FTR #921 The Trumpenkampfverbande, Part 4: Trump on the Stump (The Underground Reich Emerges Into Plain View, Part 2)

Continuing analysis of Donald Trump’s candidacy, this program highlights Trump’s successful use of Hitler’s rhetorical style and principles. Blogger Josh Marshall noted: ” . . . This was as wild and as unbridled a speech as I’ve seen from Trump. Even if you couldn’t understand English, it would be stunning to watch the slashing hand gestures, the red face, the yelling. . . . Watching this speech, compared to the press conference today in Mexico City, what kept coming to my mind was the contrast between Hitler’s uniformed rally speeches from the hustings and the suited, statesman Hitler we see in the old news reels in Munich and at other iconic moments in the late 1930s. . . . the demagogic style, the frenzied invocation of familial blood sacrificed to barbaric outsiders – these are not unique to him [Hitler]. When we see this lurid, stab-in-the-back incitement, the wild hyperbole, the febrile railing against outsiders who will make us no longer a country – the similarities are real. More than anything, perhaps the most chilling part of this day is the contrast between the two men – a measured, calm statesman figure we saw this afternoon and this railing, angry demagogue figure who captured the emotional tenor of a Klan rally. . . .” The similarity does not appear to be coincidental: “. . . . Donald Trump appears to take aspects of his German background seriously. John Walter works for the Trump Organization, and when he visits Donald in his office, Ivana told a friend, he clicks his heels and says, ‘Heil Hitler,’ possibly as a family joke. . . . Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, ‘My New Order,’ which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. . . .” The principles of the book have been put into action: “. . . . But it appears that one way or another, much of the content in ‘My New Order’ about how Hitler says propaganda works, and how he structures his speaking style, and how Hitler targets the lowest-common denominator as his intended audience, has seeped into Trump: the way he speaks, argues, rages and responds in public. . . .” Trump’s rhetorical reincarnation of Hitler corresponds to political support from a bevy of fascists and white supremacists, old and new, as discussed in FTR #‘s 882 and 920. Furthermore, the financing for his complex, mysteriously opaque real estate operations comes from institutions and individuals linked to the remarkable and deadly Bormann capital network, as highlighted in FTR #920. Continuing to manifest “dog whistles” directed at the Nazi faithful, Trump’s campaign presented the unlikely number of 88 high-ranking military officers who support his candidacy, channeling the “88” device used by postwar Nazis to code “Heil Hitler.” (“H” is the 8th letter of the alphabet.) One of the few observers to correctly analyze the scandalous role of the media in their coverage of Trump’s campaign is former CNN host Soledad O’Brien: ” . . . ‘If you look at Hillary Clinton’s speech where she basically pointed out that what Donald Trump has done — actually quite well — has normalized white supremacy,’ O’Brien explained to CNN host Brian Stelter on Sunday. ‘I think she made a very good argument, almost like a lawyer. . . . The former CNN host argued that the question that journalists should be asking is if Trump is ‘softening the ground for people — who are white supremacists, who are white nationalists, who would self-identify that way — to feel comfortable with their views being brought into the national discourse to the point where they can do a five minute interview happily on national television? And the answer is yes, clearly,’ she said. ‘And there is lots of evidence of that.’ . . .” The program concludes with a reading from “They Thought They Were Free: The Germans 1933–1945”–listeners should compare their subjective experience of the present with that of a professor who lived through Hitler’s ascension. Program Highlights Include: review of Deutsche Bank’s primary role in backing Trump’s business operations; review of George Soros’ backing of Trump’s business dealings; review of Soros’s role in “Aryanizing” Jewish property during the Holocaust; review of the links of the Bormann capital network’s pivotal role in Deutsche Bank and the Union Bank of Switzerland, another financier of Trump properties; an early manifestation of German “Ostpolitik,” in which the SS intelligence service floated the idea to Allen Dulles that Germany would ally with Russia.

In FTR #‘s 724, 725, 732, 745 and 755, we have detailed the fascist and far right-wing ideology, associations and politics of Julian Assange and WikiLeaks. Lionized by the so-called progressive sector, as well as mainstream media sources like “The New York Times” and “Der Spiegel,” Assange’s true colors and fascist politics and associations have emerged on a larger stage. As the Trump campaign evolves, a major alliance between Trump and the Assange organization has developed. Obviously serving as a dirty-tricks cadre for the GOP, Assange is working hard to destroy Hillary Clinton with leaked documents intended to torpedo her campaign. Assange–not even an American citizen–is manifesting what we termed “technocratic fascism,” arrogating to himself the right to determine the results of the American Presidential election. Quoting from a seminal article by David Golumbia: ” . . . Hackers (“civic,” “ethical,” “white” and “black” hat alike), hacktivists, WikiLeaks fans [and Julian Assange et al–D. E.], Anonymous “members,” even Edward Snowden himself walk hand-in-hand with Facebook and Google in telling us that coders don’t just have good things to contribute to the political world, but that the political world is theirs to do with what they want, and the rest of us should stay out of it: the political world is broken, they appear to think (rightly, at least in part), and the solution to that, they think (wrongly, at least for the most part), is for programmers to take political matters into their own hands. . . .” Assange is networking with Trump’s dirty tricks operator Roger Stone and resonating with the right-wing GOP/Trump playbook in his activities against Clinton. A major portion of the program highlights the substantive evidence that the DNC hack was NOT done by Russia, but by someone trying to make it look like Russia did it. Assange is now strongly hinting that the source was Seth Rich, a Democratic National Committee volunteer who was murdered. Assange is obliquely suggesting that Clinton was behind the murder. (Rich’s family disputes this canard and is urging the public to disregard Assange’s claims.) The WikiLeaks Clinton e‑mail dump: ” . . . . The emails include unencrypted, plain-text listings of donor emails addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, passport numbers, and credit card information. . . .” Might this have had something to do with the murder of Seth Rich? Program Highlights Include: WikiLeaks’ disclosure of the Social Security and credit card number of Democratic contributors; WikiLeaks anti-Semitic tweet, labeling its critics as Jews; Assange’s oblique endorsement of Trump; Assange’s embrace of a synthesis of Chicago school and Austrian school neo-liberal economic theory; Assange’s operational resonance with Koch brothers associate Peter Schweitzer; review of Assange’s pivotal associations with fascists and anti-Semites like Carl Lundstrom and Joran Jermas (aka “Israel Shamir”); review of David Duke’s links to the WikiLeaks milieu and to Ron Paul (Snowden and Assange’s Presidential candidate of choice); David Duke’s support of Trump; ideological and rhetorical resonance between Ron Paul, Glenn Greenwald and Donald Trump; a bullet-point analysis that connects the dots between elements of this complex analysis.

FTR #901 Fascism: Past, Present and Future

Collaboration by powerful, influential Western and American institutions has enabled the perpetuation of what Mr. Emory calls “The Underground Reich.” In addition to the corporate interests who backed the Axis, journalistic organizations such as the Associated Press collaborated–the legacy of that collaboration being a distorted view of history. Much of the program highlights the return “above-ground” of political elements of the Underground Reich. In Ukraine, the heirs to the OUN/B fascists continue to gain gravitas politically and militarily. The openly Nazi Azov Battalion will now receive funding and training from the U.S. government, thanks to the omnibus funding bill passed in December of 2015. With Ukrainian members of Parliament openly manifesting their Nazi sympathies, those who profess to be “shocked, shocked” at developments should reconsider their point of view. In Croatia, Ustachi elements have gained control of the government, as attested to by the outgoing prime minister. Croatian cultural events, such as football [soccer] matches continue to experience open celebration of pro-Ustacha sentiment. After reviewing the Crusade For Freedom and its projection of Eastern European Nazi collaborators into the GOP, the program highlights the Nazi-like political agenda of the AfD. Represented as “anti-immigrant,” it embraces a quasi-eugenics agenda and historical revisionism reminiscent of the NSDAP’s agenda. The program concludes with a look at the future of fascism, with Nazi hacker extraordinaire Andrew “Weev” Auernheimer having hacked printers and made them spew white supremacist propaganda, as well as tweeting Nazi ideology in such as manner as to (apparently) augment his stash of Bitcoins. The program features a look at Tay, the Microsoft AI “chatbot” that turned into a Nazi 24 hours after going online. Program Highlights Include: the AP’s use of SS press liaison Franz Roth as a photo editor; the AP’s cover-up of the Lviv pogroms in Ukraine; the direct association of Croatian culture minister Zlatko Hasanbegovic with the son-in-law of Croatian World War II dictator Ante Pavelic; Auernhemer’s association with Glenn Greenwald; Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko being allowed to address to the Knesset–the Israeli parliament–despite his having laid a wreath in tribute to the OUN/B at the site of the Babi Yar massacre (1200 of the 1800 executioners at Babi Yar were from the OUN/B); the elevation of Svoboda party member Andriy Parubiy to be the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament; the use of the “14 words” by Svoboda politicians in Ukraine, as well as Auernheimer; recap of Croatian footballer Joe Simunic’s leading of a crowd in the “Za Dom Spremni” Ustachi chant.

In a recent appearance before a Jewish audience (while drumming up support for the Iran nuclear deal), President Obama noted that Iran was a country that denied the Holocaust. Obama’s remarks were deeply ironic in light of the fact that the OUN/B redux government in power in Ukraine (with American military, political and economic support) continues to manifest a profound Holocaust revisionism. Political and military allies of the Third Reich, the OUN/B under Stephan Bandera and Jaroslav Stetsko implemented ethnic cleansing massacres against Jews, Poles, Russians Roma and other “political undesirables” during the Second World War. Nurtured within elements of Western intelligence and incorporated into the Republican Party after World War II, the OUN/B were projected back into Ukraine following the breakup of the U.S.S.R. Implementing a law criminalizing criticism of the OUN/B and its military wing the UPA, the Ukrainian regime is institutionalizing a fundamental perversion of that region’s history during World War II. The Ukrainian perspective is being echoed in Western media and political pronouncements. Program Highlights Include: the Nazi Azov Battalion’s development of a youth wing; the whitewashing of the murderous career of Symon Petliura, a Ukrainian pogromist and antecedent of the OUN/B; the role of OUN/B operative Volodomyr Viatrovych in implementing Ukraine’s historical revisionism; continued cover-up of the facts concerning the shootdown of Malaysian Airlines flight MH-17; review of “Yuschenkoism”–Viktor Yuschenko’s revisionist policies that set the stage for Poroshenko’s perpetuation of those policies; review of Ukrainian presidents Yuschenko and Poroshenko honoring the OUN/B executioners at Babi Yar; Symon Petlyura’s abortive alliance with Vladimir Jabotinsky, which has been used to deny Petliura’s anti-Semitism.

Once again, we revisit the scenario presented in the Nazi tract “Serpent’s Walk.” Supposedly a novel, the book deals with a Nazi takeover of the U.S. in the mid-21st century by the SS, who have gained economic influence in the opinion-forming media and stood the political and historical record of World War Ii on its head. We are seeing this in Ukraine, where both presidents Yuschenko and Poroshenko visited the site of the Babi Yar massacres, in order to honor the OUN/B executioners who helped perpetrate the atrocity. Contemporary Ukraine is also seeing the atrocities committed by OUN/B and the UPA being officially denied and protected from criticism by new criminal laws. Supporters of OUN and UPA are denying their participation in the Lvov pogrom of 1941, despite clear historical evidence of their role. Contemporary anti-Semitism in Ukraine is being disseminated by the MAUP organization, which runs the largest private university in Ukraine. Program Highlights Include: David Duke’s teaching role at the MAUP-funded university; Julian Assange aide Joran Jermas aka “Israel Shamir,” who is part of the MAUP orbit; a march by OUN/B successor organization Pravy Sektor calling for a resumption of hostilities in the East; review of the role of the Nachtigall (“Nightingale”) group in the Lvov pogrom; review of the massive and well-connected Ukrainian fascist presence in the U.S. prior to World War II; the drafting of the new Ukrainian law criminalizing criticism of OUN and UPA by Yuri Shukhevych, the son of Roman Shukhevych, the head of UPA.

In the Nazi Tract “Serpent’s Walk,” the descendants of the SS take over the U.S. in the mid-21st century after gaining control of the opinion-forming media and perverting history and political science to portray the Third Reich as good guys. The Ukrainian crisis has produced a similar phenomenon. Both in Ukraine and in the world at large, the heirs to the OUN/B Third Reich allies governing that unfortunate country are being portrayed as “democrats” and even “heroes.” By the same token, those willing to accurately portray the pro-Bandera elements controlling Ukraine as the fascists that they clearly are face censorship and being labeled as dupes of “Putin/Russia/Kremlin.” Ukraine has passed a law criminalizing the [accurate] labeling of the OUN/B, Stephan Bandera, the UPA [OUN/B’s military wing] and its war criminal commander Roman Shukhevych as allies of Nazi Germany. At the same time, an “information warfare” unit of the Ukrainian state (headed by a sophisticated and worldly-wise) U.S. intelligence operative named Joel Harding is painting blogs, and outlets and personalities critical of the Maidan forces as tools of the Kremlin. Emblematic of this political/intellectual perversion is the anointing of a young female Nazi member of the Aidar “punisher battalion” as the “Joan of Arc” of Ukraine. Program highlights include: the Canada-based “Ukrainian Weekly“ ‘s propaganda offensive against cultural figures critical of the Ukrainian government; proposals for a neo-McCarthyism directed against critics of U.S. policy toward Ukraine, the granting of [Ukrainian] government pensions to surviving members of the UPA.

In the Nazi tract “Serpent’s Walk,” the SS go underground, build up their economic muscle, gain control of the opinion-forming media and, ultimately, take over the United States and the world, reversing political and historical reality. In the Baltic states (as in Ukraine), we are seeing just such a perversion of the political and historical record. In Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, veterans of the Waffen SS are succeeding in portraying themselves as “freedom fighters,” as well as casting the history of World War II in a Nazi ideological framework. Furthermore, they are imparting their ideological and operational wisdom to a younger generation of Nazis. All of this is occurring with the acquiescence of the EU, despite the fact that such activities are against that body’s laws. The program concludes with a look at the projection of World War II fascists into Lithuania by elements of U.S. intelligence during the conclusion of the Cold War, setting the stage for what is taking place now.

U.S. Troops to Train Azov Battalion; Pravy Sektor Chief to Join Ukrainian Army as Adviser

In a previous post, we noted that elements of the 173rd Airborne Brigade are to begin training of Ukraine’s national guard battalions,which include the Nazi Azov Battalion. Now comes confirmation that Azov will, indeed, be the recipient of training by the 173rd Airborne, beginning on April 20th [Hitler’s Birthday–D.E.]. In addition, Dmytro Yarosh, head of Pravy Sektor (one of the Nazi OUN/B heirs in Ukrainian power structure and government) will be an assistant to the army chief of staff, this to “control” the “punisher” battalions, including Azov.
