In July of 2015, Donald Trump tweeted a campaign ad that featured a picture of uniformed Waffen SS troopers in the lower right-hand corner. A photograph of Waffen SS-clad World War II reenactors, the picture was blamed on an intern. This has become a familiar sort of dodge by Trump when caught tweeting openly racist, anti-Semitic and/or pro-Nazi material–“Who, me?” “. . . . In an almost impossibly bizarre coincidence . . . . George’s brother John [Cairns] is also a stock photographer, and took the image of Nazi reenactors that was accidentally used in a flier for the campaign of North Carolina state legislator Tim Spear in 2010.. . . ”
The mafia began as a resistance movement focused against Norse (Viking) and Saracen (Turkish/Muslim) invaders in 12th and 13 century Sicily. It might seem incredible to the casual observer that an organization that began so long ago could have developed and spread to the size, gravitas and scope of operations that it has. We also appreciate that when Mr. Emory uses the term “Underground Reich,” it might seem odd or incredible to many. Bringing up to date “L’Affaire Snowden,” we underscore the deep politics underlying the CIA’s broadcast psychological warfare fronts and their evolution into the milieu involving and surrounding Eddie the Friendly Spook. Much of the material in this program is reviewed from previous broadcasts, presented here to provide depth and understanding to how what has been presented as a “progressive,” “enlightened” phenomenon could be its opposite. “Team Snowden” manifests fascism and the Underground Reich at every turn. A major element of analysis is the development of the CIA’s focal point networks in the 1950’s, resulting in the formation of a CIA-controlled “government-within-the-government.” Is “Team Snowden” evolved from the focal point networks? Next the broadcast reviews the formation of the Broadcast Board of Governors, an umbrella organization enfolding the CIA’s radio propaganda and psychological fronts formed during the Cold War. “Team Snowden” is inextricably linked with the BBG–Snowden himself worked for CIA when he decided to infiltrate NSA and leak its secrets. In that context, we note that the Gehlen organization was at the foundation of the formation of the propaganda/psychological warfare fronts under the direction of the BBG. Much of the program underscores the Gehlen Org’s links to the Underground Reich, in order to reinforce listeners’ understanding of how this network dating to World War II could project its influence through the decades and into our contemporary historical period. ” . . . A network of former Nazi intelligence agents, the majority of whom were members of the SS, began working out of offices at Camp King side by side with army intelligence officers. . . . The Gehlen Organization was a murderous bunch, “free-wheeling” and out of control. . . The army became fed up with the Gehlen Organization, but there was no way out. Its operatives were professional double-crossers and liars–many were also alleged war criminals–and now they had the army over a barrel. . . .” Discussion concludes with “First Look” media czar Pierre Omidyar’s selection of Robert Lietzke to be an Omidyar fellow (Lietzke was one of Edward Snowden’s superiors when he was employed at Booz Allen Hamilton.) Program Highlights Include: Review of the Crusade For Freedom–the covert operation that precipitated the formation of the Nazi wing of the GOP; the CFF’s use of Radio Liberty as a front for employing fascists and laundering funds; the continuity in the Nazi chain of command from the Third Reich to the Gehlen organization when it went to work for the U.S.; the Gehlen organization’s strong links to the Bormann capital network; the strong overlap of the Thyssen industrial family, its business partners in the Bush family, Allen Dulles’ CIA and the Bormann network; the Gehlen group’s initial re-incarnation as the eyes and ears of Army intelligence.
From the Republican Party to European political and intellectual elites to “The New York Times,” everyone is “shocked, shocked” at the fascistic nature of the Trump candidacy. They shouldn’t be–his candidacy is the direct outgrowth of powerful forces that have been at work in this country for decades. After highlighting two op-ed pieces from the “Times,” accurately noting the virulent fascism at the root of the Trump phenomenon, the broadcast notes that neither Europe, where fascism is on the march once again, nor the American so-called “progressive sector,” which has embraced the “Eddie the Friendly Spook,” Glenn Greenwald and Julian Assange are in a position to complain. Snowden, Greenwald, Assange et al embody PRECISELY the same forces percolating at the surface of the Trump waters. Much of the broadcast consists of excerpts of an important new book: “The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America’s Secret Government” by David Talbot. In that worthy volume, Talbot chronicles the role of the Dulles brothers and Sullivan and Cromwell in the capitalization of Hitler’s Germany and the cover-up of the Nazi flight capital program, Dulles’s long collaboration with Nazi General Reinhard Gehlen, Gehlen’s pursuit (with Dulles) of the Cold War as a continuation of Hitler’s war against the U.S.S.R., the Dulles/Gehlen collaboration in the formation of the fascist networks known as “Stay Behind/Gladio.” The program concludes with review of the Crusade For Freedom, a Dulles project which culminated in the formation of a Nazi branch of the GOP. Program Highlights Include: the genesis of the Bormann network and its apparent collaboration with the Dulles networks; Prescott Bush, Sr.‘s role as the Senate’s liaison with Dulles’s CIA; the roles of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, William Casey and George H.W. Bush with the Crusade For Freedom; “The New York Times” and its own incorporation of Third Reich alumni as part of its collaboration with CIA.
This ninth interview fills in the details concerning a mysterious cast of characters in Indonesia who were investigating the late president Sukarno’s Revolutionary Fund. That fund appears to have derived from large amounts of World War II wealth stolen by Japan and Germany. Dr. Sosro Husodo alleged in a book that a mysterious Nazi named Dr. Anton Poch was actually Hitler. That allegation has never been proved, however the stories of Poch, Husodo, Dr. Edison Damanik and an Indonesian arms dealer named Soeryo Goeritno are indicative of a massive, ongoing cover-up of the political and economic dynamics underlying their situations. Expanding the scope of the inquiry to the capital flows asssociated with the Third Reich, its postwar underground phase and institutions associated with and/or evolving from Nazism, the programs sets forth a number of considerations: the financing of the postwar German economic miracle by German corporations; the frustration of the de-Nazification of corporate Germany by the Third Reich’s prominent American economic backers; the enormous scale of the Nazi economic diaspora; the role of Klaus Barbie and his “Fiancees of Death” in ODESSA-related operations; Colonia Dignidad and its role in laundering ODESSA money.
The first of several interviews with Peter Levenda about his important new book “The Hitler Legacy,” this program highlights the evolution of elements which figure into the development of the post-war Nazi underground. At the end of the First World War, the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia and abortive Marxist uprisings in Germany and elsewhere in Europe infused the power elite in the U.S. with a paranoid ideological terror of a global “Jewish-Marxist” conspiracy. Combined with fear of Catholic and Jewish immigrants and their effect on American society, this ideological paranoia fused with a social Darwinism that found its expression in eugenics–a pseudo-intellectual doctrine that sought the promotion of “desirable” social and ethnic types and the suppression and/or elimination of “inferior” racial types. Seeing Germany as the point element in the struggle against world Marxism, individuals and political parties sought to ally with German fascists to bring fascism to the U.S. This fascist Fifth Column included political groups ranging from the Ku Klux Klan to the Silver Shirts of William Dudley Pelley, as well as the prototypical right-wing talk show host Father Charles Coughlin, “the Radio Priest.” Coughlin’s efforts were subsidized by Third Reich intelligence. Financed by financiers and industrialists who supported fascism, this Fifth Column attempted to kill and/or overthrow FDR on several occasions. In the Middle East, the concept of global jihad was developed by German archaelogist Max von Oppenheim during the First World War. Envisioning the world’s Muslims as proxy warriors against the Entente Powers of Britain, France and Russia, von Oppenheim created the template for contemporary Islamic fascism and jihadism. Following the division of the former Ottoman Empire by Britain and France after World War I, the “Arab Street” began manifesting belief in an international global conspiracy involving Jews and the European colonial powers that resonated with the American power elite’s idological anxieties.
This broadcast illustrates the deep political relationships that evolved from the Third Reich’s formal military occupation of Europe. These relationships are inextricably linked with the remarkable and deadly Bormann capital network that forms the basis of much of Mr. Emory’s analytical paradigm. Taken in concert, they help to illustrate what Mr. Emory means by “Underground Reich.” Angela Merkel’s selection of austerity advocate Jean-Claude Juncker as President of the European Union Commission will see a long-time German ally and son of a Wehrmacht combatant ascend to the pinnacle of EU governorship. The connections dominating the background and character of the Germanophile Juncker track back to the Nazi occupation of Luxembourg during World War II and cartel connections that facilitated the Third Reich’s amoeba-like absorption of the European economy. During the Nazi occupation, Luxembourg’s economy was folded into “Europa Germanica,” with Gustav Koenigs, Chairman of the Bush-Family linked Hamburg-Amerika Line and Secretary of State of the Third Reich overseeing the steel cartel ARBED and much of Luxembourg’s other business. After the war, Luxembourg continued to be a primary element of the Bormann capital network.
Exploring past and present, this program examines a detailed, scholarly working hypothesis by authors Simon Dunstan and Gerrard Williams concerning the possible escape of Adolf Hitler at the end of World War II. The authors posit that the key players in the realization of Aktion Feurland–the code-name for the operation facilitating Hitler’s escape–were Allen Dulles on the Allied side and Martin Bormann for the Third Reich. Centered on a quid pro quo arrangement, the authors hypothesize that Aktion Feurland involved the transfer of Nazi technology to the U.S. and the West (known as Project Paperclip) and the saving of priceless works of art from destruction. The ‘discovery” of a huge cache of Nazi-looted art in Munich in late 2013 is examined against the background of this alleged quid pro quo.
It is comparatively rare to see articles in the mainstream press mentioning the profound support for Nazi Germany among American industrialists, financiers and political elite. A rare instance is a recent Daily Mail article from the UK. In addition to discussing the links between the Thyssen industrial empire and the Bush family, the broadcast underscores I.G. Farben’s decisive role in the German war economy and its links to the largest American corporations.
Hitting the nail on the head, Democrat John Burton labeled the GOP as purveyors of the Big Lie, comparing them with Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels. Not only is this an apt comparison, but the Republican Party has, for decades, been inextricably linked with Third Reich alumni and the Underground Reich. Burton’s wilting under fire is only too typical of the unwillingness of American society to look at the stark, ugly truths about this country.
