COMMENT: Although Mr. Emory will con­tin­ue to do the week­ly For The Record pro­grams and writ­ten descrip­tions, he is launch­ing a Patre­on site that will fea­ture record­ed prod­uct and writ­ten tran­scripts, pro­duced sev­er­al times a week. For the bet­ter part of half a cen­tu­ry, Mr. Emory has labored with­out pay.

Going on the air on his 30th birth­day, he is now clos­ing on 73 years old. Being too poor to retire and too old to do the blue-col­lar jobs through which he has sus­tained him­self, the Patre­on prod­uct is a neces­si­ty.

Behind a very mod­est­ly-priced pay­wall, more infor­mal, yet doc­u­men­ta­tion-ref­er­enced talks will be pro­duced more fre­quent­ly.
