FTR #830 Machiavelli 2.0: The Paris Attacks and the Muslim Brotherhood

In the wake of the ter­ror­ist inci­dents in Paris, dis­cus­sion has point­ed­ly omit­ted the per­pe­tra­tors’ links to the Mus­lim Brotherhood–the Islam­ic fas­cist orga­ni­za­tion that spawned groups like Al Qae­da and ISIS. Por­trayed in the West as a “mod­er­ate’ orga­ni­za­tion, the Mus­lim Broth­er­hood was allied with the Axis in World War II and nur­tured as anti-com­mu­nist cadre by West­ern Intel­li­gence (CIA in par­tic­u­lar) dur­ing the Cold War. Suc­cess­ful­ly scape­goat­ed by Euro­pean fas­cist groups like the Nation­al Front, ele­ments of the Broth­er­hood net­work with those same fas­cists, mutu­al­ly ben­e­fit­ting from cul­tur­al and polit­i­cal alien­ation gen­er­at­ed among their respec­tive sup­port­ers. Much of the pro­gram reviews and details the cor­po­ratist and free mar­ket eco­nom­ic phi­los­o­phy of the Mus­lim Broth­er­hood, an ide­ol­o­gy that endears the Ikhwan to pow­er­ful polit­i­cal and eco­nom­ic inter­ests in the U.S. and else­where in the West. Broth­er­hood ele­ments con­tin­ue to be used as proxy war­riors by ele­ments of West­ern and Sau­di intel­li­gence in places like the Cau­ca­sus and Chi­na’s Xin­jiang Province.

Late last year, a series of drone flights over nuclear pow­er plants in France raised alarm at the time. Although 3 peo­ple were detained and then released (appar­ent­ly not engaged in sin­is­ter activ­i­ty), ques­tions remain about the large num­ber of flights. In the wake of the attacks on Char­lie Heb­do and a kosher del­i­catessen in Paris, one won­ders if some of the flights may have been prepara­to­ry to an attack of some kind? IF, in fact, such an attack were to take place, things will become SERIOUSLY inter­est­ing. With anoth­er anniver­sary of the 9/11 attacks hav­ing passed, it is inter­est­ing to con­tem­plate the ongo­ing dam­age from the unlearned lessons con­cern­ing those attacks. Before dis­cussing ongo­ing sup­port for Cau­casian and Chechen jihadist ele­ments by ele­ments of U.S., West­ern and Sau­di intel­li­gence, the pro­gram high­lights the bogus intel­li­gence about a sup­posed “Russ­ian inva­sion” of Ukraine that does not appear to have occurred at all. Much of the sup­posed intel­li­gence on this “inva­sion” comes from satel­lite pho­tos, show­ing what are sup­posed to be Russ­ian armored and artillery ele­ments in Ukraine. These pho­tos are NOT from U.S. recon­nais­sance satel­lites, but come from a pri­vate company–DigitalGlobe. Found­ed by vet­er­ans of Ronald Rea­gan’s “Star Wars” pro­gram (The Strate­gic Defense Ini­tia­tive), the com­pa­ny’s exec­u­tives have CV’s involv­ing work for Bain (Mitt Rom­ney’s firm) and IHS, the Thyssen/Bornemisza group firm that is the epi­cen­ter of the Peak Oil doc­trine. Access­ing archival infor­ma­tion about sup­port for Chechen Islamists by ele­ments of U.S., West­ern and Sau­di intel­li­gence, the pro­gram notes the involve­ment of Ukrain­ian fas­cists from the UNA/UNSO orga­ni­za­tion in Chech­nya and the Cau­ca­sus. The report­ed com­bat exper­tise of ISIS is said by some ana­lysts to have evolved from the par­tic­i­pa­tion in that group of Chechen vet­er­ans, mak­ing our slip­pery slope involve­ment against the group blowback–to an extent–from the West­’s proxy war­riors in the Cau­ca­sus. As was the case in Afghanistan–where the U.S. fought a bloody, inde­ci­sive war against jihadists craft­ed to fight against the U.S.S.R. and sub­se­quent­ly Russia–we once again find Amer­i­can mil­i­tary forces engaged against jihadists being used as proxy war­riors by ele­ments of the transna­tion­al cor­po­rate elite and allied nation­al secu­ri­ty ele­ments. The pro­gram con­cludes with a clos­er look at the his­tor­i­cal back­ground to some recent pro­pa­gan­da in the New York Times’ op-ed page, ascrib­ing Russ­ian respon­si­bil­i­ty to the 1999 assas­si­na­tions of Armen­ian polit­i­cal lead­ers by the Dash­nags, an Armen­ian nation­al­ist group with long­stand­ing his­tor­i­cal links to Ukrain­ian fas­cists and oth­er ele­ments of inter­na­tion­al fas­cism and the Under­ground Reich.


This ISIS (ISIL) Video Isn’t Generating the Gravitas of the Foley Execution

A video of ISIS (ISIL) fol­low­ers swear­ing alle­giance to the orga­ni­za­tion fea­tures a strik­ing episode at about 1:05. The acolytes engage in some very “un-Islam­ic” ges­tur­ing (at right.) It graph­i­cal­ly illus­trates a dynam­ic we have spo­ken of so often. Cen­tral to an under­stand­ing of polit­i­cal con­flicts through­out the 20th and 21st cen­tu­ry is the con­cept of the Earth Island (also called “the World Island.”) This area is pop­u­lat­ed large­ly by Mus­lims, and polit­i­cal affil­i­a­tion with, and/or con­trol of, those pop­u­la­tion groups has long been seen as fun­da­men­tal to dom­i­na­tion of the Earth Island–that, in turn, is the geopo­lit­i­cal key to con­trol­ling the world. Impe­r­i­al Ger­many made good use of Islamists as proxy war­riors dur­ing the First World War, and the Third Reich devel­oped and used that strat­e­gy exten­sive­ly, in both its above-ground and under­ground phas­es. West­ern intelligence–the CIA and deriv­a­tive orga­ni­za­tions such as the Safari Club–have made exten­sive use of this strat­a­gem dur­ing the Cold War and after.

We recall the tsuna­mi of praise, Hosan­nas and Hal­lelu­jahs gush­ing forth from the world’s media and polit­i­cal pun­dit­ry, hail­ing the “Arab Spring” as the dawn­ing of a new enlight­en­ment in that part of the world, they missed the boat–-fundamentally. We, on the oth­er hand, were warn­ing that this phe­nom­e­non was an Under­ground Reich oper­a­tion. Events in Egypt and Turkey have borne out our hypoth­e­sis in grim­ly con­vinc­ing­ly fash­ion.


Better Late than Never: Appellate Court Clears the Way for 9/11 Families to Sue Saudi Arabia

An appel­late court has cleared the way for fam­i­lies of 9/11 vic­tims to sue Sau­di Ara­bia, focus­ing on, among oth­er things, char­i­ties used to fund al-Qae­da. IF this inves­ti­ga­tion were to pro­ceed as far as it might, Grover Norquist, Karl Rove and oth­ers in the GOP/Bush milieu would come under scruti­ny, as would Fran­cois Genoud, Youssef Nada and the Under­ground Reich. In addi­tion, there is renewed focus on the redact­ed 28 pages of the Join Intel­li­gence Com­mit­tee Inquiry, which impli­cate Sau­di Ara­bia.

Pre­vi­ous­ly, we warned of the threat of jihadists set­ting for­est fires as a means of wag­ing eco­nom­ic war­fare against the Unit­ed States. In a recent pan­el dis­cus­sion, author and edi­tor William B. Scott high­light­ed just such a pos­si­bil­i­ty. That warn­ing is par­tic­u­lar­ly res­o­nant with a dev­as­tat­ing wild­fire rag­ing in Yosemite, doing seri­ous dam­age to the econ­o­my of the San Fran­cis­co Bay Area.

In past arti­cles, we have not­ed the close rela­tion­ship between the Al Jazeera net­work and the Mus­lim Broth­er­hood. Although the Broth­er­hood con­trolled net­work is adding grav­i­tas around the world, one place it is not doing so is Egypt. Many of its staff resigned in protest over the net­work’s tan­gi­ble pro-Broth­er­hood bias.

A Russ­ian offi­cial has alleged that recent wild­fires that struck Europe may well have been set by Al Qae­da or oth­er jihadists ele­ments. Pre­vi­ous­ly, we dis­cussed wild­fires that struck the Vic­to­ria sec­tion of Aus­tralia, the focal point of reli­gious strife between Mus­lims and some of their Chris­t­ian prelate neigh­bors. Jihadists cel­e­brat­ed the fires. Set­ting for­est fires was attempt­ed by the Axis against the U.S. in World War II.
