Pravy Sektor Storms Ukrainian Parliament

COMMENT: Pravy Sektor street soldiers stormed the Ukrainian parliament in Kiev over the death of one of their number [1] at the hands of security forces. Pravy Sektor, along with the supposedly respectable Swoboda, is one of the two OUN/B successor organizations that dominates the Ukrainian government.

It will be interesting to see how the Ukrainian population receives the austerity package [2] that the EU has in place for them!

Stay tuned!

“Ultra-Nationalist Group Riles Kiev as Congress Approves Aid Bill” by Danielle Wiener-Bronner; The Wire; 3/28/2014. [10]

EXCERPT: . . . . Ukraine has agreed [11] to harsh austerity measures, like hiking up the price of gas, in accepting the International Monetary Fund’s bailout package. But unrest is stirring in Kiev again, putting local leaders on edge. On Thursday night, activists from the ultra-nationalist group Right Sector stormed the parliamentary building [12] in Kiev, blaming the government for the death of leader Oleksandr Muzycho.
