COMMENT: As men­tioned so often here, the Mus­lim Broth­er­hood-pri­ma­ry ben­e­fi­cia­ry of the so-called Arab Spring covert operation–is an Islam­ic fas­cist group with alliances stretch­ing back to the Axis pow­ers of World War II and off­shoots includ­ing al-Qae­da, Hamas and Pales­tin­ian Islam­ic Jihad.

The term “fas­cist” often fails to accu­rate­ly con­vey the true hor­ror of that to which the orga­ni­za­tion and relat­ed ele­ments are ded­i­cat­ed. 

Although female gen­i­tal muti­la­tion (sur­gi­cal removal of wom­en’s cli­toris­es to pre­vent “impure thoughts”) was banned by Egypt­ian law under Mubarak, the Broth­er­hood has been orga­niz­ing med­ical con­voys admin­is­ter­ing the banned prac­tice.

After win­ning sig­nif­i­cant par­tic­i­pa­tion in the Egypt­ian par­lia­ment in the ear­ly part of the last decade, the Broth­er­hood lob­bied hard to pass a law that would have banned san­i­tary nap­kin dis­pensers from wom­en’s bath­rooms in pub­lic high school. This would have forced female stu­dents to remain at home when men­stru­at­ing. Islam tra­di­tion­al­ly views women as unclean when men­stru­at­ing and for­bids men from hav­ing con­tact with them at that time.

Will the Broth­er­hood start to work on that one next?

Nev­er lose sight of the accla­ma­tion of the Broth­er­hood as enlight­ened by many ele­ments in the West, rang­ing from the World Bank to the main­stream U.S. media to Cindy “Look Ma, No Brains” Shee­han to the pun­dits of Paci­fi­ca Radio.

Guess we don’t quite under­stand the term “enlight­ened.”

EXCERPT: Egypt­ian media is report­ing on com­plaints con­cern­ing med­ical con­voys orga­nized by the Egypt­ian Mus­lim Brotherhood’s polit­i­cal par­ty which are alleged to be involved with female cir­cum­ci­sion. Accord­ing to a Bikya Masr report:

A num­ber of Egypt­ian human rights groups have sub­mit­ted a com­mu­ni­ca­tion to the Attor­ney Gen­er­al Abdel Meguid Mah­moud against the Mus­lim Brotherhood‘s polit­i­cal arm, the Free­dom and Jus­tice Par­ty (FJP) to inves­ti­gate the com­plaints of peo­ple in the vil­lage of Abu Aziz in the Minya gov­er­norate, south of Cairo, over the exis­tence of a large med­ical con­voy orga­nized by the par­ty that wan­ders streets and does med­ical exam­i­na­tion on peo­ple, includ­ing female cir­cum­ci­sion, or female gen­i­tal muti­la­tion, in vio­la­tion of Egypt­ian law, con­ven­tions and treaties signed by Egypt. In Egypt’s legal code, Female Gen­i­tal Muti­la­tion is crim­i­nal­ized, as well as the incit­ing by doc­tors to con­vince fam­i­lies of the young girls of the need to agree to cir­cum­cise their daugh­ters, ‘as a mat­ter of pre­serv­ing chasti­ty.’ . . .
