FTR #888 Compendium on Citizen Greenwald: A Shiller for Killers

Draw­ing togeth­er mate­r­i­al from pre­vi­ous pro­grams and posts, this broad­cast high­lights Cit­i­zen Green­wald’s role as “a shiller for killers.” QUICK–who do you think said this?: “The parade of evils caused by ille­gal immi­gra­tion is wide­ly known, . . . ille­gal immi­gra­tion wreaks hav­oc eco­nom­i­cal­ly, social­ly, and cul­tur­al­ly; makes a mock­ery of the rule of law; and is dis­grace­ful just on basic fair­ness grounds alone. . . . unman­age­ably end­less hordes of peo­ple pour over the bor­der in num­bers far too large to assim­i­late, and who con­se­quent­ly have no need, moti­va­tion or abil­i­ty to assim­i­late. . . [they pose a threat to] mid­dle-class sub­ur­ban vot­ers.” Don­ald Trump, right? Wrong–it was Glenn Green­wald.

Begin­ning with dis­cus­sion of Green­wald’s role in sup­press­ing jour­nal­is­tic cov­er­age of, and basic free­dom of speech about, Big Tobac­co’s lethal mar­ket­ing prac­tices, we note his role in the Wachtell Lip­ton suit. That suit forced the can­cel­la­tion of a “Front­line” broad­cast and muz­zled key whistle­blow­ers from even dis­cussing the doc­u­ments reveal­ing cig­a­rette man­u­fac­tur­ers’ sin­is­ter activ­i­ty.

Once in pri­vate prac­tice, Green­wald con­tin­ued his work as a shiller for killers, run­ning legal inter­fer­ence for the “lead­er­less resis­tance” strat­e­gy by pro­tect­ing Nazi killers against civ­il suits and mur­der charges.

In addi­tion to defend­ing Nazi leader Matthew Hale against a suit brought by vic­tims of one of his mur­der­ous foot sol­diers, Green­wald defend­ed him when he solicit­ed the mur­der of Judge Joan Lefkow. Judge Lefkow’s hus­band and moth­er were shot to death in her home, after one of Hale’s fol­low­ers post­ed the judge’s home address, a map to her home and pic­tures of her fam­i­ly online. Appar­ent­ly Cit­i­zen Green­wald’s con­cern for inter­net pri­va­cy did not extent to the unfor­tu­nate Judge Lefkow.

Green­wald also defend­ed the Nation­al Alliance and oth­er anti-immi­gra­tion groups against a suit that held them liable for beat­ing and stab­bing attacks on Mex­i­can day labor­ers. The Nation­al Alliance pub­lish­es books specif­i­cal­ly intend­ed to moti­vate racial vio­lence.

FTR #856 Libertarianism, White Supremacy and Leaderless Resistance

This pro­gram revis­its infor­ma­tion con­cern­ing the rela­tion­ship between out­right fas­cists and racists grouped under the lib­er­tar­i­an polit­i­cal ban­ner and the “lead­er­less resis­tance” strat­e­gy. This libertarian/fascist nexus embod­ies the polit­i­cal forces with which Edward Snow­den is allied. With Dylann Roof’s appar­ent exe­cu­tion of the Charleston church mas­sacre and oth­er, less-pub­li­cized inci­dents, we have expe­ri­enced the rav­ages of killers oper­at­ing as “lone wolves”, inspired by, and act­ing in con­cert with, ide­o­log­i­cal vec­tors dis­sem­i­nat­ed through the inter­net and oth­er media. Snow­den polit­i­cal idol Ron Paul and leak­ing jour­nal­ist of choice Glenn Green­wald are key play­ers in the libertarian/fascist milieu, with Ron Paul and his racist newslet­ters hav­ing cod­i­fied much of the vio­lence we have seen since, and which inspired Dylann Roof and oth­ers. Glenn Green­wald ran legal inter­fer­ence for the lead­er­less resis­tance strat­e­gy, obtain­ing rul­ings that free Nazi and white suprema­cist advo­cates from pos­si­ble civ­il lia­bil­i­ty for inspir­ing acts like the Charleston mas­sacre. Among the libertarian/fascist activists on the scene is Jef­frey Tuck­er, who helped write Ron Paul’s newslet­ters and is list­ed as a found­ing mem­ber of the League of the South. Andreas Strassmeier, “John Doe #2” and the Underground Reich: Observations on the 20th Anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing

As is the case with so much of recent Amer­i­can his­to­ry, the offi­cial ver­sion of the Okla­homa City bomb­ing obscures the fact that there was much more to this event than we have been told. Of par­tic­u­lar inter­est is the tes­ti­mo­ny of ATF under­cov­er infor­mant Car­ol Howe that Andreas Strass­meier, the son of Ger­man Chan­cel­lor Hel­mut Kohl’s chief of staff Gun­ther Strass­meier, was the mas­ter­mind of the bomb­ing and that Tim­o­thy McVeigh was his pro­tege. Howe passed a poly­graph test on her tes­ti­mo­ny. Strass­meier bears a strong resem­blance to the com­pos­ite sketch­es of John Doe #2, seen by eye­wit­ness­es in the com­pa­ny of McVeigh pri­or to the bomb­ing. The “Snow­denistas,” the GOP and the vio­lent, para­mil­i­tary, seces­sion­ist right con­sti­tute a polit­i­cal con­tin­u­um, the lib­er­al views of most of Snow­den’s sup­port­ers, notwith­stand­ing. Snow­den’s leak­ing jour­nal­ist of choice–Citizen Greenwald–continues his pat­tern of frat­er­niz­ing and pro­fes­sion­al­ly defend­ing Nazis and White Suprema­cists. Ebay, owned by Snow­den’s finan­cial angel–Pierre Omidyar–is a sup­port­er of ALEC, one of the most impor­tant of the far-right polit­i­cal engines. Under­scor­ing the extrem­ist nature of the con­tem­po­rary Repub­li­can Par­ty, we note that Texas politi­cians, includ­ing Gov­er­nor-elect Greg Abbott have been explic­it­ly sup­port­ive of para­mil­i­tary vig­i­lantes oper­at­ing along the Mex­i­can bor­der, some of which were stock­pil­ing ammo­ni­um nitrate. Dou­glas MacK­in­non (a for­mer Rea­gan and George H.W. Bush speech­writer) is advo­cat­ing the seces­sion of a num­ber of states to form a new coun­try called “Rea­gan.” Hav­ing grand­stand­ed as an “anti-ter­ror” bul­wark, for­mer Bush (II) Attor­ney Gen­er­al John Ashcroft is prac­tic­ing law. One of his clients is weapons deal­er Vik­tor Bout, who sup­plied weapons to Al Qae­da.

FTR #805 Miscellaneous Articles and Updates

As our title indi­cates, this pro­gram brings a num­ber of paths of inquiry up to date, as well as high­light­ing some new points of inter­est. Begin­ning with the onslaught of ISIS–The Islam­ic State of Syr­ia and Iraq–the broad­cast sets forth infor­ma­tion gen­er­al­ly ignored in media cov­er­age of the event. Chief of Sau­di intel­li­gence Prince Bandar–nicknamed “Ban­dar Bush” for his close rela­tion­ship to the Bush family–may well have been the dri­ving force behind the Iraqi and Syr­i­an Sun­ni jihadists com­pris­ing ISIS. Per­haps that occa­sioned Ban­dar’s recent replace­ment as head of Sau­di intel­li­gence. Much of the pro­gram focus­es on the for­ma­tion of lethal right-wing mil­i­tary for­ma­tions in both the Unit­ed States and Ger­many. The recent stand­off between Cliv­en Bundy’s para­mil­i­tary sup­port­ers and fed­er­al agents por­tends a more expand­ed and dead­ly mili­tia and neo-seces­sion­ist land­scape. The Bundyites did not oper­ate in a vac­u­um, with ide­o­log­i­cal and jour­nal­is­tic sup­port from the GOP and its amen cho­rus in the media. A clan­des­tine army in ear­ly 1950’s Ger­many com­posed of Wehrma­cht and Waf­fen SS vet­er­ans enjoyed the sup­port of the Ade­nau­r­er gov­ern­ment and the Gehlen-dom­i­nat­ed BND. It was net­worked with the SS–still clear­ly active in the 1950’s.
