On Sun­day, 8/9, it was Dave’s plea­sure to host Recluse, set­ting forth Dis­cor­dian­ism, a rel­a­tivis­tic polit­i­cal phi­los­o­phy that over­laps the intel­li­gence com­mu­ni­ty, inter­na­tion­al fas­cism, an absur­dist aes­thet­ic and philo­soph­i­cal out­look.

Heav­i­ly over­lapped with the milieu sur­round­ing the assas­si­na­tion of Pres­i­dent Kennedy and cor­rupt­ing much of the research into that con­sum­mate­ly impor­tant event, Dis­cor­dian­ism might be seen as hav­ing spawned the rel­a­tivis­tic polit­i­cal and his­tor­i­cal per­spec­tive man­i­fest­ed in the Qanon meme.

Stem­ming from occult polit­i­cal and philo­soph­i­cal out­looks, Dis­cor­dian­ism was real­ized in con­sid­er­able mea­sure by Ker­ry Thorn­ley, a Marine Corps bud­dy of Lee Har­vey Oswald, an asso­ciate of the Guy Ban­is­ter milieu in New Orleans, net­worked with ele­ments of the Min­ute­men (a pow­er­ful mili­tia orga­ni­za­tion net­worked with ele­ments of the mil­i­tary and intel­li­gence com­mu­ni­ty), part of the milieu present at the Lake Pon­char­train train­ing camp out­side of New Orleans.

Among those help­ing to ele­vate Dis­cor­dian­ism was Robert Anton Wil­son, who ini­ti­at­ed Oper­a­tion Mind‑F***, which ele­vat­ed the mytho­log­i­cal Bavar­i­an Illu­mi­nati into pub­lic dis­course and con­scious­ness. Pur­pose­ful­ly pol­lut­ing the polit­i­cal milieu with dis­in­for­ma­tion he and his asso­ciates viewed as “amus­ing,” Wil­son, the late Paul Krass­ner and oth­ers in their orbit have left a lega­cy of dis­in­for­ma­tion, which has done much to cor­rupt and pol­lute the con­tem­po­rary polit­i­cal-intel­lec­tu­al land­scape.
