In FTR#691, we set forth the Con­fed­er­ate Secret Ser­vice’s cen­tral role in the suc­cess­ful plot to assas­si­nate Pres­i­dent Lin­coln. Two Con­fed­er­ate Generals–one of Robert E. Lee’s cousins and one of his sons–appear to have been involved in the plot. A rel­a­tive by mar­riage also may have been involved in the gam­bit. In the Tues­day, 9/28/2021 West­ern Edi­tion of “The New York Times”, there is an op-ed col­umn by biog­ra­ph­er Allen C. Gueizo about the dilem­mas fac­ing some­one under­tak­ing to write about his­tor­i­cal fig­ures who have been vil­lain­ous in their con­duct. (He is deal­ing with that in con­junc­tion with writ­ing about Gen­er­al Robert E. Lee.) Cer­tain­ly, an ACCURATE telling of rel­e­vant events and facts would reduce the bur­den of his­tor­i­cal account­ing. “They Are All Bound on The Wheel . . . .” Reflections on The Death of George Floyd and Its Aftermath

My feel­ings about the George Floyd killing and its after­math are best expressed in a poem I have read on a num­ber of pro­grams. In FTR #46, I detailed the assas­si­na­tion of Mar­tin Luther King. The research in FTR #46, in turn, updat­ed infor­ma­tion pre­sent­ed on the 17th anniver­sary of the assas­si­na­tion of Dr. King more than a decade ear­li­er. Two years ago, when doing ten hours of pro­gram­ming about Dr. King’s mur­der on the 50th anniver­sary of that event, I was struck by the utter pas­siv­i­ty and silence, not just on the part of the main­stream media, but on the part of the African-Amer­i­can com­mu­ni­ty, as well as the so-called “pro­gres­sive sec­tor.” How can peo­ple who have acqui­esced in the cold-blood­ed assas­si­na­tion of Amer­i­ca’s most promi­nent civ­il rights leader at the hands of pow­er­ful ele­ments of gov­ern­ment man­i­fest sur­prise or out­rage at Floy­d’s death? Per­haps it is because “They are all bound on the wheel . . . .”


Black Ignorance and Historical Amnesia Matter

Actor Will Smith and his wife Jada Pin­kett Smith have donat­ed $150,000 to Louis Far­rakhan’s lat­est PR stunt, a march termed “Jus­tice or Else.” Farrakhan–“the min­strel show Mussolini”–is impli­cat­ed in the assas­si­na­tion of Mal­com X, the man whose man­tle he has assumed.
He has also run polit­i­cal inter­fer­ence for African nations that con­tin­ue to enslave black Africans. Are we to assume that–for Will Smith and his ilk–Malcom X’s life and the lives of black Africans who con­tin­ue to endure the yoke of slav­ery real­ly DON’T mat­ter? Academic Study Says KKK Played a Major Role in Swinging the South for GOP

A recent aca­d­e­m­ic study indi­cates that the Ku Klux Klan played a promi­nent role in con­vert­ing the South from Demo­c­ra­t­ic to Repub­li­can con­trol. Uti­liz­ing the “South­ern Strat­e­gy” to cap­ture a “sol­id South” while mak­ing uneven gains in oth­er states, the GOP has used the Demo­c­ra­t­ic Par­ty’s sup­port for African-Amer­i­can civ­il rights to put the for­mer Con­fed­er­a­cy solid­ly in the “W” col­umn for the Repub­li­cans. This pro­gram under­scores the fun­da­men­tal con­ti­nu­ity between the forces embod­ied in Eddie the Friend­ly Spook and the GOP con­gress­men and sen­a­tors hold­ing the coun­try hostage to eco­nom­ic ruin. Bill Moy­ers cor­rect­ly labeled the GOP actions as a form of seces­sion. Fun­da­men­tal rejec­tion of demo­c­ra­t­ic process are at the core of the peo­ple and insti­tu­tions in Snow­den’s milieu, who reca­pit­u­late the val­ues expressed by Hitler in his speech before the Indus­try Club of Dus­sel­dorf.

Con­tin­u­ing our analy­sis of the “dis­clo­sures” of Eddie the Friend­ly Spook [Snow­den], we high­light the Palan­tir firm which, its offi­cial dis­claimers to the con­trary notwith­stand­ing, appears to be the com­pa­ny that man­u­fac­tures the PRISM soft­ware at the cen­ter of Snow­den’s leak­ing. Osten­si­bly “left/progressive,” with a taste for smok­ing joints and J.R. Tolkien, Palan­tir CEO Alex Karp heads a firm that would per­mit one of its intel­li­gence com­mu­ni­ty and/or cor­po­rate spon­sors to sit down at a key­board and check some­one for hem­or­rhoids. The largest investor in Palan­tir is Peter Thiel, whom we exam­ined at length and in detail in FTR #718. Thiel was also the main financier of Ron Paul’s 2012 Super PAC. (Ron Paul was Eddie Snow­den’s Pres­i­den­tial can­di­date of choice.) Thiel is so far to the right that he explic­it­ly rejects democ­ra­cy, in no small mea­sure because we made what he sees as the mis­take of allow­ing women to vote. An exam­i­na­tion of Karp and his intel­lec­tu­al men­tor Juer­gen Haber­mas, sug­gests that both are “not as adver­tised.”

Eddie the Friend­ly Spook [Snow­den] is a big Ron Paul sup­port­er, hav­ing con­tributed mon­ey to his 2012 cam­paign. Paul is a hard­core racist and fas­cist, net­work­ing for decades with the likes of David Duke. Ron Paul’s top legal advis­er in his 2012 run was Bruce Fein, now the lawyer for Snow­den, and his father Lon. Eddie Snow­den is an expo­nent of the polit­i­cal, eco­nom­ic and social views of the 1%. Those views come from the Lud­wig von Mis­es Insti­tute, explic­it­ly anti-demo­c­ra­t­ic and joined at the hip with the neo-Con­fed­er­ate move­ment. Ron Paul is also joined at the hip with the neo-Con­fed­er­ate move­ment, as is his son Rand Paul.

The pro­gram updates the Nazi and fas­cist con­nec­tions of Julian Assange and the Wik­iLeaks milieu. After review­ing Assange’s links with Holo­caust Denier Joran Jer­mas and Wik­iLeaks’ asso­ci­a­tion with the PRQ serv­er in Swe­den, the broad­cast notes the neo-Nazi infil­tra­tion of the Pirate Par­ty in Ger­many. The fledg­ling Wik­iLeaks Par­ty in Aus­tralia backed far-right and fas­cist par­ties instead of its Green Par­ty back­ers. Julian Assange is a big fan of Ron and Rand Paul.

Not a “lone nut,” John Wilkes Booth was act­ing as a Con­fed­er­ate agent when he killed Lin­coln. Booth was part of a vast under­ground appa­ra­tus assem­bled for the oper­a­tion, that includ­ed “the Gray Ghost”, Colonel John Mos­by and two rel­a­tives of Gen­er­al Robert E. Lee.
