COMMENT: On Sunday, September 13th, Dave did a second talk with Bradley about his late, dear friend and colleague Mae Brssell.
A researcher well ahead of her time and a political/intellectual pioneer in many important respects, Mae has become something of a cult figure in death.
The brilliant and ground-breaking, important parts of Mae’s work has been eclipsed by a cult that has arisen among people that never did anything to help her doing her lifetime.
Mae also had shortcomings as a human being and as a researcher. Those shortcomings helped lead to the veil that has been drawn over her and her work by the far-right elements with whom she networked near the end of her life.
That dynamic is the essence of tragedy.
Discussion and Analysis Includes: A breakdown of Mae’s article for the now-defunct Rebel magazine detailing Nazi connections to the JFK assassination; Discussion of the lack of footnotes in Mae’s article; Mae’s pioneering work on the profound Nazi involvement in the assassination of JFK; Mae’s groundbreaking work on mind control; Mae’s groundbreaking work on provocations executed by the national security establishment, especially her analysis of what she called “The California Violences;” Analysis of aberrant, skewing viewpoints about Mae’s work; Mae’s pioneering work on the financing of fascism by the most powerful corporate interests in the U.S.
