With the possibility of nuclear war lurking over the political horizon, the tragi-comic nature of Western and U.S. journalistic coverage of Ukraine continues to appall. Citing phony photographs provided by associates of the Ukrainian government, as well as “evidence” provided by Cold War spin-off company DigitalGlobe, the U.S. is leaving itself vulnerable to the possibility of provocation by the OUN/B heirs it has supported in Kiev. As the halting investigation into the Maidan coup and the sniper attacks that precipitated it generates more information, it is becoming clearer that sniper fire at the Maidan demonstrations may well have originated with the anti-government forces controlled by the Nazi Svoboda and similar organizations. Major points of discussion in this program include: the continued influx of foreign nationals to run the “Ukrainian” government; the criminal record of former Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili, a newly appointed adviser to Poroshenko; continued portrayal of Ukrainian Nazi storm troopers as credible journalistic sources; slips by Ukrainian media personnel indicating the false nature of reports of Russian invasion; nuclear saber rattling by a high-ranking Ukrainian government official; a plan to shoot deserters from the Ukrainian army.
We’ve been covering information pointing to the sniper fire that ignited the Maidan coup as having come from the anti-government forces. Not surprisingly, personnel from Svoboda and the fascist “punisher battalions” crop up repeatedy in the unfolding narrative. German-Foreign-Policy.com features a comparison with the “cooking” of journalistic information about Ukraine with what took place in the former Yugoslavia, the NATO operation against Kosovo, in particular. We’ve spent much time on the Ukraine crisis, an unfolding debacle that threatens a global economic collapse or worse. As the U.S. dispatches military advisers and armored vehicles to Ukraine’s national guard (which includes its Nazi “volunteer battalions”), former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev has added his voice those warning that events in Ukraine could lead to nuclear war. Even if that calamity is averted, the push to destroy the Russian economy may precipitate a global financial crisis, with a credit default there spreading economic contagion around the world. Russian analysts and some in the West see the ramping up of economic pressure on Russia as a drive for regime change, making the “economy scream” as was done in Nixon’s destabilization of the Allende regime in Chile. The concluding portion of the broadcast highlights the renascent power of the von Habsburg family in Ukraine and other former territories of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Active in Georgia, Hungary, Sweden and Austria, the von Habsburgs have been quiet but major players in Nazi aggression in World War II, the Cold War and the destabilization of the former Soviet Union and the breakup of Yugoslavia.
As the title indicates this program brings up to date a number of stories covered in the past and introduces some new topics of discussion. The topics covered include: JFK’s 1963 attempts at normalizing relations with Cuba; new information casting doubt on the “lone nut” theory of the 2001 anthrax attacks (which fingered Bruce Ivins as a “lone nut” perpetrator); Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s suppression of political dissent, echoing the policies of Francisco Franco; a Catholic mass held to honor the memory of the murderous World War II Ustachi leader Ante Pavelic; the global economic elites’ pursuit of the same economic policies that drove people into the arms of fascism in the 1930’s; Ayn Rand’s role in investigating the 1940’s movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” as possible crypto-Communist propaganda; the GOP’s implementation of fraudulent “dynamic scoring” economic evaluation; theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking’s warning that the development of Artificial Intelligence could threaten the existence of humanity; Mr. Emory’s 1995 warning that the development of Artificial Intelligence could threaten the existence of humanity.
In FTR #824, we noted the decisive role played by the Ukrainian diaspora in the events unfolding in Eastern Europe. Petro Poroshenko is implementing a legal gambit to permit foreign nationals to assume cabinet positions in his new government. In particular, Poroshenko expressed the desire to incorporate citizens of the U.S., Georgia and Lithuania in Ukraine’s government. In short order, Ukrainian/American State Department Officer Natalie Jaresko, Lithuanian-born U.S. citizen Airvas Abramovicius and Georgian Aleksandre Kvitashvili assumed the posts of finance minister, economic and development and trade minister and health minister respectively. All three were educated in the United States. Jaresko is a former State Department officer with close links to the US Agency for International Development. The appointments come as Ukraine is close to defaulting on a $17bn IMF loan and members of Ukraine’s fascist volunteer battalions are lobbying Congress for military aid. Poroshenko is also granting citizenship to foreign-born neo-Nazis, as well as instituting an information ministry that critics have compared to The Ministry of Truth from George Orwell’s 1984.
Supplementing previous work about the Ukrainian crisis–one which might spark a nuclear war–we note the decisive role of the OUN/B diaspora in the coalescence of fascism in that troubled nation. The U.S., Canada joined Ukraine as the only nations to vote against a U.N. General Assembly resolution condemning the glorification of Nazi collaborators as “freedom fighters,” probably because of the large OUN/B contingents present in those countries. (Germany and the other EU nations abstained.) Most of the broadcast accesses a very important article by George Eliason detailing the historical background of the Ukrainian diaspora, tracing the roots of Ukrainian, central and Eastern European fascism to the 19th century ultra-nationalist exceptionalism fostered by the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Nurtured by the Promethean League between the World Wars, Nazi Germany during the Second World War and the Western democracies during the Cold War, that virulent, bloody ideology triumphed after the breakup of the U.S.S.R. The program concludes by noting that Poroshenko has proposed bringing in citizens of the U.S., Lithuania and Georgia to staff the Ukrainian federal police.
This past week, the U.S. was one of three countries to vote against a U.N. resolution condemning the celebration of Nazi collaborators as “freedom fighters”–something the U.S. has been promoting since the end of World War II. Germany and the EU nations abstained. Ukraine itself and Canada were the other countries that voted against the resolution. The OUN/B diaspora and its influence in the GOP and intelligence services of the U.S. is the primary consideration to be weighed in connection with this disgraceful episode. Author Peter Levenda has posted an article (excerpted from his recent book) that encapsulates significant elements of discussion presented by Mr. Emory and featured on this website. Noting Imperial Germany’s use of Islamic proxy warriors during the First World War and Nazi Germany’s incorporation of the same stratagem, Levenda notes that Nazi elements have continued to use Muslim proxy warfare to advance the goals of what Mr. Emory calls the Underground Reich. Having incorporated many important elements of Nazi Germany’s national security establishment into its own after World War II, the United States has co-opted the tactic of proxy war. To its detriment, the U.S. has failed to grasp that the Underground Reich and its Islamist proxies have their own agendas. Those agendas feature the defeat of the United States as a centerpiece of long-term strategy. Concluding with an examination of recent American military involvement, the program notes that much of what we are doing actually benfits Germany and occurs in areas formerly belonging to the Ottoman Empire.
For decades, we’ve been researching the Croatian fascists known as Ustachi. In an interview in Rolling Stone magazine, Bob Dylan made a reference to the Ustachi slaughter of Serbs (as well as Jews and gypsies) by the Ustachi. Subsequently, Dylan was charged with a hate crime by France/EU! A Croatian soccer player recently stirred up Ustachi sentiments at a World Cup qualifying match.
I.G. Farben’s Fischer-Tropsch process is experiencing an industrial renaissance. In Kosovo, former NATO commander General Wesley Clark is chairman of a company using it to produce synthetic fuel from Kosovo’s coal deposits. Coincidentally (?) the head of NATO peacekeeping forces in Kosovo was the son of Nazi war crminal and Third Reich finance ministry official Fritz Reinhardt.
