COMMENT:  On Fri­day, April 10, Dave parsed sev­er­al very dif­fer­ent analy­ses of what hap­pened in Iran last week. One account claims that the U.S. attempt­ed to hijack Iran’s enriched Ura­ni­um, anoth­er is dis­mis­sive of such analy­sis, main­tain­ing that it is impos­si­ble and that such an effort would entail vast­ly larg­er num­bers of troops, plus heavy equip­ment and vehi­cles to trans­port the ura­ni­um. Anoth­er analy­sis claims that, con­trary to U.S. insis­tence that the destroyed air­craft got “stuck in mud” or suf­fered “mechan­i­cal fail­ure,” the C‑130s appear to have been shot down.

Yet anoth­er analy­sis claims that the oper­a­tion was a high­ly suc­cess­ful res­cue mis­sion of a downed U.S. Air Force WSO. A key to at least par­tial analy­sis is the pho­to­graph of a pro­peller of a C‑130 that is bent back­ward.

Mr. Emory also high­light­ed a recent book about the pow­er­ful, Vat­i­can order Opus Dei and dis­cus­sion about its pro­found influ­ence on the cur­rent U.S. polit­i­cal land­scape.
