat account, with a watermark identifying it as an official photo taken by Chinese authorities. Western anti-China propagandists have subsequently cropped off the watermark and presented the photo as proof of China caught in the act. . . .”
8.–” . . . . At the top of her personal website, Amelia Pang advertises her book, ‘Made in China: A Prisoner, an SOS Letter, and the Hidden Cost of America’s Cheap Goods,’ which is due in February 2021. The book’s homepage highlights a blurb written by Orville Schell . . . . Schell also has an eyebrow-raising record of work at the Ford Foundation, a CIA cut-out, in Indonesia from 1964 to 1966, at precisely the time when the country’s US-backed military dictatorship was enacting an actual genocide. With help from the CIA, Indonesia’s dictator Suharto murdered between 1 and 3 million communists, left-wing sympathizers, labor organizers, and ethnic Chinese people, in what the CIA privately admitted was ‘one of the worst mass murders of the 20th century,’ alongside the Nazi Holocaust. . . .”

Anti-Asian racism is very much at the forefront of public consciousness at the moment. It would be disingenuous for anyone to claim that the phenomenon  was unrelated to the full-court press against China.

Exemplifying that racism is a member of the Pan-Turkist fascist MHP party, which is front and center in the anti-Uighur destabilization effort and the propagation of the “genocide” myth. (We have discussed Pan-Turkist fascism in–among other programs–AFA #14  and FTR #59.)

“. . . . . In 2015, members of the MHP-affiliated Grey Wolves formerly led by Alparslan Türkes attacked South Korean tourists in Turkey, mistaking them for Chinese citizens, in protest of the situation in Xinjiang. Turkish MHP party leader Devlet Bahçeli defended the attacks. ‘How are you going to differentiate between Korean and Chinese?’ the rightist politician questioned. ‘They both have slanted eyes. Does it really matter?’ . . . .”

Yet another incisive, courageous article about the myth of Uighur genocide was published by “The Grayzone” in March.

The vehicle for launching this propaganda is The Newlines Institute, a subsidiary element of Fairfax University of America.

The founder of Newlines Institute is Ahmed Alwani, Vice-President of the International Islamic Institute, one of the organizations raided by Treasury Department and FBI agents on 3/20/2002 for allegedly funding Al-Qaeda and other Muslim-Brotherhood linked terrorist groups.

Key Elements of Discussion and Analysis Include:

1.–” . . . . The report, published on March 8 by the Newlines Institute for Strategy and Policy, in collaboration with the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights, follows a last-minute accusation made in January by the outgoing Trump administration, along with similar declarations by the Dutch and Canadian Parliaments. It was published shortly after the release of a remarkably similar report on February 8 that was commissioned by the US government-backed World Uyghur Congress, and which alleged that there is a ‘credible case’ against the Chinese government for genocide. . . .”
2.–” . . . . Ahmed Alwani is the founder and president of the Newlines Institute. Alwani previously served on the advisory board for the U.S. military’s Africa Command (AFRICOM) and is the Vice President of the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT); his father, Taha Jabir Al-Alwani was one of IIIT’s founders. . . .”
3.–” . . . . Newlines’ report relies primarily on the dubious studies of Adrian Zenz, the US government propaganda outlet, Radio Free Asia, and claims made by the US-funded separatist network, the World Uyghur Congress. These three sources comprise more than one-third of the references used to construct the factual basis of the document, with Zenz as the most heavily relied upon source – cited on more than 50 occasions. Many of the remaining references cite the work of members of Newlines Institute’s Uyghur Scholars Working Group’, of which Zenz is a founding member and which is made up of a small group of academics who collaborate with him and support his conclusions. . . .”
4.–” . . . . The leadership of Newlines Institute includes former US State Department officials, US military advisors, intelligence professionals who previously worked for the “shadow CIA” private spying firm, Stratfor, and a collection of interventionist ideologues. . . .”
5.–” . . . . Just days before Newlines Institute’s report on China was released, its FXUA’s accreditation was once again in potential jeopardy. On March 5, an advisory board to the US Department of Education recommended terminating recognition for ACICS. The National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity voted 11-to‑1 to recommend that ACICS lose the federal recognition it needs to operate. The advisory committee made the same recommendation in 2016, leading to the ACICS’s recognition being revoked under the Obama administration, before recognition was restored to the troubled accreditor in 2018 by then-President Trump’s Secretary of Education, the infamous privatization activist and oligarch Betsy Devos. . . .”
6.–” . . . . Newlines Institute published its report in collaboration with The Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights. The report’s principal author, Yonah Diamond, is legal counsel for The Wallenberg Center, and many of the report’s signatories hold affiliations with the organization. . . .”
7.–” . . . . The Wallenberg Centre has become a haven for anti-China hawks, including Senior Fellows David Kilgour, former Canadian Secretary of State, and David Matas. . . . Kilgour and Matas have extensive ties to the far-right, anti-China religious cult Falun Gong. Both men are regularly contributors to the group’s propaganda arm, The Epoch Times, a media network that The New York Times has described as an ‘anti-China, pro-Trump media empire’ and ‘leading purveyor of right-wing misinformation’. . . . ”

The program concludes with discussion of the Wallenberg family, one of Sweden’s most prominent industrial clans and inextricably linked with both the international cartel system, the Third Reich and–as we see below–the remarkable and deadly Bormann flight capital organization.

The Wallenbergs were centrally involved in numerous cloaking operations for Nazi big business, and also had strong links to the Allied industrial firms undertaking war production.

(The substance and complexities of the cartel system and international fascism were discussed in–among other programs–FTR#511. The overall political and historical context in which the cartels operate–globalization–is analyzed in the introduction to the Books for Download section.)

Exemplifying the family’s position in the Wall Street/cartel pantheon is George Murnane of the Wallenberg holding company A.B. Investor: ” . . . . In November 1940, a voting trust agreement was set up in the United States under which George Murnane was designated by the Wallenbergs’ Enskilda Bank as the sole voting trustee with complete power to vote the American Bosch stock at stockholders’ meetings in the United States. The voting trust arrangement provided that if George Murnane should die, his successor should be named by John Foster Dulles, senior partner of Sullivan & Cromwell, the law firm which represents the Wallenbergs and the Enskilda Bank in the United States. . . .”

One of the most significant of the Wallenbergs’ operations concerned its global monopoly on ball bearings and its shipment of Swedish bearings to offset Nazi Germany’s losses in the costly Schweinfurt raids.

” . . . . It happened that two thirds of Germany’s entire bearing industry was concentrated in a single group of four factories at Schweinfurt. Three of them, accounting for 36 per cent of Germany’s productive capacity, were owned by VKF; and one, accounting for 30 per cent of German capacity, was owned by the only remaining large independent, Fischer A.G.

When American air forces bombed Schweinfurt during the war, in an effort to knock out this strategic point in German industrial production, Schweinfurt was discovered to be one of the most heavily defended spots in Germany. German defenses inflicted a loss of fifty American heavy bombers in one raid alone. When these raids temporarily knocked out Schweinfurt, the effect was largely nullified by shipments of bearings from SKF in Sweden. . . .”

It is this heritage that underlies the Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights.

FTR #‘s 1061, 1062, 1063, 1064, 1065, 1066, 1067 and 1068: Socialists for Trump and Hitler (The “Assistance”), Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8

We have wondered about the ascent of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a political animal. We wondered whether she might be a “ringer,” elevated and promoted by the far right and, perhaps, elements of the CIA, because she is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT from their standpoint. In fact, she is straight from the Amazon (ahem) mail order catalog: an outspoken Latina who fits neatly into the anti-Latin bigotry institutionalized in Trump’s GOP, brands as a socialist (perfect for the Karl Roves and Trumps of this world), has stated her intention to work against Democratic incumbents with whose policy positions she disagrees, and demonstrated a lack of economic sophistication in her comments about Amazon’s failed New York City Deal and in the presentation of the Green New Deal.

The ascent of AOC was effected in large measure by two overlapping organizations–Justice Democrats and Brand New Congress–both co-founded by Saikat Chakrabarti, and Indian-American, Harvard-educated, Wall Street and Silicon Valley multi-millionaire, and fan of major Axis collaborator Subhas Chandra Bose. Brand New Congress was co-founded by a University of Pennsylvania-educated Turkish American, Cenk Uygur, who has a history of denying the Turkish genocide against the Armenians, as we shall see. (Like Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania is an Ivy League School.)

The radical Democratic newcomers are precipitating a war within the Democratic Party, ignoring the fact that the Democrats retook Congress as a result of victories by moderate candidates in districts taken by Trump in 2016.

Chakrabarti is fundamental to the rise of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Chakrabarti was AOC’s campaign manager and is her current chief of staff. Both Justice Democrats and Brand New Congress donated a total of $900,000 to a consulting firm also headed by Chakrabarti. Until recently, AOC sat on the board of one of them.

In a recent twitter video post defending AOC’s mercurial social media activity, Chakrabarti appeared with a T‑Shirt featuring a picture of Subhas Chandra Bose, an Indian nationalist who allied himself with both Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. He has a habit of wearing Subhas Chandra Bose garb.

Some of Bose’s many profound relationships and operational deeds in connection with the Axis and the Second World War:

1.–In addition to networking with Heinrich Himmler, as pictured above, left, he met with Adolf Hitler and was praised by Der Fuhrer. ” . . . . You are fortunate having been born in a country of glorious cultural traditions and a colossal manpower. I am impressed by the burning passion with which you and your Netaji [Bose] seek to liberate your country from foreign domination. Your Netaji’s status is even greater than mine. While I am the leader of 80 million Germans, he is the leader of 400 million Indians. In all respects he is a greater leader and a greater general than myself. I salute him, and Germany salutes him. It is the duty of all Indians to accept him as their führer and obey him implicitly. I have no doubt that if you do this, his guidance will lead India very soon to freedom.”
2.–Bose networked with SS chief Heinrich Himmler and, ultimately, his European fighting forces were folded into the Waffen SS: ” . . . . The Indian Legion (German: Indische Legion), officially the Free India Legion (German: Legion Freies Indien) or Infantry Regiment 950 (Indian) (German: Infanterie-Regiment 950 (indisches), I.R. 950) and later the Indian Volunteer Legion of the Waffen-SS (German: Indische Freiwilligen Legion der Waffen-SS), was a military unit raised during the Second World War in Nazi Germany. Intended to serve as a liberation force for British-ruled India, it was made up of Indian prisoners of war and expatriates in Europe. Because of its origins in the Indian independence movement, it was known also as the “Tiger Legion”, and the “Azad Hind Fauj”. Initially raised as part of the German Army, it was part of the Waffen-SS from August 1944. Indian independence leader Subhas Chandra Bose initiated the legion’s formation, as part of his efforts to win India’s independence by waging war against Britain, when he came to Berlin in 1941 seeking German aid. . . .”
3.–Bose networked with Mussolini, Prime Minister Hideki Tojo and even Emperor Hirohito himself during the course of his alignment with the Axis: ” . . . . Having met with Hitler, Italian Fascist Duce Benito Mussolini, and Japanese Premier General Hideki Tojo, Bose was, at one time or another, backed by all three of the major Axis powers. . . . Like Il Duce and the Führer before him, Bose now claimed the multiple titles and offices of head of state, prime minister, minister of war, and head of the foreign office. On the 23rd, the new chief executive officer made a state visit to Japan’s Emperor Hirohito during the Greater East Asia Conference in Tokyo . . . .”
4.–Bose also wrote for the journal of pan-Germanist philosopher Karl Haushofer. Kevin Coogan notes the philosophy of Karl Haushofer, an early influence on Hitler and Third Reich geo-politics, exemplifying some of the historical genesis of the Nazi/Hindu nationalist link. ” . . . . In the 1930’s, Indian nationalist leader Subhas Chandra Bose [whose Indian national Army later received military support in World War II from both Germany and Japan] was a correspondent for the Zeitschrift fur Geopolitik. [Haushofer’s publication.] . . . .”
5.–In addition to Haushofer,  Bose networked with other theoretical luminaries of fascism and institutions and individuals involved with clandestine operations and intelligence matters, including: The Japanese Black Dragon Society and its patriarch Mitsuru Toyama, Abwehr head Wilhelm Canaris, Haj Amin El-Husseini (the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, a Major General in the Waffen SS, the foremost organizer of Muslim combat units for the Nazis and the first leader of the Palestinian National Movement) and Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels.
6.–In connection with his work for Goebbels, it is worth noting that Bose’s Axis propaganda broadcasts were countered with George Orwell’s broadcasts for the Allies: ” . . . . . Bose set up the Free India Center in Berlin and began radio broadcasts from Nauen, Germany, to his far-off homeland on February 19, 1942. Bose’s British Broadcasting Corporation rival and counterpart, author Eric Blair (aka George Orwell of Animal Farm and 1984 fame), led the Allied propaganda team that fought Bose over the radio. . . . ”

It should be noted that Bose was not one of the Hindutva fascists, who belonged to the RSS and the closely-allied Hindu Mahasabha. He was, however, an Axis-allied fascist military leader, like some other nationalists in colonial territories, who sought alliance with the armies of Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan and, to a lesser extent, fascist Italy as vehicles for ousting their colonial masters.

Bose appears to have faked his 1945 death in a plane crash. If so, the probability is high that he continued his political work underground, very possibly in connection with some of the Axis elements with which he was associated during the war, and/or elements of CIA or other intelligence services. ” . . . . Although Netaji (Great Leader) Bose was reported killed in an air crash in August 1945 . . . . many believed then and continue to believe now that, helped by his Japanese allies, he faked his death . . . . and returned to India many years later . . . . In his inquiry report, completed in 2006, Justice Mukherjee was categoric. He concluded: ‘Netaji Bose is dead [a safe bet as he would have been 109]. He did not die in the plane crash as alleged and the ashes in the Japanese temple in Tokyo [maintained by the Indian government since 1945] are not of Netaji.’ . . .”

Cenk Uygur–the Ivy-League educated co-founder (with Chakrabarti) of Brand New Congress, has a history of denying the Turkish genocide of Armenians during World War I: ” . . . . . . . . Hence, once you really examine the history of the time it becomes apparent that the allegations of an Armenian Genocide are unfounded. So the question arises of why the Armenians would bother to conjure up such stories . . . . . . . every non-Armenian scholar in the field believes it is an open question whether this event was a genocide. Is it the claim of the article that all of these people are tainted by the tentacles of the Turkish government? If not, then why is it not pointed out that no one outside of the ‘Armenian position’ believes it is a genocide? . . . ”

We note that, in addition to manifesting material supportive of the World War II Axis and denying genocide, the Chakrabarti/Uygur team has engineered much that fits neatly into the GOP strategy. The “war” they plan on “leaning into” within the Democratic Party benefits Trump/GOP/Karl Rove and might just as well have been scripted by them. ” . . . . it is the Justice Democrats who see Ocasio-Cortez as just the opening act in an astonishingly ambitious plan to do nothing less than re-imagine liberal politics in America—and do it by whatever means necessary. . . . If that requires knocking out well-known elected officials and replacing them with more radical newcomers, so be it. And if it ends up ripping apart the Democratic Party in the process—well, that might be the idea.  ‘There is going to be a war within the party. We are going to lean into it,’ said Waleed Shahid, the group’s spokesman. . . .”

With “Subhas Chandra” Chakrabarti and “What Armenian Genocide?” Uygur promoting her political ascent, we should note how much of what she says is perfect for Team Trump. AOC has intoned that jobs should be provided for people “unwilling to work,” that capitalism was “irredeemable” and adorned the fundamentally important concept of a “Green New Deal” with a progressive wish list that provided propaganda fodder for Team Trump.

Brad Parscale is heading Trump’s 2020 reelection team and, in so doing, has reassembled the Cambridge Analytica team from 2016. AOC has long been prolific in her use of social media and online communication. We wonder if AOC may have been identified, profiled and data-based by an AI-assisted data mining operation along the lines of what Cambridge Analytica engineered on behalf of Trump during the 2016 campaign?
