The first of two programs highlighting the unsolved 1986 assassination of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme, the broadcast features a 1988 article by the brilliant freelance Danish journalist Henrik Kruger, author of “The Great Heroin Coup: Drugs, Intelligence and International Fascism.” Through this examination of the intersected networks that Kruger has termed (in “The Great Heroin Coup”) “The International Fascista,” we are able to observe the elements of Operation Condor, key individuals and institutions comprising the former World Anti-Communist League, individuals and organizations underlying “the Strategy of Tension” in Italy, as well as the cast of characters that managed the Iran-Contra machinations. Long the focal point of death threats and assassination attempts, Palme had earned the lethal ire of fascists in North and South America, as well as Europe. The failure to solve the killing, despite the passage of almost 30 years and some very strong evidentiary tributaries, underscores the gravitas of the forces that destroyed Palme. Kruger’s article also serves as something of an “in vitro” window into many of the political networks we have examined over the years.
In our ongoing series of interviews with Peter Levenda, the author of “The Hitler Legacy,” we have highlighted points of discussion relating to WACL, Operation Condor, the Iran/Contra scandal and other elements that might not be familiar to recent/younger readers and listeners. Peter detailed his hair-raising visit to Colonia Dignidad in FTR #839. While going through some boxes in storage, we came across an old essay by the brilliant Danish journalist Henrik Kruger, author of “The Great Heroin Coup,” analyzing the unsolved 1986 assassination of Swedish prime minister Olof Palme. We present that article here, in order to familiarize younger readers and listeners with individuals and institutions we haven’t covered in decades. We’ve been covering information pointing to the sniper fire that ignited the Maidan coup as having come from the anti-government forces. Not surprisingly, personnel from Svoboda and the fascist “punisher battalions” crop up repeatedy in the unfolding narrative. German-Foreign-Policy.com features a comparison with the “cooking” of journalistic information about Ukraine with what took place in the former Yugoslavia, the NATO operation against Kosovo, in particular. In FTR #781, we noted that Viktor Yuschenko–married to top OUN/B official and Reagan Deputy Director of Presidential Liaison Ykaterina Chumachenko–institutionalized the Bandera political cadre, rewriting Ukrainian World War II history and paving the way for the rise of Swoboda and Pravy Sektor. We now learn that “new” Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has reconstituted the old Yuschenko team, including American-born Roman Svarych, Yuschenko’s Minister of Justice and the personal secretary to OUN/B leader Yaroslav Stetsko in the early 1980’s.
With the U.S. and Germany respectively playing Bad Cop (military aid and sanctions) and Good Cop (economic aid and resistance to further sanctions at the behest of key German corporations invested in Russia), the follow-up to the covert operation resulting in the coup d’etat of early 2014 is proceeding apace. German industry–surprise, surprise–plans to modernize Ukrainian industries and establish subcontracting arrangements to build automobiles in that cheap labor market. This will be coupled by the austerity doctrine we have termed “Von Clausewitzian economics.”
We have noted that the provisional government there is directly evolved from the OUN/B Ukrainian Nazi administration and military apparatus of World War II. We have also highlighted that the utter perversion of political and historical reality by our media is worthy of George Orwell’s 1984. In a post on the Ukrainian crisis, Robert Parry highlights the Orwellian nature of our media’s deliberate and fundamental misrepresentation of the situation there. In addition, Parry notes the inclusion of elements like Pravy Sektor and Swoboda into the national militas being sent to Eastern Ukraine as “anti-terrorist ” forces.
Both the actions of Eddie the Friendly Spook and those of the GOP Congressional faction have caused the world to view the U.S. in “fear and dismay.” This program examines intelligence leaks during World War II that might have proved extremely damaging to the United States. Highlighting elements of commonality between Snowden and the GOP “shutdown” proponents, the broadcast analyzes both as elements of an Underground Reich fifth column.
The first African-American in the Secret Service, Abraham Bolden noted many racist Kennedy-haters in JFK’s Secret Service detail. Several firm leads leading up to, and in the wake of, President Kennedy’s assassination were not pursued and were eventually covered-up by the Secret Service. Some of the leads led in the direction of the intelligence community’s anti-Castro Cuban milieu. Bolden was eventually framed for alleged criminal activity, apparently in retaliation for his criticism of the Secret Service.
Charles Higham, author of important exposés about fascism, has passed. His work highlighted Nazi Fifth columnists in the west, including American industrialists and financiers and the 1934 coup attempt against FDR.
Nixon’s removal from White House was an intelligence coup, not a “reaffirmation of democracy”; Poppy Bush centrally involved in his removal; Nixon angered some of the same interests as JFK and was removed by the same team.
