Alleged mastermind of the Silk Road online clandestine funding/merchandising network, Ross Ulbricht is a devotee of Ron Paul and the Ludwig von Mises school of social and economic theory. Both Ron Paul and the Ludwig von Mises Institute are the polar opposite of what their libertarian adherents appear to advocate.
The Enigmatic Sven Olaf Kamphuis and the “Cyber-Wandervogel”
The investigation into a recent cyberattack has highlighted an eccentric, brilliant programmer named Sven Olaf Kamphuis, a citizen of the Netherlands. Kamphuis emphatically denies that he was in any way involved in the attacks and no charges have been filed. What interests us are some aspects of Mr. Kamphuis’s outlook that suggest the possibility that he might be what we have termed “Cyber-Wandervogel.”

Italy’s recent elections saw the Five Stars Movement of comedian Beppe Grillo winning a share of the vote that will enable it to play a key role in forming the next coalition government. There are indications of the party’s sympathy for fascism and neo-fascism. Not surprisingly, Grillo appears to be anti-Semitic as well.
Now, About those School Yard Shootings . . .
With the nation and much of the world focused on the gruesome shootings in Newtown, Connectcut, we revisit the topic of the schoolyard shootings. In past programs, we have noted that a number of the [alleged] perpetrators of the school shootings have links to Nazi and white supremacist groups. A form of terrorism, these massacres destabilize society, leading to the popular sentiment for “order.” Endorsed by some elements of popular culture, the schoolyard shootings are functioning in a manner analogous to the Fritz Haarmann incident in Weimar Germany. That serial murder of more than a hundred juveniles, whose corpses were butchered and baked into meat pies, discredited the authorities of Weimar Germany, helping to sow sentiment that would benefit the Nazis.
