COMMENT: On Fri­day, August 7^th, Dave did his sec­ond month­ly talk for August. With obser­va­tions of the atom­ic bomb­ings of Hiroshi­ma and Nasa­ki occu­py­ing much of the pub­lic dis­course, Mr. Emory not only eval­u­at­ed the atom­ic bomb­ings and their effect on the ear­ly Cold War, but he recapped key details of his work on the Port Chica­go explo­sion.

Offi­cial­ly por­trayed as the explo­sion of an ammu­ni­tion ship, the Port Chica­go explo­sion actu­al­ly appears to have been the suc­cess­ful test of an ear­ly atom­ic bomb, the Mark II. Draw­ing on a Mis­cel­la­neous Archive Show about the explo­sion and sev­er­al For The Record pro­grams detail­ing the event, Mr. Emory doc­u­ments the fact of the suc­cess­ful test of the Mark II.

Divid­ing Korea along the 38^th par­al­lel, the atom­ic bomb­ing of Nagasa­ki on the 9^th of August appar­ent­ly set the stage for Colonel Dean Rusk’s suc­cess­ful pro­pos­al to par­ti­tion the coun­try on August 10.

What thus became South Korea pre­clud­ed the reuni­fi­ca­tion of the coun­try with the North when the Kore­an War was pre­cip­i­tat­ed by the appar­ent false flag attack by the South on the North.

Turn­ing to the sub­ject of AI’s, Mr. Emory not­ed the grow­ing capac­i­ty of the tech­nol­o­gy for “scheming”—the delib­er­ate pur­suit of agen­das not dic­tat­ed by the appar­ent con­trollers of the engines. This capac­i­ty has led to the AI’s hack­ing oth­er com­pa­nies.

The legal ram­i­fi­ca­tions of such AI behav­ior remain to be clar­i­fied and cod­i­fied.

Recent hacks against the water sup­plies of Min­neso­ta and Michi­gan may well have been “cyber-false flag oper­a­tions”, blamed on Iran. With “Team Trump” unable to find an exit to his ill-advised attack on Iran, the “cyber-false flag” gam­bit is one we should keep in mind.
