FTR#1190 The Oswald Institute of Virology, Part 9: Covid-19 and The American Deep State, Part 3
Continuing analysis of the propagation of the “Lab-Leak Theory” of the origin of Covid-19 in the context of what Mr. Emory calls “The Full-Court Press Against China,” this program highlights how what the brilliant Peter Dale Scott has termed “The American Deep State” is proceeding with the institutionalization of the anti-China effort, blaming that country for the Covid-19 pandemic, in particular.
After noting that the (primarily Pentagon and USAID-funded) EcoHealth Alliance cut-out has used Defense Department money to research organisms that can be used as biological-warfare weapons, we discuss Steve Bannon and Peter Thiel’s anti-Chinese chauvinism with regard to the Silicon Valley.
Even as liberal commentators lament the spread of anti-Asian racism, the genesis of the phenomenon is not hard to fathom.
Next, we review the institutionalization of the anti-China scare by Steve Bannon, utilizing allies like the Falun Gong cult and Uighur jihadis, now mainstays of the Full-Court Press strategy.
Although Bannon and company are now being diminished as “crackpots, xenophobes, extremists” etc., the policies they have initiated are now being carried forward by the “respectable” Biden administration.
” . . . . Fear of China has spread across the government, from the White House to Congress to federal agencies, where Beijing’s rise is unquestioningly viewed as an economic and national security threat and the defining challenge of the 21st century. . . .”
It is this continuity, that illustrates and embodies the functioning of the Deep State.
Returning to a very important (albeit heavily “spun”), modified limited hangout article from Vanity Fair article, we further develop the continuity between the “extremist” Trump administration and the “respectable” Biden administration.
Developed by Trump national security aide Mathew Pottinger and Mike Pompeo’s State Department, the Lab-Leak hypothesis was eclipsed by officials worried about exposure of the very Pentagon, USAID funding of bat-borne coronavirus research and gain-of-function manipulations at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and elsewhere in China.
As it gains momentum under the “respectable” Biden administration, the suppression of the Lab-Leak hypothesis is being spun as an attempt to avoid using that hypothesis as an extremist, chauvinist political cudgel. (This is ironic, because that is precisely what it is intended to be!)
Key aspects of the Vanity Fair article:
1.–Pompeo State Department officials pursuing the lab-leak hypothesis were told to cover it up lest it shed light on U.S. government funding of research at the “Oswald Institute of Virology!”: ” . . . . In one State Department meeting, officials seeking to demand transparency from the Chinese government say they were explicitly told by colleagues not to explore the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s gain-of-function research, because it would bring unwelcome attention to U.S. government funding of it. . . . .In an internal memo obtained by ‘Vanity Fair’, Thomas DiNanno, former acting assistant secretary of the State Department’s Bureau of Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance, wrote that. . . staff from two bureaus . . . ‘warned’ leaders within his bureau ‘not to pursue an investigation into the origin of COVID-19’ because it would ‘open a can of worms’ if it continued.’ . . . . As the group probed the lab-leak scenario, among other possibilities, its members were repeatedly advised not to open a ‘Pandora’s box,’ said four former State Department officials interviewed by ‘Vanity Fair’. . . .”
2.–The Vanity Fair article paints Trump, Bannon and company as loonies, whereas they were fundamental to the beginning of the full-court press against China: “. . . . At times, it seemed the only other people entertaining the lab-leak theory were crackpots or political hacks hoping to wield COVID-19 as a cudgel against China. President Donald Trump’s former political adviser Steve Bannon, for instance, joined forces with an exiled Chinese billionaire named Guo Wengui to fuel claims that China had developed the disease as a bioweapon and purposefully unleashed it on the world. . . .”
3.–Matthew Pottinger, a China hawk in the Trump administration, headed up a team to investigate the Wuhan lab leak hypothesis. Note that the gain-of-function milieu in the U.S. national security establishment was a retarding factor in the inquiry: ” . . . . By then, Matthew Pottinger had approved a COVID-19 origins team, run by the NSC directorate that oversaw issues related to weapons of mass destruction. A longtime Asia expert and former journalist, Pottinger purposefully kept the team small . . . . In addition, many leading experts had either received or approved funding for gain-of-function research. Their ‘conflicted’ status, said Pottinger, ‘played a profound role in muddying the waters and contaminating the shot at having an impartial inquiry.’ . . . .”
4.–Note that Lawrence Livermore scientists were involved with the genesis of the “China did it” hypothesis, after allegedly being alerted by a foreign source to look into their own files. ” . . . . An intelligence analyst working with David Asher sifted through classified channels and turned up a report that outlined why the lab-leak hypothesis was plausible. It had been written in May by researchers at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, which performs national security research for the Department of Energy. But it appeared to have been buried within the classified collections system. . . .”
5.–Note, also, that Chris Ford, a China hawk, was working to suppress the Wuhan lab leak hypothesis: ” . . . . Their frustration crested in December, when they finally briefed Chris Ford, acting undersecretary for Arms Control and International Security. He seemed so hostile to their probe that they viewed him as a blinkered functionary bent on whitewashing China’s malfeasance. But Ford, who had years of experience in nuclear nonproliferation, had long been a China hawk. . . .”
6.–Ford spins his obfuscation of the “Oswald Institute of Virology” link to the U.S. as not wanting to reinforce right-wing crackpots within the Trump administration: ” . . . . Ford told ‘Vanity Fair’ that he saw his job as protecting the integrity of any inquiry into COVID-19’s origins that fell under his purview. Going with ‘stuff that makes us look like the crackpot brigade’ would backfire, he believed. There was another reason for his hostility. He’d already heard about the investigation from interagency colleagues, rather than from the team itself, and the secrecy left him with a ‘spidey sense’ that the process was a form of ‘creepy freelancing.’ He wondered: Had someone launched an unaccountable investigation with the goal of achieving a desired result? . . . .”
7.–The “China did it/Wuhan lab leak” hypothesis survived from the Trump administration and Mike Pompeo’s State Department to the Biden administration: ” . . . .The statement withstood ‘aggressive suspicion,’ as one former State Department official said, and the Biden administration has not walked it back. ‘I was very pleased to see Pompeo’s statement come through,’ said Chris Ford, who personally signed off on a draft of the fact sheet before leaving the State Department. ‘I was so relieved that they were using real reporting that had been vetted and cleared.’ . . . .”
8.–Avril Haines, whom we have cited in this series as a key participant in the Deep State shepherding of the “Lab-Leak Hypothesis,” looms large in the inquiry into the perpetuation of this propaganda meme: ” . . . . Inside the U.S. government, meanwhile, the lab-leak hypothesis had survived the transition from Trump to Biden. On April 15, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines told the House Intelligence Committee that two ‘plausible theories’ were being weighed: a lab accident or natural emergence. . . .”
In what may be shaping up to be a disturbing reprise of Philip Zelikow’s role in the events surrounding the 9/11 attacks and the resulting invasion of Iraq, Zelikow is positioned to preside over a commission to “investigate” the Covid-19 pandemic, ” . . . . an examination of the origins of the virus—including the contentious ‘lab leak’ theory. . . .”
We note that:
1.–The financial backers of the project include: ” . . . . Schmidt Futures, founded by Mr. Schmidt and his wife Wendy; Stand Together, which is backed by the libertarian-leaning philanthropist Charles Koch; the Skoll Foundation, founded by the eBay pioneer Jeff Skoll; and the Rockefeller Foundation. . . .”
2.–Former CIA and State Department chief under Trump Mike Pompeo is a protege of the Koch brothers.
3.–Zelikow’s 9/11 Commission presided over significant oversights and omissions: ” . . . . There is now evidence, much of it systematically suppressed by the 9/11 Commission, that before 9/11, CIA officers Richard Blee and Tom Wilshire inside the CIA’s Bin Laden Unit along with FBI agents such as Dina Corsi, were protecting from investigation and arrest two of the eventual alleged hijackers on 9/11, Khalid al-Midhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi—much as the FBI had protected Ali Mohamed from arrest in 1993. . . .”
4.–PNAC (The Project for a New American Century) called for Rebuilding America’s Defenses: ” . . . . ‘The process of transformation,’ it reported, “even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event—like a new Pearl Harbor.’ This was only one instance of a widely accepted truism: that it would take something like a Pearl Harbor to get America to accept an aggressive war. So the question to be asked is whether Cheney, Rumsfeld, or any others whose projects depended on ‘a new Pearl Harbor’ were participants in helping to create one. . . .”
5.–Zelikow helped draft the 2002 document that concretized the PNAC strategic goals: ” . . . . In 2002, the PNAC goals of unchallenged military dominance, plus the right to launch preemptive strikes anywhere, were embodied in the new National Security Strategy of September 2002 (known as ‘NSS 2002’). (A key figure in drafting this document was Philip Zelikow, who later became the principal author of the 9/11 Commission Report.) . . . .”
6.–PNAC’s paper foreshadowed what we feel underlies the pandemic: ” . . . . In what is arguably the think tank’s most controversial document, titled ‘Rebuilding America’s Defenses,’ there are a few passages that openly discuss the utility of bioweapons, including the following sentences: ‘…combat likely will take place in new dimensions: in space, ‘cyber-space,’ and perhaps the world of microbes…advanced forms of biological warfare that can ‘target’ specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool.’ . . .”
7.–There are indications that the anthrax attacks that occurred in the same time period as the 9/11 attacks may well have been a provocation aimed at justifying the invasion of Iraq and spurring the development off biological weapons, as advocated in the PNAC document. Ft. Detrick insider Steven Hatfill was a suspect in the attack, although he appears to have worn “operational Teflon.” “. . . . Steven Hatfill was now looking to me like a suspect, or at least, as the F.B.I. would denote him eight months later, ‘a person of interest.’ When I lined up Hatfill’s known movements with the postmark locations of reported biothreats, those hoax anthrax attacks appeared to trail him like a vapor cloud. But in February 2002, shortly after I advanced his candidacy to my contact at F.B.I. headquarters, I was told that Mr. Hatfill had a good alibi. A month later, when I pressed the issue, I was told, ‘Look, Don, maybe you’re spending too much time on this.’ Good people in the Department of Defense, C.I.A., and State Department, not to mention Bill Patrick, had vouched for Hatfill. . . . In December 2001, Dr. Barbara Hatch Rosenberg, a noted bioweapons expert, delivered a paper contending that the perpetrator of the anthrax crimes was an American microbiologist whose training and possession of Ames-strain powder pointed to a government insider with experience in a U.S. military lab. . . . Hatfill at the time was building a mobile germ lab out of an old truck chassis, and after S.A.I.C. fired him he continued work on it using his own money. When the F.B.I. wanted to confiscate the mobile lab to test it for anthrax spores, the army resisted, moving the trailer to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where it was used to train Special Forces in preparation for the war on Iraq. The classes were taught by Steve Hatfill and Bill Patrick. . . . Meanwhile, friends of Fort Detrick were leaking to the press new pieces of disinformation indicating that the mailed anthrax probably came from Iraq. The leaks included false allegations that the Daschle anthrax included additives distinctive to the Iraqi arms program and that it had been dried using an atomizer spray dryer sold by Denmark to Iraq. . . .”
8.–Two key Democratic Senators were targeted by weapons-grade anthrax letters prior to changing their opposition to the Patriot Act: “. . . . We should not forget that the Patriot Act was only passed after lethal weapons-grade anthrax letters were mailed to two crucial Democratic Senators—Senators Daschle and Leahy—who had initially questioned the bill. After the anthrax letters, however, they withdrew their initial opposition. Someone—we still do not know who—must have planned those anthrax letters well in advance. We should not forget, either, that some government experts initially blamed those attacks on Iraq. . . .”
The “Lab Leak Theory” has been promulgated by Michael R. Gordon, who was instrumental in advancing the Saddam Hussein WMD connection which helped lay the propaganda foundation for the Iraq War.
Will the “Zelikow Pandemic Commission’s” treatment of the Lab-Leak Theory function in such a way as to pave the way for U.S. war with China, by focusing blame for the pandemic on what Mr. Emory has called “The Oswald Institute of Virology”?

FTR#1182 Terror, the Afghanistan War and The American Deep State, Part 2
The program begins with material overlapped from our previous program, delineating U.S. government protection of Jihadist elements, in order that they could be used as proxy warriors in ongoing covert operations.

With President Biden having announced the withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from Afghanistan, we contemplate the events that led to that involvement, especially terrorist incidents culminating in the 9/11 attack.
We rely on research done by the brilliant, venerable Peter Dale Scott.
We begin by noting how cynical the Deep State can be, acting with a complete disregard for American combat military personnel: ” . . . . Just how subordinated official policy could become to deep state needs was demonstrated in November 2001, when Cheney, at the request of [Pakistan’s head of state] Musharraf and the ISI [Pakistan’s primary intelligence service], approved secret airlifts to ferry surrounded Pakistani and high-level al-Qaeda fighters out of Afghanistan, to safety in Pakistan. . . .”

In Triple Cross, Peter Lance, who does not mention KSM’s escape from Qatar, focuses instead on the way that, later in the same year, U.S. federal prosecutors kept his name out of the trial of Ramzi Yousef in connection with the 1993 World Trade Center bombing: “Assistant U.S. Attorneys Mike Garcia and Dietrich Snell presented a riveting, evidence-driven case . . . and characterized the material retrieved from Ramzi’s Toshiba laptop as ‘the most devastating evidence of all. . . .’ . . . While Yousef’s laptop . . . contained the full details of the plot later executed on 9/11, not a word of that scenario was mentioned during trial . . . . Most surprising, during the entire summer-long trial, the name of the fourth Bojinka conspirator, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed . . . . was mentioned by name only once, in reference to a letter found in [Yousef’s apartment] . . . .”
Illustrating the machinations of what Professor Scott terms “The American Deep State” are the interactions between Big Oil, Sullivan & Cromwell, the Dulles brothers and the Eisenhower administration to destabilize the Mossadeq regime in Iran.

In a series of programs we are recording, we highlight the vital research of the brilliant, venerable Berkeley researcher Peter Dale Scott, who has chronicled the shocking behavior of elements of our government, covering up the involvement in terrorist incidents of individuals and institutions that, if properly pursued, could have prevented the 9/11 attacks–the event that precipitated our entry into that conflict. “. . . . In Triple Cross, Peter Lance, who does not mention [9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed’s] escape from Qatar, focuses instead on the way that, later in the same year, U.S. federal prosecutors kept his name out of the trial of Ramzi Yousef in connection with the 1993 World Trade Center bombing: ‘Assistant U.S. Attorneys Mike Garcia and Dietrich Snell presented a riveting, evidence-driven case . . . and characterized the material retrieved from Ramzi’s Toshiba laptop as ‘the most devastating evidence of all. . . .’ . . . While Yousef’s laptop . . . contained the full details of the plot later executed on 9/11, not a word of that scenario was mentioned during trial . . . . Most surprising, during the entire summer-long trial, the name of the fourth Bojinka conspirator, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed . . . . was mentioned by name only once, in reference to a letter found in [Yousef’s apartment] . . . .”
Representative, Crystallized Moment in the Afghan War
We have covered the debacle of U.S. policy in Afghanistan in FTR#‘s 678, 680, 683 and 685. High-ranking military officers expressed their dissatisfaction with Afghan policy in a “Washington Post” story. As Biden pivots from “Forever War,” as epitomized by the war in Afghanistan, to what may very well be World War III, in support of the OUN/B‑dominated national security apparatus of contemporary Ukraine, it is worth contemplating the stunning lack of regard the “Deep State” in this country has for its men and women in uniform. ” . . . . . . . . Just how subordinated official policy could become to deep state needs was demonstrated in November 2001, when Cheney, at the request of [Pakistan’s head of state] Musharraf and the ISI [Pakistan’s primary intelligence service], approved secret airlifts to ferry surrounded Pakistani and high-level al-Qaeda fighters out of Afghanistan, to safety in Pakistan. . . .”

The media in this and other countries have been dominated by a propaganda blitzkrieg alleging “genocide” being committed by China in its oil and mineral-rich Xinjiang province against the Turkophone, Muslim minority in that region.
This allegation is a well-documented political mythology, which has come to dominate the political and journalistic narrative in the U.S. because of media adherence to the pronouncements of a number of overlapping fascist organizations.
In addition to the dominance of coverage of Xinjiang by the German national Adrian Zenz, a fellow traveler of the OUN/B derivative Captive Nations Committee, the fascist mind control cult Falun Gong and elements that have evolved from the International Institute of Islamic Thought are deeply involved with U.S. intelligence cut-outs that have midwived the Uyghur “genocide myth.”
Pan-Turkist fascist elements in Xinjiang overlap Al-Qaeda affiliates.
An alleged U.N. report on the genocide stems from the allegations of the sole American member of a U.N. panel, who provided no corroborating evidence.
Key Points of Discussion and Analysis Include:
1.–” . . . . A spokesperson from the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) confirmed in a statement to The Grayzone that the allegation of Chinese ‘camps’ was not made by the United Nations, but rather by a member of an independent committee that does not speak for the UN as a whole. That member happened to be the only American on the committee, and one with no background of scholarship or research on China. . . .”
2.–” . . . . This is to say, one American member of an independent UN body made a provocative claim that China was interning 1 million Muslims, but failed to provide a single named source. And Reuters and the Western corporate media ran with it anyway, attributing the unsubstantiated allegations of one US individual to the UN as a whole. . . . ”
3.–” . . . . In addition to this irresponsible misreporting, Reuters and other Western outlets have attempted to fill in the gaps left by McDougall, referring to reports made by so-called “activist group” the Network of Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD). . . .”
4.–” . . . . However, tax documents uncovered by The Grayzone show that a significant portion of this group’s budget comes from the US government’s National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a CIA-linked soft-power group that was founded by the Ronald Reagan administration in the 1980s to push regime change against independent governments and support “free markets” around the world. . . .”
A “Gray Zone” piece from a couple of months ago about a major mainstream promotion of the genocide claims via a New York Times op-ed written by an American woman of Uyghur ancestry that more or less regurgitated the genocide claims of Adrian Zenz. The op-ed neglected mention that the author, Amelia Pang, was an employee of The Epoch Times from 2011–2016.
That paper is an organ of the Falun Gong cult.
The “Gray Zone” article does more than detail a major example of mainstream media catapulting this misinformation campaign.
The article underscores how the ‘concentration camp’ claims from the West suddenly erupted in 2017, after the Trump administration basically made a new Cold War with China a major foreign policy objective in keeping with Steve Bannon’s vision of a new Great Powers war.
Key Points of Discussion and Analysis Include:
1.–” . . . . The author of the New York Times op-ed, Amelia Pang, happens to be a former employee of the Epoch Times, a far-right propaganda arm of a fanatical anti-China cult called Falun Gong. . . .”

4.–” . . . . To make her case that the Chinese government was guilty of “genocide,” Pang misleadingly implied that the United Nations has accused China of the crime – a disinformation tactic that has become common in anti-China reporting in the Western media. But the UN has not done so. . . . ”
5.–” . . . . As Ajit Singh and Max Blumenthal reported for The Grayzone, Zenz’s estimate that ‘over 1 million’ Muslim minorities are held in ‘concentration camps’ in Xinjiang was based on a lone report by Istiqlal TV, an Islamist media outlet run by Uyghur separatists based in Turkey. The outlet provides a friendly platform for extremist supporters of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), a separatist group that seeks to build an Islamic state in Xinjiang, which it calls East Turkestan. ...”
6.–” . . . . ETIM, also known as the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), is an al-Qaeda-linked extremist militia that has carried out numerous terrorist attacks in Xinjiang. ETIM, also known as the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), is an al-Qaeda-linked extremist militia that has carried out numerous terrorist attacks in Xinjiang. It is recognized as a terrorist organization by the United Nations, European Union, and many countries. Pompeo’s State Department removed ETIM from the US government’s official terrorist list in October 2020, as part of Washington’s intensifying cold war on China. . . .”
7.–” . . . . The photo Pang referenced has been heavily circulated by Western media outlets and NGOs, and is upheld as practically the only image proving the existence of ‘concentration camps’ run by Beijing. This characterization is however deeply misleading. The photo was not taken by some courageous prisoner or crusading investigative journalist; it was published by the Chinese government itself, in a press release from 2014 — three years before the State Department claimed the ‘genocide’ began in Xinjiang. In fact, the original image was published on the Xinjiang Bureau of Justice’s own WeChat account, with a watermark identifying it as an official photo taken by Chinese authorities. Western anti-China propagandists have subsequently cropped off the watermark and presented the photo as proof of China caught in the act. . . .”

At the top of her personal website, Amelia Pang advertises her book, ‘Made in China: A Prisoner, an SOS Letter, and the Hidden Cost of America’s Cheap Goods,’ which is due in February 2021. The book’s homepage highlights a blurb written by Orville Schell . . . . Schell also has an eyebrow-raising record of work at the Ford Foundation, a CIA cut-out, in Indonesia from 1964 to 1966, at precisely the time when the country’s US-backed military dictatorship was enacting an actual genocide. With help from the CIA, Indonesia’s dictator Suharto murdered between 1 and 3 million communists, left-wing sympathizers, labor organizers, and ethnic Chinese people, in what the CIA privately admitted was ‘one of the worst mass murders of the 20th century,’ alongside the Nazi Holocaust. . . .”
Anti-Asian racism is very much at the forefront of public consciousness at the moment. It would be disingenuous for anyone to claim that the phenomenon was unrelated to the full-court press against China.
Exemplifying that racism is a member of the Pan-Turkist fascist MHP party, which is front and center in the anti-Uighur destabilization effort and the propagation of the “genocide” myth. (We have discussed Pan-Turkist fascism in–among other programs–AFA #14 and FTR #59.)
“. . . . . In 2015, members of the MHP-affiliated Grey Wolves formerly led by Alparslan Türkes attacked South Korean tourists in Turkey, mistaking them for Chinese citizens, in protest of the situation in Xinjiang. Turkish MHP party leader Devlet Bahçeli defended the attacks. ‘How are you going to differentiate between Korean and Chinese?’ the rightist politician questioned. ‘They both have slanted eyes. Does it really matter?’ . . . .”
Yet another incisive, courageous article about the myth of Uighur genocide was published by “The Grayzone” in March.
The vehicle for launching this propaganda is The Newlines Institute, a subsidiary element of Fairfax University of America.
The founder of Newlines Institute is Ahmed Alwani, Vice-President of the International Islamic Institute, one of the organizations raided by Treasury Department and FBI agents on 3/20/2002 for allegedly funding Al-Qaeda and other Muslim-Brotherhood linked terrorist groups.
Key Elements of Discussion and Analysis Include:
1.–” . . . . The report, published on March 8 by the Newlines Institute for Strategy and Policy, in collaboration with the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights, follows a last-minute accusation made in January by the outgoing Trump administration, along with similar declarations by the Dutch and Canadian Parliaments. It was published shortly after the release of a remarkably similar report on February 8 that was commissioned by the US government-backed World Uyghur Congress, and which alleged that there is a ‘credible case’ against the Chinese government for genocide. . . .”
2.–” . . . . Ahmed Alwani is the founder and president of the Newlines Institute. Alwani previously served on the advisory board for the U.S. military’s Africa Command (AFRICOM) and is the Vice President of the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT); his father, Taha Jabir Al-Alwani was one of IIIT’s founders. . . .”
3.–” . . . . Newlines’ report relies primarily on the dubious studies of Adrian Zenz, the US government propaganda outlet, Radio Free Asia, and claims made by the US-funded separatist network, the World Uyghur Congress. These three sources comprise more than one-third of the references used to construct the factual basis of the document, with Zenz as the most heavily relied upon source – cited on more than 50 occasions. Many of the remaining references cite the work of members of Newlines Institute’s Uyghur Scholars Working Group’, of which Zenz is a founding member and which is made up of a small group of academics who collaborate with him and support his conclusions. . . .”
4.–” . . . . The leadership of Newlines Institute includes former US State Department officials, US military advisors, intelligence professionals who previously worked for the “shadow CIA” private spying firm, Stratfor, and a collection of interventionist ideologues. . . .”
5.–” . . . . Just days before Newlines Institute’s report on China was released, its FXUA’s accreditation was once again in potential jeopardy. On March 5, an advisory board to the US Department of Education recommended terminating recognition for ACICS. The National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity voted 11-to‑1 to recommend that ACICS lose the federal recognition it needs to operate. The advisory committee made the same recommendation in 2016, leading to the ACICS’s recognition being revoked under the Obama administration, before recognition was restored to the troubled accreditor in 2018 by then-President Trump’s Secretary of Education, the infamous privatization activist and oligarch Betsy Devos. . . .”
6.–” . . . . Newlines Institute published its report in collaboration with The Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights. The report’s principal author, Yonah Diamond, is legal counsel for The Wallenberg Center, and many of the report’s signatories hold affiliations with the organization. . . .”
7.–” . . . . The Wallenberg Centre has become a haven for anti-China hawks, including Senior Fellows David Kilgour, former Canadian Secretary of State, and David Matas. . . . Kilgour and Matas have extensive ties to the far-right, anti-China religious cult Falun Gong. Both men are regularly contributors to the group’s propaganda arm, The Epoch Times, a media network that The New York Times has described as an ‘anti-China, pro-Trump media empire’ and ‘leading purveyor of right-wing misinformation’. . . . ”
The program concludes with discussion of the Wallenberg family, one of Sweden’s most prominent industrial clans and inextricably linked with both the international cartel system, the Third Reich and–as we see below–the remarkable and deadly Bormann flight capital organization.
The Wallenbergs were centrally involved in numerous cloaking operations for Nazi big business, and also had strong links to the Allied industrial firms undertaking war production.

Exemplifying the family’s position in the Wall Street/cartel pantheon is George Murnane of the Wallenberg holding company A.B. Investor: ” . . . . In November 1940, a voting trust agreement was set up in the United States under which George Murnane was designated by the Wallenbergs’ Enskilda Bank as the sole voting trustee with complete power to vote the American Bosch stock at stockholders’ meetings in the United States. The voting trust arrangement provided that if George Murnane should die, his successor should be named by John Foster Dulles, senior partner of Sullivan & Cromwell, the law firm which represents the Wallenbergs and the Enskilda Bank in the United States. . . .”
One of the most significant of the Wallenbergs’ operations concerned its global monopoly on ball bearings and its shipment of Swedish bearings to offset Nazi Germany’s losses in the costly Schweinfurt raids.
” . . . . It happened that two thirds of Germany’s entire bearing industry was concentrated in a single group of four factories at Schweinfurt. Three of them, accounting for 36 per cent of Germany’s productive capacity, were owned by VKF; and one, accounting for 30 per cent of German capacity, was owned by the only remaining large independent, Fischer A.G.
When American air forces bombed Schweinfurt during the war, in an effort to knock out this strategic point in German industrial production, Schweinfurt was discovered to be one of the most heavily defended spots in Germany. German defenses inflicted a loss of fifty American heavy bombers in one raid alone. When these raids temporarily knocked out Schweinfurt, the effect was largely nullified by shipments of bearings from SKF in Sweden. . . .”
It is this heritage that underlies the Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights.
FTR#1176 Miscellaneous Articles and Updates
As the title indicates, this broadcast updates old subjects of inquiry and introduces new stories.
Continuing reflections on the “Capitol Riot” of 1/6/2021, the program reviews and fleshes out Nazi links to the 9/11 attacks, this in the context of George W. Bush’s rhapsodizing about the “peaceful transfer of power” in this country.
We call attention to a number of things:
1.–What happened in Washington D.C. on 1/6/2021 was not fundamentally different from the “Brooks Brothers Riot” in Florida that aided the theft of the 2000 election. Organized by Trump flak catcher Roger Stone, that incident and the efforts of current Supreme Court Justices John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett saw to it that Shrub would inherit his father’s Presidential mantle.
2.–In the wake of the Capitol Riot, the “Opining Heads” raised the subject of the Turner Diaries and its foreshadowing of fascist violence. In 1998, the author of that tome,–William Luther Pierce–explicitly foreshadowed the 9/11 attacks which defined and cemented Dubya’s administration. “ . . . . In one chilling commentary Pierce, (after noting that Bin Laden and the rest of the lost generation of angry Moslem youth had it with their parents’ compromises and were hell bent on revenge against infidel America) issued this stark, prophetic warning in a 1998 radio address titled, ‘Stay Out of Tall Buildings.’ ‘New Yorkers who work in tall office buildings anything close to the size of the World Trade Center might consider wearing hard hats . . .’ Pierce warned.’ . . . The running theme in Pierce’s commentaries is—to paraphrase his hero Hitler—that Osama Bin Laden’s warning to America is ‘I Am Coming.’ And so is bio-terrorism.’ . . .”
3.– In (among other programs) FTR #186–the last program recorded in 1999–Mr. Emory noted that George W. Bush’s first business venture–Arbusto Energy–was capitalized by the family of Osama Bin Laden.
4.–Also in FTR #456, we also noted that Francois Genoud was a key financial adviser to the Bin Laden family. One of the most important figures in the Nazi diaspora, Genoud was the heir to the collected works and political last will and testament of: Adolf Hitler, Joseph Goebbels and Martin Bormann. “ . . . . According to [financial expert Ernest] Backes’ information, the trail leads to Switzerland, to the accounts of an organization that was founded by the late lawyer Francois Genoud and evidently still survives. Says Backes, ‘One of the grounds for accusation is that this Swiss attorney had the closest connections with the Bin Laden family, that he was an advisor to the family, one of its investment bankers. It’s known for certain, that he supported terrorism and was the estate executor for Hitler and part of the terror milieu.’ . . .”
5.–The Bank Al-Taqwa had an account for Al Qaeda’s operations with an unlimited line of credit. Also in FTR#456, we noted that Al Taqwa chief (and former Nazi intelligence agent) Youssef Nada helped the Grand Mufti escape from Europe in the aftermath of World War II. “ . . . . Another valued World War II Nazi collaborator was Youssef Nada, current board chairman of al-Taqwa (Nada Management), the Lugano, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Bahamas-based financial services outfit accused by the US Treasury Department of money laundering for and financing of Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda. As a young man, he had joined the armed branch of the secret apparatus’ (al-jihaz al-sirri) of the Muslim Brotherhood and then was recruited by German military intelligence. When Grand Mufti el-Husseini had to flee Germany in 1945 as the Nazi defeat loomed, Nada reportedly was instrumental in arranging the escape via Switzerland back to Egypt and eventually Palestine, where el-Husseini resurfaced in 1946.) . . . .”
6.–The San Francisco Chronicle reported that: “ . . . . Authorities believe Genoud founded Al Taqwa Bank and allocated its resources to support international terrorists such as Vladimir Ilich Ramirez, alias Carlos the Jackal, and Bin Laden. . . . .”
7.–One of the most important elements in the investigative trail leading to and from the 9/11 attacks is SICO–the Swiss-based holding company that manages the Bin Laden family interests. Here, too, we see the influence of Genoud: “ . . . . This company, established by the bin Ladens in 1980, is the flagship for the group’s activities in Europe. It is headed by Yeslam bin Laden, and the board of directors is made up almost exclusively of members of the family clan, except for a Swiss citizen, Baudoin Dunand. This well-known lawyer from French-speaking Switzerland, who is on the boards of several dozen companies, came to public notice in 1983 when he agreed to represent the Swiss banker Francois Genoud, a controversial figure who had been a disciple of Hitler . . . .”
Another of the crocodiles shedding tears in the aftermath of the Capitol Riot was Arnold Schwarzenegger, who compared the events of 1/6/2021 to Kristallnacht. In FTR #492, we detailed Schwarzenegger’s links to William Armstead Robinson, who may well be a political/financial cat’s paw for the deadly Bormann network.
Next, we note that Merrick Garland has been confirmed as Attorney General. Previously, he had been the federal prosecutor in the Oklahoma City Bombing. Numerous evidentiary tributaries were not investigated–those evidentiary elements led in the direction of a much wider conspiracy.
Garland failed to investigate profound links between the Oklahoma City Bombing, the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing and the 9/11 attacks.
Garland also failed to pursue the apparent role of Andreas Strassmeier in the bombing.
9/11 Attacks’ Links to OKC Bombing detailed in FTR#456 Include:
1.–A motel at which witnesses saw Timothy McVeigh in the company of a number of Middle Eastern men/Arabs, including Mohamed Atta and “20th hijacker” Zaccharias Moussaoui. Moussaoui was represented by Jacques Verges, a protege of Francois Genoud (see above).
2.–Andreas Strassmeier’s apparent pursuit of a Lufthansa surplus Boing 747.
3.–Philippine intelligence agent Edwin Angeles’ report of a meeting in the Philippines involving Ramzi Youssef (mastermind of the first attack on the World Trade Center.
Next, we noted the refusal of Ukraine to extradite an accused murderer, who had fought with Pravy Sektor (Right Sector) in Ukraine.
Another outcropping of Ukrainian fascism is manifesting in the full-court propaganda press against China. Adrian Zenz has become the “Go-To” source for U.S. political and media figures on the political fantasy of Chinese “genocide” against the Uighurs.
The military coup in Myanmar has been widely reported on, however there has been little discussion of the possible effect of the coup on China, which borders that benighted nation and has partnered with the deposed civilian government on economic projects.
We conclude with analysis of the Japanese fascist cult Happy Science, and their reinforcement of official Japanese historical revisionism.
FTR #1174 Harvest Time, Part 1
The title refers to the U.S. and its citizens harvesting the crops risen from deadly seeds sown for decades. The Capitol Riot was one of those.
It is to the U.S. as the Beerhall Putsch of 1923 was to Germany–a harbinger of things to come.
The program begins with discussion of Richard Hofstadter, whose theories have been bruited about in the wake of the Capitol Riot. An icon of the mainstream media and the so-called progressive sector, Hofstadter’s work was underwritten by the CIA.
In the context of Hofstadter’s work being underwritten by CIA, one of the factors allowing the seeds of evil to grow has been the government financing of much of U.S. political life.
Intellectual curiosity has been dampened by financial gain.
The armed confrontation in the Capitol reminded us of a confrontation that took place in Parkland Hospital on 11/22/1963.
A contingent of Secret Service agents and Kennedy aide Kenneth O’Donnell confronted and threatened Parkland physicians who were going to autopsy President Kennedy’s body in accordance with law.
(Author Joseph McBride presents convincing evidence that O’Donnell faced probable indictment for corruption. He helped arrange the Kennedy motorcade route through Dealey Plaza, setting JFK up for assassination. O’Donnell succumbed to alcoholism, dying in 1977.)

Unnamed officials in NATO countries have opined that the events of 1/6/2021 were a coup attempt by Trump’s forces.
In addition, there is an ongoing investigation of an active duty PSYOP officer who operated under the Special Forces command structure for leading a contingent of 100 strong to the “rally” on 1/6/2021.

Notable among the crocodiles shedding tears over the Capitol Riot was former President George W. Bush. Condemning the riot in one breath, he intoned that he would be attending the inauguration and that “ . . . . witnessing the peaceful transfer of power is a hallmark of our democracy that never gets old,’ he added. . . .”

Retrospective on Daniel Pearl Murder
Earlier this month, The New York Times editorialized about the release from custody of Daniel Pearl’s murderers, including Omar Sheikh. Sadly, but predictably, missing from that editorial, as with other stories in The Gray Lady dealing with 9/11 and its aftermath, is discussion of the profound Nazi connections to that signature event. In FTR #456, we noted that Omar Sheikh could quote entire pages of “Mein Kampf” from memory.
