FTR #869 The Assassination of Olof Palme, Part 2

Con­tin­u­ing dis­cus­sion and analy­sis from FTR #868, this pro­gram under­scores the pos­si­ble role of Swedish and Scan­di­na­vian fas­cists over­lap­ping both WACL and Sapo, the Swedish intel­li­gence ser­vice. Involved with escape net­works forged to aid the inter­na­tion­al flight from jus­tice of fas­cists and Nazis, the prin­ci­pals in these net­works exhib­it­ed behav­ior around the time of the Palme killing that is sug­ges­tive. Worth not­ing in this regard is the late Stieg Larsson’s inves­ti­ga­tion of the Palme killing, which point­ed in the direc­tion of some of the same fig­ures exam­ined in the Kruger essay. The pro­gram con­cludes with an exam­i­na­tion of the Bofors muni­tions firm and its cor­po­rate links to Third Reich indus­try and the post­war Bor­mann cap­i­tal net­work, with which it may well be affil­i­at­ed.


FTR #868: The Assassination of Olof Palme, Part 1

The first of two pro­grams high­light­ing the unsolved 1986 assas­si­na­tion of Swedish Prime Min­is­ter Olof Palme, the broad­cast fea­tures a 1988 arti­cle by the bril­liant free­lance Dan­ish jour­nal­ist Hen­rik Kruger, author of “The Great Hero­in Coup: Drugs, Intel­li­gence and Inter­na­tion­al Fas­cism.” Through this exam­i­na­tion of the inter­sect­ed net­works that Kruger has termed (in “The Great Hero­in Coup”) “The Inter­na­tion­al Fascista,” we are able to observe the ele­ments of Oper­a­tion Con­dor, key indi­vid­u­als and insti­tu­tions com­pris­ing the for­mer World Anti-Com­mu­nist League, indi­vid­u­als and orga­ni­za­tions under­ly­ing “the Strat­e­gy of Ten­sion” in Italy, as well as the cast of char­ac­ters that man­aged the Iran-Con­tra machi­na­tions. Long the focal point of death threats and assas­si­na­tion attempts, Palme had earned the lethal ire of fas­cists in North and South Amer­i­ca, as well as Europe. The fail­ure to solve the killing, despite the pas­sage of almost 30 years and some very strong evi­den­tiary trib­u­taries, under­scores the grav­i­tas of the forces that destroyed Palme. Kruger’s arti­cle also serves as some­thing of an “in vit­ro” win­dow into many of the polit­i­cal net­works we have exam­ined over the years.

The off-year elec­tions approach, with the GOP pro­ject­ed to take con­trol of the Sen­ate, Sen­ate Major­i­ty Leader-to-be Mitch McConnel­l’s fam­i­ly is in the news for the wrong rea­sons. (Most of McConnel­l’s for­tune appar­ent­ly comes from his in-laws.) His father-in-law (James Chao) has pros­pered because of his found­ing and pro­pri­etor­ship of a ship­ping line, The Fore­most Group. That com­pa­ny has an opaque struc­ture, with many of its ships reg­is­tered in coun­tries that make com­pli­ance with mar­itime reg­u­la­tions eas­i­er to skirt. Now, one of Fore­most’s ships (the Ping May) has been bust­ed sail­ing from Colom­bia for Ams­ter­dam with 40 kilo­grams of cocaine aboard. How much of Fore­most’s largesse (and, by exten­sion, the McConnell clan’s wealth) is derived from shady enter­pris­es? Pre­vi­ous­ly, we have mused about GOP pro­mo­tion for the Burn­ing Man Arts Fes­ti­val and the pos­si­bil­i­ty that “Haight Ash­bury II”–as we dubbed it–might actu­al­ly be anoth­er “op” with ele­ments of the intel­li­gence com­mu­ni­ty and orga­nized crime col­lab­o­rat­ing to exper­i­ment on the unwit­ting adher­ents of the so-called counter-cul­ture. Now, we learn that none oth­er than Grover Norquist is plan­ning on attend­ing this year’s gath­er­ing.

Decades ago, we under­took to chron­i­cle the fright­en­ing mind con­trol pro­grams that U.S. and oth­er intel­li­gence ser­vices have imple­ment­ed. As read­ers peruse the items excerpt­ed below, they should remem­ber that mil­i­tary and intel­li­gence estab­lish­ments are almost always way ahead of the civil­ian sec­tor in cut­ting-edge sci­en­tif­ic research and devel­op­ment. New research has per­mit­ted sci­en­tists to suc­cess­ful­ly implant faulty mem­o­ries in test ani­mals. Portable brain scan­ning devices are being mar­ket­ed for casu­al con­sumer use. Suf­fice it to say, that we are enter­ing into a tech­no­log­i­cal age which will not only ren­der con­sti­tu­tion­al democ­ra­cy obso­lete, but will change and negate the very con­cepts under­ly­ing our phys­i­cal and cog­ni­tive exis­tence and civ­i­liza­tion.


Rudi Dekkers Enters a Sealed Plea: May Never Go to Trial

For years, we’ve cov­ered the hero­ic, lone­ly research done by Daniel Hop­sick­er on the 9/11-relat­ed flight schools in South­ern Flori­da. One of the prin­ci­pals in the intel­li­gence-com­mu­ni­ty-con­trolled drug traf­fick­ing milieu through which Mohamed Atta and asso­ciates infil­trat­ed the Unit­ed States was recent­ly arrest­ed in Hous­ton for drug smug­gling. Dekkers has entered a seal plea agree­ment, which will like­ly mute any pub­lic dis­clo­sure of the find­ings in the case.
