COMMENT: The last day of the shortest month of the year saw Dave interviewing long-time broadcaster, podcaster and licensed private investigator Ed Opperman about “L’Affaire Epstein.”
Tracing the rise of Epstein’s finances from the Towers imbroglio (the second-largest Ponzi scheme on record), Ed notes the disappearance of $600 million dollars from the Towers’ collapse and the simultaneous appearance of $400 million in Epstein’s trust.
Having investigated the situations of Epstein victims, Ed noted that the news coverage of the Epstein affair is being dominated by members of “Team Epstein!”
From the many attendees at Royal Palms High School in Florida, to star athletes at Ohio State University, to movers and shakers in show business, organized crime and New York real estate and “Big Money” landscapes, people linked to Epstein populate the cognitive environment that shapes our world.
Of particular interest is “ex” CIA officer William Barr: Attorney General under George H.W. Bush and again under Trump. Barr’s close relationship with the Florida-based law firm Kirkland Ellis is set forth in the talk.
Something of a puzzle concerns Epstein’s financial relationship with the late “alternative publishing” entrepreneur Paul Krassner!
Ed’s work has been accessed, plagiarized, distorted and ignored–this talk is a “must” for anyone genuinely interested in the circumstances of our times.
Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of the interview concerns the obfuscation of the profound money flowing through and around the Epstein affair by the sexual imbroglios, which appear to have been levers to lubricate and facilitate “The Money-Go Round.”
