If, as seems altogether probable, Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed to sit on the Supreme Court, there will be three judges on SCOTUS that worked for Baker Botts on the Florida recount that gave Dubya the Presidency in the 2000 election. John Roberts is now Chief Justice. Brett Kavanaugh also worked on the Florida debacle for Baker Botts. We should not forget that Trump aide and long-time GOP dirty trickster Roger Stone [right] led the so-called “Brooks Brothers Riot” that helped shut down the Dade County vote recount.

Happily recovered from major heart surgery, heroic investigative journalist Daniel Hopsicker rejoins our airwaves to recount some of his investigations, old and new. We begin with Daniel’s reportage on Jeb Bush’s role in covering up the milieu of Huffman Aviation and Mohamed Atta’s activities in South Florida. Daniel’s investigations into intelligence-community-connected drug smuggling began with his investigation into Barry Seal. FTR #831 The Elderly “Wouldn’t Be Fucking Helpless if You Weren’t Sending them Fucking Checks to Sit on their Ass and Lay in Hospitals all Day”: The GOP’s Assault on Social Security
The title of the program is a verbatim quote from Edward Snowden–the Peach Fuzz Fascist–in 2009. The GOP-controlled 114th Congress is attempting to implement Snowden’s views. In addition to highlighting Snowden’s ultra-reactionary views about abolishing Social Security and restoring the gold standard, the broadcast sets forth the GOP’s disingenuous statements about the Social Security disability program, exemplified by Rand Paul’s bald-faced lies about the nature of the program. After chronicling the GOP’s 80-year war on Social Security, going back to the early days of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s first term, the broadcast reviews the 1934 coup attempt by powerful, fascist industrial and financial interests. Those same plotters supported Mussolini’s “corporate state” and Hitler’s eugenics program, aimed at eliminating “useless bread gobblers.” Like Snowden, the 1934 coup plotters wanted to eliminate Social Security and restore the gold standard.
Dr. Michael Baden and the Michael Brown Autopsy
There is an old adage among the practitioners of the clandestine arts: “Give us the coroner, we’ll control the city.” It is in that context that we note that Dr. Michael Baden performed the private autopsy on Michael Brown’s body. It was Baden who endorsed the untenable “Magic Bullet Theory” for the House Select Committee’s investigation of the assassination of JFK. We certainly don’t have enough information to state without qualification that an “op” is unfolding in the Michael Brown case, but that is a possibility that should always be evaluated when Baden turns up in the mix. Benghazi Follies
With the political firestorm generated by the GOP over the Benghazi attack in 2012, it is certainly interesting and possibly very relevant to note that the C.I.A. base chief ordered five commandos guarding the base to stand down, thereby enabling the lethal violence that claimed the life of the American ambassador to Libya. One wonders if the delay was in fact to precipitate the lethal debacle being utilized by the Republicans in their anti-Clinton, anti-Obama propaganda?
FTR #797 Cyber-Libertarian Fascism: Update on the Adventures of Eddie the Friendly Spook
In the long FTR series on L’Affaire Snowden, we noted that all of the players were outright fascists and/or exponents of corporatist economic theory. That includes Pierre Omidyar, Nazi fellow-traveler Glenn Greenwald’s financial angel and backer of First Look media. Touting the laissez-faire economics of the GOP and other corporatist elements around the world, Omidyar has also helped to finance the rise of fascist elements abroad, including assisting in the ascent of the OUN/B successor forces in the Ukraine, as well as Narendra Modi, heir to the RSS Hindu fascists that spawned his BJP. Julian Assange, his political idol Rand Paul, Rand Paul’s supporter Ralph Nader and Snowden himself all figure strongly into this unsavory political landscape.
The Bowe Bergdahl Controversy
With the Bergdahl “controversy,” American political culture continues to hit new lows, courtesy of the terrorist-coddling GOP and their Amen chorus in the media. John McCain–himself a former POW–seems intent on leading the GOP’s race to the bottom, no mean feat under the circumstances. Dewey Clarridge, himself a player in the Iran-Contra affair, was the source for much of the “secret intelligence” that has been utilized by Fox News, that beacon of journalistic integrity.
FTR #796 Sterling Example: Another Visit with Daniel Hopsicker
Recently, soon-to-be-former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has garnered much media attention for his “off the rails” comments about African-Americans and former NBA great Magic Johnson, in particular. What has NOT garnered much attention at all is his background. An associate of mob straw man Allen Glick and his buddy, the late Al Davis of Oakland Raiders fame, Sterling’s rise in the real estate business suggests that there is more to the story than meets the eye.One of the aspects of Sterling’s career that has received little scrutiny is his curious behavior with regard to a non-existent project for the homeless and the apparently non-existent “assistance” to that project provided by Ramy El-Batrawi. Batrawi was a long-time associate of arms dealer and money-man Adnan Khashoggi, a major player in the shadowy world of intelligence community covert operations, gun-running and dope trafficking. Khashoggi has been a major financier of the “controlled demolition of the World Trade Center” disinformation operation, crafted by some of the 9/11 conspirators to cover-up their attacks.
