In the ongoing series about the Ukraine War, Mr. Emory has put forth a metaphor: the war itself and the attendant coverage as a “philosopher’s stone” alchemically changing American and Western institutions and individuals into the same political and intellectual fabric of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.
That institution is an epicenter of Orwellian historical revisionism, rewriting the World War II history of Ukraine in such a way as to whitewash the war crimes of the OUN and UPA. Bandera headed up the OUN/B, the principal Third Reich collaborator during World War II.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi exemplifies that grim political alchemy.
Prior to a video appearance by Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky, she greeted Zelensky with the OUN/B salute–which is now the official salute of both the Ukrainian military and police establishments.
” . . . . House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday, greet Mr. Zelensky with ‘Slava Ukraini!,’—‘Glory to Ukraine’—a greeting used by Bandera’s troops. . . .”
Since the Maidan coup in 2014, we have rigorously chronicled the decisive involvement in that event of the Ukrainian fascist milieu that ascended to the pinnacle of power in that benighted country.
The Nazi collaborationist nature of the regime in power in Ukraine is being systematically whitewashed.
Reflecting on the sheer volume of documentation we have presented about the ascent of the OUN/B Nazis collaborators, we present a couple of snapshots from those archives.
First, we note that Andriy Parubiy–founder of the Social National Party of Ukraine (later re-named Svcoboda)–was one of the organizers of the so-called “Orange Revolution” that brought to power Viktor Yuschenko (and his wife, U.C.C.A. operative and Deputy Director of Public Liaison under R0nald Reagan).
His role as “Commander of Maidan” placed him in close contact with then U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt. Then Vice-President Joe Biden was networked with Pyatt at the time. Parubiy has been accused of helping to arrange the sniper fire that killed both protesters and police, leading to the ouster of Yanukovych.
” . . . . Parubiy was going in and out of Hotel Ukraina, from where numerous deadly shots were being fired. . . . Parubiy, who, according to former US Vice President Joe Biden, was conferring with the US Ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt throughout the upheavals almost on an hourly basis, has never really had his role in the putsch explained. . . .”
Yuschenko elevated Volodymyr Viatrovych to power, eventually becoming head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.
On the subject of propaganda and information war in Ukraine, we note that Zelensky is the point man of that information war and that he is a protege of key Azov financier Igor Kolomoisky.
“Azov” Zelensky is the point element in a—thus far—eminently successful information war. The dimension and success of the propaganda crafted and disseminated OUN/B successor elements in charge of Ukraine’s governmental machinery would make Goebbels proud.
Consummately ironic is the meme resoundingly echoed in this country that PUTIN is waging an information war of lies!
The derisive dismissal of Russian claims concerning animal vectors positioned in Ukraine to deliver biological weapons into Russia ignore critical information.
In addition to the fact that we have developed exhaustive documentation of U.S. authorship of the Covid-19, indicative of a U.S. willingness to employ biological warfare in pursuit of its strategic objectives, Nick Turse chronicled the development of mammalian, reptilian, aquatic and insect life forms as adjuncts to warfare.
This book was published in 2008!
As discussed in FTR#1235, documents removed by the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine–but archived by the Wayback Machine–confirm that the DTRA is among the sources of funding for DOD-financed labs in Ukraine.
We note that there are significant connections between the agency overseeing the Ukrainian projects and institutions implicated in the apparent “bio-skullduggery” surrounding the U.S. biological warfare gambit involving what Mr. Emory has termed “The Oswald Institute of Virology.” This is discussed in: FTR#‘s 1157–1159, 1170, 1183 through 1193, and 1215.
The essence of the “Oswald Institute of Virology” gambit concerns the DTRA and Pentagon funding of bat-borne coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, much of it through Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance. Once the research was complete, it resulted in publication which included the genome of the bat viruses being researched. Using technology discussed below, the viruses were then synthesized from scratch and population groups were vectored with the same viral strains being researched by the WIV.
One must ask the question, also, as to why the Embassy suddenly removed these documents?
A critical understanding of the virulent, overwhelming lying in which the Ukrainian government is engaging can be gleaned from Mariupol. That city is in control of the Nazi Azov regiment, who control the flow of information from the besieged metropolis.
With Zelensky—a protégé of major Azov financier Igor Kolomoisky—parroting the Nazi formation’s rhetoric and being uncritically accepted by Ukraine’s, it can be said that the West, Biden’s USA in particular, belongs to the lie.
The pronouncements coming out of Mariupol should be understood in the circumstantial context of the fact that all of the international reporters are out of the city.
In addition, the fact that reportage reaching the West has been buttressed by hand-picked advocates of the Zelensky regime should be factored into analysis of the credibility of the battlefield reportage reaching the U.S.
An excellent piece of reporting by Max Blumenthal for the Gray Zone. Noting “Azov” Zelensky’s hyperbole about the “Russian bombing” of the drama theater in Mariupol—Blumenthal reports on local residents’ voluminous accounts of an Azov provocation. Far from being “indiscriminately” bombed by the Russians, Azov appears to have planted and detonated explosive charges, destroying the theater.
Note that the Ukrainian charge of Russia attacking a Turkish mosque was Azov/Zelensky propaganda as well.
Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of this disinformation is the apparent attempt by “Team Azov” to draw the U.S. and NATO into direct conflict with Russia by creating imaginary atrocities, which—thus far—have been uncritically accepted by the West.

Since the Maidan coup in 2014, we have rigorously chronicled the decisive involvement in that event of the Ukrainian fascist milieu that ascended to the pinnacle of power in that benighted country. Ukrainian fascist Andriy Parubiy was the security director of the Maidan demonstrations, an interesting strategic position: ” . . . . This program continues analysis of the Ukraine war. The title of this series comes from Mort Sahl, who voiced the question in his autobiography.
Charges and counter-charges in the ongoing Ukraine war surround Pentagon-financed “veterinary” and other biological laboratories in Ukraine.
We note that there are significant connections between the agency overseeing the Ukrainian projects and institutions implicated in the apparent “bio-skullduggery” surrounding the U.S. biological warfare gambit involving what Mr. Emory has termed “The Oswald Institute of Virology.” This is discussed in: FTR#‘s 1170, 1183 through 1193, and 1215.
Just as Lee Harvey Oswald was set up to look like a communist before being framed for JFK’s murder, so, too the “Oswald Institute of Virology” was set up to take the blame for the coronavirus pandemic.
Essential background information to evaluate the debate:
1.–The alleged difference between “offensive” and “defensive” biological warfare research is academic: If one if researching how “wee beasties” infect, sicken and/or kill plants, animals or humans, it is the same research, whatever terminology one uses.
2.–Contemporary technology makes it possible to synthesize deadly pathogens from scratch: ” . . . . Advances in the area mean that scientists now have the capability to recreate dangerous viruses from scratch; make harmful bacteria more deadly; and modify common microbes so that they churn out lethal toxins once they enter the body. Today, the genetic code of almost any mammalian virus can be found online and synthesised. ‘The technology to do this is available now,’ said [Michael] Imperiale. ‘It requires some expertise, but it’s something that’s relatively easy to do, and that is why it tops the list.’ . . .”
3.–The essential parameters of the fact finding: ” . . . . So do bio labs exist inside Ukraine, and is the US supporting them? Yes, and yes. Ukraine does operate biological laboratories which receive US funding. . . .”
4.–” . . . . Do the Ukraine laboratories store dangerous biological agents? Yes, it appears so. [!] As part of their work researching diseases the bio labs do seem to hold dangerous pathogens. . . .”
The debate centers on U.S. Pentagon-financed laboratories in Ukraine. Note that the laboratories are described as “veterinary laboratories”–the Pentagon is in the business of war-fighting, which essentially consists of killing people and destroying property. They are not in the business of taking care of puppy dogs and kitty cats. Veterinarians are viewed as optimum for biological warfare work, because they do not have to take the Hippocratic Oath.
Key considerations in the controversy:
1.–” . . . . [Robert Pope, the director of the Pentagon’s Cooperative Threat Reduction Program] noted that some of the facilities may contain pathogens once used for Soviet-era bioweapons programs, but he emphasized that the Ukrainian labs currently did not have the ability to manufacture bioweapons. . . . In a March interview with the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists . . . . He spoke specifically about the Pentagon’s support of 14 veterinary laboratories that provide Ukraine with sampling and diagnostic abilities to detect infectious diseases. . . .”
2.–The Pentagon’s Cooperative Threat Reduction Program is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. the former was involved in researching bats and deadly pathogens: ” . . . . the U.S. military — specifically the Department of Defense’s Cooperative Threat Reduction Program — began funding research involving bats and deadly pathogens, including the coronaviruses MERS and SARS, a year prior in 2017. . . .”
3.–Peter Daszak–of Ukrainian heritage–heads the EcoHealth Alliance, the largest military contractor receiving funds from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency: ” . . . . Meticulous investigation of U.S. government databases reveals that Pentagon funding for the EcoHealth Alliance from 2013 to 2020, including contracts, grants and subcontracts, was just under $39 million. Most, $34.6 million, was from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), which is a branch of the DOD which states it is tasked to ‘counter and deter weapons of mass destruction and improvised threat networks.’. . .”
4.–Further review of Shi’s research funding [at the Wuhan Institute of Virology] from the Pentagon, via EcoHealth Alliance: ” . . . . Shi Zhengli and her collaborators are also funded by the U.S. military. Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance currently receives more money from the Department of Defense’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) for Scientific Research Combatting Weapons of Mass Destruction than any other military contractor—$15 million (25.575 percent) of the $60.2 million dispersed in the last 6 months. . . .”
5.–The DTRA funding of bat-borne coronovirus research at WIV gains further gravitas: “. . . . A Google Scholar search produced two papers Shi has published that lists DTRA as a funder. To see how the first paper, ‘Comparative Analysis of Bat Genomes Provides Insight into the Evolution of Flight and Immunity,’ is relevant to biological weaponry, it helps to understand the military’s interest in bat immunity. . . .”
Documents removed by the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine–but archived by the Wayback Machine–confirm that the DTRA is among the sources of funding for DOD-funded labs in Ukraine. Note, too, the fact that many of these labs are “veterinary” labs. Veterinarians are highly-regarded for biological warfare recruitment, because they do not have to sign the Hippocratic Oath.
One must ask the question, also, as to why the Embassy suddenly removed these documents?
The West–in this case a highly-placed Colonel in the UK’s CBW establishment–are echoing the verbiage about Russian “false-flag” possibilities.
In light of the West’s false flag operations in the last ten years, that should alert us to the possibility of Russia being set up for a Ukraine/U.S. biological warfare false-flag.
The overall theme of the programs to be presented in this long series is captured in an observation made by Glenn Pinchback.
In 1961, the Joint Chiefs were pushing for a first strike on the Soviet Union–a decision to initiate nuclear war. JFK refused, walking out of the discussion with the disgusted observation that “We call ourselves the human race.”
In FTR #‘s 876, 926 and 1051, we examined the creation of the meme that Oswald had been networking with the Cubans and Soviets in the run-up to the assassination. In particular, Oswald was supposedly meeting with Valery Kostikov, a KGB official in charge of assassinations in the Western Hemisphere.
This created the pretext for blaming JFK’s assassination on the Soviet Union and/or Cuba. There are indications that JFK’s assassination may well have been intended as a pretext for a nuclear first strike on the Soviet Union.
This program continues our coverage of the Ukraine War, embodied by the quote from Mort Sahl that is the title of this series.
We begin with an article which embodies Mr. Emory’s analysis of the war and its attendant coverage as a “philosopher’s stone,” effecting an alchemical transformation of the U.S., the West in general and most of the people and institutions in them into what might be called “the embodiment of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.”
Golinkin penned an op-ed piece for The New York Times in which he mentioned none of what he spoke about three years ago. Instead, he repeated anti-Soviet and/or anti-Russian material which is practically institutionalized at this point.
At the end of his Nation piece, Golinkin gave voice to a very important insight: ” . . . . By tolerating neo-Nazi gangs and battalions, state-led Holocaust distortion, and attacks on LGBT and the Roma, the United States is telling the rest of Europe: ‘We’re fine with this.’ The implications—especially at a time of a global far-right revival—are profoundly disturbing. . . .”
Note also, that the Ukraine Institute of National Memory has designated the members of the SS Galician Division (pictured at right, below, as victims: ” . . . . The recuperation even extends to SS Galichina, a Ukrainian division of the Waffen-SS; the director of the Institute of National Memory proclaimed that the SS fighters were ‘war victims.’. . . .”
Oleh Tihanybok, leader of the OUN/B successor organization Svoboda.
Points of analysis and discussion in Golinkin’s older work include:
* The elevation of the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion that was formally incorporated into Ukraine’s armed forces yet remains a neo-Nazi battalion.
* Azov is now engaged in policing with its National Druzhina street patrol units that have engaged in anti-Roma pogroms.
* Azov’s campaign to turn Ukraine into an international hub of white supremacy.
* Andriy Parubiy’s role in creating Ukraine’s Nazi Party that he continues to embrace and that’s routinely ignored as he has become the parliament speaker.
* The deputy minister of the Interior—which controls the National Police—is a veteran of Azov, Vadim Troyan.
* Government sponsorship of historical revisionism and holocaust denial though agencies like Ukrainian Institute of National Memory. It is now illegal to speak unfavorably of the OUN/B or the UPA, both of which were Nazi collaborationist organizations with bloody, lethal histories.
* Torchlight parades are now normal.
* Within several years, an entire generation will be indoctrinated to worship Holocaust perpetrators as national heroes.
* Books that criticize the now-glorified WWII Nazi collaborators like Stepan Bandera are getting banned.
* Public officials make threats against Ukraine’s Jewish community with no repercussions.
* The neo-Nazi C14’s street patrol gangs are both responsible for anti-Roma pogroms and also the recipient of government funds to run a children’s educational camp. Last October, C14 leader Serhiy Bondar was welcomed at America House Kyiv, a center run by the US government.
* It’s open season on the LGBT community and far right groups routinely attack LGBT gatherings.
* Ukraine is extremely dangerous for journalists and the government has supported the doxxing and intimidation of journalist by the far right like Myrovorets group.
* The government is trying to repeal laws protecting the many minority languages used in Ukraine.
And yet, as the article notes at the end, its many examples were just a small sampling of what has transpired in Ukraine since 2014:
This program continues our coverage of the Ukraine War.
We begin by highlighting a full-page ad in the New York Times, attacking Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
“Nobel Laureates Support Ukraine;” Full Page Ad in The New York Times; 3/10/2022; p. A7 [Western Edition]. The ad was paid for by the Ukrainian World Congress.
As noted in previous programs: ” . . . . In 1967, the World Congress of Free Ukrainians was founded in New York City by supporters of Andriy Melnyk. [The head of the OUN‑M, also allied with Nazi Germany.–D.E.] It was renamed the Ukrainian World Congress in 1993. In 2003, the Ukrainian World Congress was recognized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council as an NGO with special consultative status. It now appears as a sponsor of the Atlantic Council . . . . The continuity of institutional and individual trajectories from Second World War collaborationists to Cold War-era anti-communist organizations to contemporary conservative U.S. think tanks is significant for the ideological underpinnings of today’s Intermarium revival. . . .”
Mr. Emory takes note of a PBS Newshour interview with Artem Semenikhin of the neo-Nazi Svoboda party. Portraying him as an anti-Russian hero, the program does not note that the portrait of OUN/B leader Stephan Bandera is clearly visible in the background, despite the Zoom blurring effect.
Next, we tackle “Volodymyr Zelensky and the ‘Jewish Question.’ ” (This is a grim pun. “The Jewish Question” was the Third Reich’s euphemism for the impending “Final Solution” to “The Jewish Question.”)
The altogether valid Russian military goal of the invasion was “De-Nazification.” That justification has been attacked as a ruse by using Zelensky’s Jewish affiliation as a rebuttal.
In that regard we note:
1.–” . . . . Zelensky’s top financial backer, the Ukrainian Jewish oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, has been a key benefactor of the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion and other extremists militias. . . . Igor Kolomoisky, a Ukrainian energy baron of Jewish heritage, has been a top funder of Azov since it was formed in 2014. He has also bankrolled private militias like the Dnipro and Aidar Battalions, and has deployed them as a personal thug squad to protect his financial interests. . . .”
2.–” . . . . Though Zelensky made anti-corruption the signature issue of his campaign, the Pandora Papers exposed him and members of his inner circle stashing large payments from Kolomoisky in a shadowy web of offshore accounts. . . .”
3.–” . . . . They are the ultranationalist National Militia, street vigilantes with roots in the battle-tested Azov Battalion that emerged to defend Ukraine against Russia-backed separatists but was also accused of possible war crimes and neo-Nazi sympathies. Yet despite the controversy surrounding it, the National Militia was granted permission by the Central Election Commission to officially monitor Ukraine’s presidential election on March 31. . . .”
4.–” . . . . In March 2019, members of the Azov Battalion’s National Corps attacked the home of Viktor Medvedchuk, the leading opposition figure in Ukraine, accusing him of treason for his friendly relations with Vladimir Putin, the godfather of Medvedchuk’s daughter. Zelensky’s administration escalated the attack on Medvedchuk, shuttering several media outlets he controlled in February 2021 with the open approval of the U.S. State Department, and jailing the opposition leader for treason three months later. Zelensky justified his actions on the grounds that he needed to ‘fight against the danger of Russian aggression in the information arena.’ Next, in August 2020, Azov’s National Corps opened fire on a bus containing members of Medvedchuk’s party, Patriots for Life, wounding several with rubber-coated steel bullets. . . .”
5.–” . . . . According to one Greek resident in Mariupol recently interviewed by a Greek news station, ‘When you try to leave you run the risk of running into a patrol of the Ukrainian fascists, the Azov Battalion,’ he said, adding ‘they would kill me and are responsible for everything.’ Footage posted online appears to show uniformed members of a fascist Ukrainian militia in Mariupol violently pulling fleeing residents out of their vehicles at gunpoint. Other video filmed at checkpoints around Mariupol showed Azov fighters shooting and killing civilians attempting to flee. . . .”
Jewish identity is not relevant to the situation as the Bormann group’s business operations have included Jewish participants as a matter of strategic intent. In turn, this has given the Bormann organization considerable influence in Israel.
” . . . . I spoke with one Jewish businessman in Hartford, Connecticut. He had arrived there quite unknown several years before our conversation, but with Bormann money as his leverage. Today he is more than a millionaire, a quiet leader in the community with a certain share of his profits earmarked, as always, for his venture capital benefactors. This has taken place in many other instances across America and demonstrates how Bormann’s people operate in the contemporary commercial world, in contrast to the fanciful nonsense with which Nazis are described in so much ‘literature.’ So much emphasis is placed on select Jewish participation in Bormann companies that when Adolf Eichmann was seized and taken to Tel Aviv to stand trial, it produced a shock wave in the Jewish and German communities of Buenos Aires. . . .”
Next, we conclude with an article which embodies Mr. Emory’s analysis of the war and its attendant coverage as a “philosopher’s stone,” effecting an alchemical transformation of the U.S., the West in general and most of the people and institutions in them into what might be called “the embodiment of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.”

And yet, as the article notes at the end, its many examples were just a small sampling of what has transpired in Ukraine since 2014:
We continue our coverage of the war in Ukraine.
President Putin has been portrayed as a “madman” in the West. As we have seen, his stated war goal of “De-Nazification” is altogether relevant and valid.
The article below is summed up as follows: ” . . . . After a ‘New York Times’ reporter grossly distorted what Putin and Zelensky have said and done about nuclear weapons, Steven Starr corrects the record and deplores Western media, in general, for misinforming and leading the entire world in a dangerous direction. . . .”
His claim that Ukraine was seeking nuclear weapons also is substantive.
Mr. Emory has stated that he think that Putin fell into a well-laid trap, a European iteration of the Afghanistan gambit, in which Zbigniew Brzezinski lured the Soviet Union into invading Afghanistan, in order to give them their “Vietnam.” Together with the deliberate collapse of petroleum prices, that war helped topple the U.S.S.R.
(Ian Brzezinski, Zbigniew’s son, is a key member of the Atlantic Council–one of the major vehicles for the OUN/B milieu’s activities in the U.S.)
Key Points of Discussion and Analysis:
1.–One element of the baited trap was Ukraine moving to gain either “nukes or Nato membership. If, for the sake of argument, Ukraine became a member of NATO, then they could develop nukes with impunity, because a Russian attack would trigger World War Three. ” . . . . In other words, the Budapest Memorandum was expressly about Ukraine giving up its nukes and not becoming a nuclear weapon state in the future. Zelensky’s speech at Munich made it clear that Ukraine was moving to repudiate the Budapest Memorandum; Zelensky essentially stated that Ukraine must be made a member of NATO, otherwise it would acquire nuclear weapons. . . .”
2.–” . . . . So, when the leader of Ukraine essentially threatens to obtain nuclear weapons, this is most certainly considered to be an existential threat to Russia. That is why Putin focused on this during his speech preceding the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Sanger and The New York Times must discount a Ukrainian nuclear threat; they can get away with doing so because they have systematically omitted news pertaining to this for many years. . . .”
3.–There has been no more alarming development in the war than the Russian combat around Ukraine’s nuclear facilities. The significance of that combat comes into clear view in light of the following, which shows that this is not mere reckless behavior on the part of Russia. ” . . . . Ukraine has plenty of plutonium, which is commonly used to make nuclear weapons today; eight years ago Ukraine held more than 50 tons of plutonium in its spent fuel assemblies stored at its many nuclear power plants (probably considerably more today, as the reactors have continued to run and produce spent fuel). Once plutonium is reprocessed/separated from spent nuclear fuel, it becomes weapons usable. Putin noted that Ukraine already has missiles that could carry nuclear warheads, and they certainly have scientists capable of developing reprocessing facilities and building nuclear weapons. In his Feb. 21 televised address, Putin said Ukraine still has the infrastructure leftover from Soviet days to build a bomb. . . .”
4.–” . . . . ‘Ukraine has the nuclear technologies created back in the Soviet times and delivery vehicles for such weapons, including aircraft, as well as the Soviet-designed Tochka‑U precision tactical missiles with a range of over 100 kilometers.’ . . .”
5.–Another element of the baited trap was an apparent Ukrainian military buildup at the border of the breakaway provinces in the East. ” . . . . The New York Times, in its overall coverage, chose not to report that the Ukrainian forces had deployed half of its army, about 125,000 troops, to its border with Donbass by the beginning of 2022. . . .”
6.–Historical background to the secession bid: ” . . . . both the provinces of Donetsk and Lugansk in the Donbass region voted for independence from Ukraine in 2014 in resistance to a U.S.-backed coup that overthrew the elected president Viktor Yanukovych in February of that year. The independence vote came just eight days after neo-Nazis burned dozens of ethnic Russians alive in Odessa. To crush their bid for independence, the new U.S.-installed Ukrainian government then launched an “anti-terrorist” war against the provinces, with the assistance of the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, which had taken part in the coup. It is a war that is still going on eight years later, a war that Russia has just entered. . . .”
7.–” . . . . For years the U.S. proclaimed that the Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) facilities it was placing in Romania and Poland, on the Russian border, were to protect against an “Iranian threat,” even though Iran had no nuclear weapons or missiles that could reach the U.S. But the dual-use Mark 41 launching systems used in the Aegis Ashore BMD facilities can be used to launch Tomahawk cruise missiles, and will be fitted with SM‑6 missiles that, if armed with nuclear warheads, could hit Moscow in five-to-six minutes. Putin explicitly warned journalists about this danger in 2016; Russia included the removal of the U.S. BMD facilities in Romania and Poland in its draft treaties presented to the U.S. and NATO last December. . . .”
Next, we tackle “Volodymyr Zelensky and the ‘Jewish Question.’ ” (This is a grim pun. “The Jewish Question” was the Third Reich’s euphemism for the impending “Final Solution” to “The Jewish Question.”)
The altogether valid Russian military goal of the invasion was “De-Nazification” has been attacked as a ruse using Zelensky’s Jewish affiliation as a rebuttal.

This has taken place in many other instances across America and demonstrates how Bormann’s people operate in the contemporary commercial world, in contrast to the fanciful nonsense with which Nazis are described in so much ‘literature.’ So much emphasis is placed on select Jewish participation in Bormann companies that when Adolf Eichmann was seized and taken to Tel Aviv to stand trial, it produced a shock wave in the Jewish and German communities of Buenos Aires. . . .”
Putin’s stated war aim of “De-Nazification” has been scorned by Western critics who cite president Zelensky’s Jewish identity. In effect, this ironically utilizes a Nazi iteration of identity politics: “He can’t be a Nazi, because he is a Jew.” In that context we note: 1)–” . . . . Zelensky’s top financial backer, the Ukrainian Jewish oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, has been a key benefactor of the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion and other extremists militias. . . . Kolomoisky, . . . has been a top funder of Azov since it was formed in 2014. . . .” 2)–The election monitors of Zelensky’s bid were drawn from the Azov Battalion’s National Druzhina Militia: ” . . . . They are the ultranationalist National Militia, street vigilantes with roots in the battle-tested Azov Battalion that emerged to defend Ukraine against Russia-backed separatists but was also accused of possible war crimes and neo-Nazi sympathies. Yet despite the controversy surrounding it, the National Militia was granted permission by the Central Election Commission to officially monitor Ukraine’s presidential election on March 31. . . .” 3)–” . . . . Though Zelensky made anti-corruption the signature issue of his campaign, the Pandora Papers exposed him and members of his inner circle stashing large payments from Kolomoisky in a shadowy web of offshore accounts. . . .“WFMU-FM is podcasting For The Record–You can subscribe to the podcast HERE. This program continues analysis of the war in Ukraine.
As mentioned by Mr. Emory in the last program, the war and its attendant coverage has had the effect of the mythological “Philosophers’ Stone” of the alchemists, creating an alchemical transformation of this country, its political culture and citizenry, the EU and UK, their political cultures and citizenry and much of the world into the Orwellian historical perversion being enacted by the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.
In numerous broadcasts, we have noted the Orwellian rewrite of Ukrainian history to deny the perpetrators of the Holocaust in that country and whitewash the Nazi-allied OUN/B and UPA.
An article in Foreign Policy (published by “The Washington Post” and consequently VERY mainstream), further develops the activities of Volodymyr Viatrovych, appointed as head of the Institute of National memory by Viktor Yuschenko and then re-appointed by Petro Petroshenko.
After the Yushcneko government left power and prior to the Maidan coup, Viatrovych was in the U.S., working as a fellow at Harvard University’s Ukrainian Research Institute. This is in line with the fundamental role of the OUN/B‑based American emigre community in the generation of the Orange Revolution and the Maidan coup.
” . . . . During this period Viatrovych spent time in North America on a series of lecture tours, as well as a short sojourn as a research fellow at the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute (HURI). He also continued his academic activism, writing books and articles promoting the heroic narrative of the OUN-UPA. In 2013 he tried to crash and disrupt a workshop on Ukrainian and Russian nationalism taking place at the Harriman Institute at Columbia. When the Maidan Revolution swept Yanukovych out of power in February 2014, Viatrovych returned to prominence. . . .”
Recall that Yuschenko married the former Ykaterina Chumachenko–Reagan’s Deputy Director of Public Liaison and a key operative of the OUN/B’s American front organiztion the U.C.C.A.–and had Roman Zvarych (Jaroslav Stetsko’s personal secretary in the early 1980’s) as his Minister of Justice.
Note, also, that Serhiy Kvit, the Ukrainian Minister of Education is a bird of the same feather as Viatrovych. ” .
. . . . Last June, Kvit’s Ministry of Education issued a directive to teachers regarding the “necessity to accentuate the patriotism and morality of the activists of the liberation movement,” including depicting the UPA as a ‘symbol of patriotism and sacrificial spirit in the struggle for an independent Ukraine” and Bandera as an ‘outstanding representative’ of the Ukrainian people. . . .’ ”
The measure of the revisionism underway in Ukraine can be gauged by this: “. . . . UPA supreme commander Dmytro Kliachkivs’kyi explicitly stated: ‘We should carry out a large-scale liquidation action against Polish elements. During the evacuation of the German Army, we should find an appropriate moment to liquidate the entire male population between 16 and 60 years old.’ Given that over 70 percent of the leading UPA cadres possessed a background as Nazi collaborators, none of this is surprising. . . .”
It is depressing and remarkable to see such elements being portrayed as “heroic!”
Additional perspective on the physical, political and historical reality underlying Viatrovych’s revisionism is the massacre of the 600 residents of the Polish town of Janowa Dolina by the UPA. ” . . . . On the night of April 22–23 (Good Friday), 1943, the Ukrainians from the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, together with local peasants, attacked Janowa Dolina. Some 600 people, including children and the elderly, were brutally murdered (see Massacres of Poles in Volhynia). Most homes were burned to the ground and the settlement deserted. The perpetrators, commanded by Ivan Lytwynchuk (aka Dubowy) exercised rare cruelty. Poles, unprepared and caught by surprise, were hacked to death with axes, burned alive, and impaled (including children). The murderers did not spare anyone, regardless of age and sex. German garrison, numbering around 100 soldiers, did not act and remained in its barracks. After the first wave of murders, the Ukrainian nationalists started searching the hospital. They carried its Ukrainian patients away from the building, while Polish patients were burned alive.[2] Dr Aleksander Bakinowski, together with his assistant Jan Borysowicz, were hacked to death on the square in front of the hospital. In several cases, Ukrainians were murdered for trying to hide their Polish neighbours. Petro Mirchuk, Ukrainian historian, counted several hundred massacred Poles, with only eight UPA members killed. . . .”
The overall them of this series is encapsulated in a letter from Glenn Pinchback–an Operations Officer at Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Jim Garrison in connection with the latter’s investigation of the assassination of JFK.
. . . . Garrison also obtained a transcript of a letter written by Ferrie to Baragona. Next to Baragona’s name, Garrison wrote: “Note Baragona is important.” The letter had been sent to Garrison by Glenn Pinchback, and a carbon copy was sent to Mendel Rivers, a congressman from Georgia. (Pinchback worked in the Operations Command at Fort Sill, where he intercepted mail.) In the letter, Ferrie shared his dream of the re-unification of Germany and living in a world where all the currency was in Deutschmarks. Pinchback’s summation of the letter described a “Neo-Nazi plot to enslave America in the name of anti-Communism,” and “a neo-Nazi plot gargantuan in scope.”
In conclusion, the feelings I have are best expressed through a poem I have read in a number of programs:
“Be Angry at the Sun” by Robinson Jeffers
That public men publish falsehoods
Is nothing new. That America must accept
Like the historical republics corruption and empire
Has been known for years.
Be angry at the sun for setting
If these things anger you. Watch the wheel slope and turn,
They are all bound on the wheel, these people, those warriors.
This republic, Europe, Asia.
Observe them gesticulating,
Observe them going down. The gang serves lies, the passionate
Man plays his part; the cold passion for truth
Hunts in no pack.
You are not Catullus, you know,
To lampoon these crude sketches of Caesar. You are far
From Dante’s feet, but even farther from his dirty
Political hatreds.
Let boys want pleasure, and men
Struggle for power, and women perhaps for fame,
And the servile to serve a Leader and the dupes to be duped.
Yours is not theirs.
