Continuing our analysis of the high-profile hacks and “Team Snowden,” we begin with analysis of some cryptic tweets that Snowden issued, shortly before the “Shadow Brokers” announced their pilfering of NSA cyberweapons. The possibility that the tweets were a signal to release the information is one to be considered.
Much of the program reviews key points of information from FTR #923 and other broadcasts: Russia appears to have been wrongly fingered for the DNC hack released by WikiLeaks; the Shadow Brokers’ supposed hack of the NSA’s servers does not appear to have been a hack at all but the work of an insider who downloaded the files onto a USB drive; the files offered up by the Shadow Brokers were from 2013, when Snowden undertook his operation.
Snowden has supported the cover story for the NSA non-hack–that it was, indeed, a hack (it probably wasn’t) and that Russia was behind it, which was probably not the case.
A chief suspect in the release of the NSA files is Jacob Applebaum, the WikiLeaker who appears to have facilitated Snowden’s journey from Hawaii to Hong Kong. The program reviews Applebaum’s hostility to Hillary Clinton, comparing it to the so-called “Shadow Brokers’ ” hostility to Clinton, echoing the views of Trump, Assange and Applebaum. The broadcast reviews the fact that the “Shadow Brokers” used an e‑mail account in Germany that has been recalcitrant to attempts at penetrating its users’ information.
The program reviews Applebaum’s presence in Germany, along with other key members of the WikiLeaks/Team Snowden cadre.
Program Highlights Include: review of the fact that Snowden (at the time he set out to subvert the NSA), Applebaum and other high-profile “privacy activists” have documented links to the CIA; a look at Donald Trump, Jr. who has been active in tweeting and re-tweeting “Alt.right” racist and anti-Semitic memes; Trump, Jr.‘s expressed willingness to run for office.
Supplementing analysis in the first four programs about the Trumpenkampfverbande, this program examines the media bias in his favor in the context of the Nazi tract “Serpent’s Walk,” about a Nazi takeover of the U.S. in the mid-twenty-first century. That takeover occurs after the SS goes underground (which happened), builds up their “economic muscle,” (which has happened with the Bormann network), buys into the opinion-forming media (which has happened) and sways the American people. “A century after the war they are ready to challenge the democrats and Jews for the hearts and minds of White Americans, who have begun to have their fill of government-enforced multi-culturalism and ‘equality.’ ” This appears to be happening with the Trump campaign. Noting the incessant grilling of Hillary Clinton over the e‑mail non-scandal (110 of 30,000 e‑mails contained classified material, a 0.36 percent margin of error) and the Clinton Foundation (a charity that helps the disadvantage and enjoys a higher official rating than the American Red Cross), Paul Krugman compared this–accurately–to the kid glove treatment afforded the dishonest and incompetent George W. Bush during the 2000 campaign. Reviewing Trump’s creditors, we note the primary role of Deutsche Bank in underwriting his real estate projects and the mysterious, opaque projects involving German industrial and aristocratic elements. After reviewing the absolute control that the Bormann capital network wields over corporate Germany, the program highlights the fundamental relationship between Deutsche Bank, Bormann and the remarkable and deadly network the Reichsleiter founded. Heavily invested in American corporations, the Bormann group and the Underground Reich are in an excellent position to manipulate media coverage of events, through direct corporate editorial policy and through the awarding of advertising contracts. We note, also, that the Bormann group controls corporate Germany: ” . . . What will not pass is the economic influences of the Bormann organization, whose commercial directives are obeyed almost without question by the highest echelons of West German finance and industry. ‘All orders come from the shareholders in South America,’ I have been told by a spokesman for Martin Bormann. . . .” The control of corporate Germany further enhances the ability of the Underground Reich to control media coverage. We are of the considered opinion that this dynamic is a major factor in the grotesquely slanted coverage of Trump’s campaign. While the “pundits” natter endlessly about Hillary Clinton’s health (never even considering that she may have been vectored), they are completely ignoring the fact that Trump is hundreds of millions of dollars in debt to Deutsche Bank, a predatory “too big to fail” institution that has flouted this country’s regulatory statutes and engaged in open law breaking. And, it’s a Bormann bank. The broadcast concludes with a transitional element that notes Trump’s political evolution from the anarcho/fascist libertarian milieu of Ron Paul, the same political forces that are the foundation of “Team Snowden” and WikiLeaks/Assange. ” . . . . Trump’s style and positions — endorsing and consorting with 9/11 truthers, promoting online racists, using fake statistics— draw on a now-obscure political strategy called “paleolibertarianism,” which was once quite popular among some Republicans, especially former presidential candidate Ron Paul. . . . But it was [Murray] Rothbard’s founding of the Ludwig von Mises Institute in 1982 that enabled the fledgling political movement to establish affinity with the neo-Confederate Lost Cause movement. . . . In the past few years, however, it’s been reborn as the alt-right, as a new generation of libertarians discovered their hidden heritage and began embracing racism and conspiracy theories. Many alt-right writers trace their roots to Rothbard. As one of them, Gregory Hood, put it, paleolibertarian theories about race and democracy “helped lead to the emergence [of the] Alternative Right.” Rothbard’s call for “sovereign nations based on race and ethnicity” is very similar to beliefs Trump’s alt-right supporters express today. . . .” Program Highlights Include: review of the ownership of the Quandt corporation, parent company of BMW and Audi automobiles by the heirs of Joseph Goebbels; BMW’s use of advertising contracts to influence editorial policy at “The Atlantic” magazine; review of George Soros’s role in financing Trump’s Chicago tower; review of the genesis of Soros’s business career “Aryanizing” Jewish property during the Holocaust.
In FTR #‘s 724, 725, 732, 745 and 755, we have detailed the fascist and far right-wing ideology, associations and politics of Julian Assange and WikiLeaks. Lionized by the so-called progressive sector, as well as mainstream media sources like “The New York Times” and “Der Spiegel,” Assange’s true colors and fascist politics and associations have emerged on a larger stage. As the Trump campaign evolves, a major alliance between Trump and the Assange organization has developed. Obviously serving as a dirty-tricks cadre for the GOP, Assange is working hard to destroy Hillary Clinton with leaked documents intended to torpedo her campaign. Assange–not even an American citizen–is manifesting what we termed “technocratic fascism,” arrogating to himself the right to determine the results of the American Presidential election. Quoting from a seminal article by David Golumbia: ” . . . Hackers (“civic,” “ethical,” “white” and “black” hat alike), hacktivists, WikiLeaks fans [and Julian Assange et al–D. E.], Anonymous “members,” even Edward Snowden himself walk hand-in-hand with Facebook and Google in telling us that coders don’t just have good things to contribute to the political world, but that the political world is theirs to do with what they want, and the rest of us should stay out of it: the political world is broken, they appear to think (rightly, at least in part), and the solution to that, they think (wrongly, at least for the most part), is for programmers to take political matters into their own hands. . . .” Assange is networking with Trump’s dirty tricks operator Roger Stone and resonating with the right-wing GOP/Trump playbook in his activities against Clinton. A major portion of the program highlights the substantive evidence that the DNC hack was NOT done by Russia, but by someone trying to make it look like Russia did it. Assange is now strongly hinting that the source was Seth Rich, a Democratic National Committee volunteer who was murdered. Assange is obliquely suggesting that Clinton was behind the murder. (Rich’s family disputes this canard and is urging the public to disregard Assange’s claims.) The WikiLeaks Clinton e‑mail dump: ” . . . . The emails include unencrypted, plain-text listings of donor emails addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, passport numbers, and credit card information. . . .” Might this have had something to do with the murder of Seth Rich? Program Highlights Include: WikiLeaks’ disclosure of the Social Security and credit card number of Democratic contributors; WikiLeaks anti-Semitic tweet, labeling its critics as Jews; Assange’s oblique endorsement of Trump; Assange’s embrace of a synthesis of Chicago school and Austrian school neo-liberal economic theory; Assange’s operational resonance with Koch brothers associate Peter Schweitzer; review of Assange’s pivotal associations with fascists and anti-Semites like Carl Lundstrom and Joran Jermas (aka “Israel Shamir”); review of David Duke’s links to the WikiLeaks milieu and to Ron Paul (Snowden and Assange’s Presidential candidate of choice); David Duke’s support of Trump; ideological and rhetorical resonance between Ron Paul, Glenn Greenwald and Donald Trump; a bullet-point analysis that connects the dots between elements of this complex analysis.
In the past, we have spoken of what we call technocratic fascism: “. . . . Hackers (“civic,” “ethical,” “white” and “black” hat alike), hacktivists, WikiLeaks fans [and Julian Assange et al–D. E.], Anonymous “members,” even Edward Snowden himself walk hand-in-hand with Facebook and Google in telling us that coders don’t just have good things to contribute to the political world, but that the political world is theirs to do with what they want, and the rest of us should stay out of it . . . .” A recent article on “the internet of things” crystallizes this dynamic: ” . . . what is presented as an upgrade is actually a stealthy euphemism for ‘surveillance’. . . The intelligence given to these devices really serves twin purposes: information collection and control . . . ‘smart’ produces a world where . . . corporations exert control over us through things we pay for the privilege of using.” All of the contents of this website as of 12/19/2014–Dave Emory’s 35+ years of research and broadcasting–as well as hours of videotaped lectures are available on a 32GB flash drive. From the Republican Party to European political and intellectual elites to “The New York Times,” everyone is “shocked, shocked” at the fascistic nature of the Trump candidacy. They shouldn’t be–his candidacy is the direct outgrowth of powerful forces that have been at work in this country for decades. After highlighting two op-ed pieces from the “Times,” accurately noting the virulent fascism at the root of the Trump phenomenon, the broadcast notes that neither Europe, where fascism is on the march once again, nor the American so-called “progressive sector,” which has embraced the “Eddie the Friendly Spook,” Glenn Greenwald and Julian Assange are in a position to complain. Snowden, Greenwald, Assange et al embody PRECISELY the same forces percolating at the surface of the Trump waters. Much of the broadcast consists of excerpts of an important new book: “The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America’s Secret Government” by David Talbot. In that worthy volume, Talbot chronicles the role of the Dulles brothers and Sullivan and Cromwell in the capitalization of Hitler’s Germany and the cover-up of the Nazi flight capital program, Dulles’s long collaboration with Nazi General Reinhard Gehlen, Gehlen’s pursuit (with Dulles) of the Cold War as a continuation of Hitler’s war against the U.S.S.R., the Dulles/Gehlen collaboration in the formation of the fascist networks known as “Stay Behind/Gladio.” The program concludes with review of the Crusade For Freedom, a Dulles project which culminated in the formation of a Nazi branch of the GOP. Program Highlights Include: the genesis of the Bormann network and its apparent collaboration with the Dulles networks; Prescott Bush, Sr.‘s role as the Senate’s liaison with Dulles’s CIA; the roles of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, William Casey and George H.W. Bush with the Crusade For Freedom; “The New York Times” and its own incorporation of Third Reich alumni as part of its collaboration with CIA.
One of the most incisive critics of the CIA was the late [U.S. Air Force] Colonel L. Fletcher Prouty. Chosen by Allen Dulles to set up “focal point” functions for CIA within other agencies of the U.S. government, Prouty was instrumental in the creation of what he called a “Secret Team”–the title of his 1969 book about “The Agency.” Dulles’ secret network infiltrated the military, the State Department, the FAA and even the White House. Looking at CIA officer Edward Snowden’s activities, Prouty would NOT have taken them at face value and would have seen them against the background of the sub-rosa activities with which he was familiar and had helped create, weighing the possibility that Snowden was operating against NSA on behalf of CIA. Much of the program details the sabotage of Francis Gary Powers’ U‑2 spy plane in 1960 on the eve of a summit conference between then U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower and Soviet Premier Nikita Khruschev. Dispatched against the specific orders of Dwight Eisenhower, the U‑2 appears to have been deliberately sabotaged. The incident led to the cancellation of the summit conference and the neutralization of detente between the Soviet Union and the United States. Prouty would have noted that Edward Snowden was working for the CIA when he undertook his leaking operation. Prouty would also have noted Snowden’s extreme right-wing views and would not have taken his activities at face value. Snowden’s journey to Hong Kong frustrated President Obama’s attempts at resolving U.S. and Chinese electronic spying and hacking. Snowden’s China sojourn also anticipated U.S. military and economic pressure on China. Snowden’s journey from China to Russia led to the cancellation of a summit conference between Obama and Putin and ended the Obama administration’s “reboot with Russia.” The Snowden “op” preceded the Maidan covert operation and attendant Ukrainian civil war, as well as Western economic pressure on Russia. As a trained intelligence officer, Prouty would have noted that the 1.7 million documents (2.7 million by some accounts) purloined by Snowden fundamentally compromised NSA, perhaps to prevent whistle-blowing on CIA use of Muslim Brotherhood-related Islamists as proxy warriors and heralds of corporatist economics in what Mr. Emory calls “The Earth Island Boogie.” The program concludes with discussion of the intelligence connections of the very privacy activists who are supposedly opposed to U.S. government electronic surveillance. Are Snowden and those so-called “privacy activists” actually “focal point” personnel in the networks set up for Allen Dulles by Prouty? Program Highlights Include: Tor network developer and “privacy activist” Jacob Applebaum’s links with U.S. intelligence asset Gene Sharp; Gene Sharp’s seminal role in the so-called “color revolutions,” some of which are featured in “The Earth Island Boogie;” the links of Applebaum and other “privacy activists” with the Broadcasting Board of Governors, a long-time CIA and State Department cut-out; review of Applebaum’s participation in “L’Affaire Snowden;” so-called “privacy activists’ ” advocacy of apps and networks developed by the BBG.
Drawing together material from previous programs and posts, this broadcast highlights Citizen Greenwald’s role as “a shiller for killers.” QUICK–who do you think said this?: “The parade of evils caused by illegal immigration is widely known, . . . illegal immigration wreaks havoc economically, socially, and culturally; makes a mockery of the rule of law; and is disgraceful just on basic fairness grounds alone. . . . unmanageably endless hordes of people pour over the border in numbers far too large to assimilate, and who consequently have no need, motivation or ability to assimilate. . . [they pose a threat to] middle-class suburban voters.” Donald Trump, right? Wrong–it was Glenn Greenwald.
Beginning with discussion of Greenwald’s role in suppressing journalistic coverage of, and basic freedom of speech about, Big Tobacco’s lethal marketing practices, we note his role in the Wachtell Lipton suit. That suit forced the cancellation of a “Frontline” broadcast and muzzled key whistleblowers from even discussing the documents revealing cigarette manufacturers’ sinister activity.
Once in private practice, Greenwald continued his work as a shiller for killers, running legal interference for the “leaderless resistance” strategy by protecting Nazi killers against civil suits and murder charges.
In addition to defending Nazi leader Matthew Hale against a suit brought by victims of one of his murderous foot soldiers, Greenwald defended him when he solicited the murder of Judge Joan Lefkow. Judge Lefkow’s husband and mother were shot to death in her home, after one of Hale’s followers posted the judge’s home address, a map to her home and pictures of her family online. Apparently Citizen Greenwald’s concern for internet privacy did not extent to the unfortunate Judge Lefkow.
Greenwald also defended the National Alliance and other anti-immigration groups against a suit that held them liable for beating and stabbing attacks on Mexican day laborers. The National Alliance publishes books specifically intended to motivate racial violence.
Program Highlights Include: the anti-immigrant views and rhetoric of Greenwald’s clients and associates; his role shilling for the Muslim Brotherhood; Greenwald’s violation of ethics when taping witnesses; Greenwald’s association with Nazi Andrew Auernheimer; Greenwald’s co-hosting of an event with neo-Confederate advocate Jacob Hornberger, as well as Ron Paul; Greenwald’s intellectual championing of virulently “anti-immigrant” former GOP congressman Tom Tancredo.
The ongoing occupation of an Oregon wildlife preserve in Oregon by paramilitary forces led by Ammon Bundy (son of Cliven Bundy) may seem far removed from the gilded realms in which the Koch Brothers move. They may also appear to be of an entirely different political stripe from the likes of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange. That is not the case. In fact, the “Bundyists” are realizing the agenda of the Wise Use movement and the Koch brothers, both advocates of ceding control of federal lands to local control, in order that corporate interests such as timber, mining and cattle ranching can use the territory for their own use and profit. By the same token, the likes of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange have arrogated to themselves the use, control and dissemination of sensitive information that was not theirs to own or distribute. David Golumbia noted the attitude of “coders” such as Snowden, Assange and “hacktivists ” . . . the political world is theirs to do with what they want, and the rest of us should stay out of it . . . members of democratic polities have no choice but to accept them having that role.” Turning to turmoil in Europe, the recent assaults on women by Middle Eastern immigrants in German, Finnish and other cities on the continent have fueled the rise of fascist groups, minting valuable political coinage from the assaults. Some observers compared a recent rampage in Leipzig with the 1938 Kristallnacht pogrom. The broadcast concludes with an overview of P‑2 Lodge grandmaster Licio Gelli, the recently deceased fascist who profoundly influenced events on three continents. Program Highlights Include: Fred C. Koch’s construction of an oil refinery for Hitler; Ex-CIA officer and author Robert Baer’s belief that Hitler escaped Germany at the end of the war; review of the participation of Fox News host Andrew Napolitano and Snowden Presidential candidate of choice Ron Paul at a libertarian students conference; review of the participation of Edward Snowden at that same conference; review of Carl Lundstrom’s financing of the anti-immigrant Sweden Democrat fascist party and his funding of the Pirate Bay website that hosted WikiLeaks.
