A Peter Thiel Pro­tégé, Cathy Tie has been at the fore­front of uti­liz­ing the CRISPR-Cas9 tech­nol­o­gy to present “design­er embryos.” Work­ing to improve that tech­nol­o­gy and join­ing oth­er Thiel-financed indi­vid­u­als in devel­op­ing this eugen­ics-adjunct dis­ci­pline, Tie has not been as trans­par­ent about her activ­i­ties as she would have us believe.

On the hori­zon of this work is the “edit­ing to taste” of prog­e­ny to suit the wims of the wealthy. With Jef­frey Epstein being among the “Thiel-adja­cent” indi­vid­u­als look­ing to seed­ing the future of the human land­scape, this is a field of tech­no­log­i­cal devel­op­ment that should be watched very close­ly.

The pos­si­bil­i­ties of this high­ly advanced form of genet­ic engi­neer­ing should inform us of the hori­zons of its man­i­fes­ta­tion with regard to the “aliens are among us/have vis­it­ed us/are “ancient astronauts”/are “inter­di­men­sion­al beings”/are “fall­en angels.”
