The first trio of talks for Octo­ber high­light the ter­ri­fy­ing, anni­hi­lat­ing devel­op­ment of AI’s, includ­ing a near World-War III inci­dent caused by mil­i­tary human-super­vised AI, the Pen­tagon’s “Damn the Guardrails, Full Speed Ahead” atti­tude, Pen­ta­gon and Ope­nAI eva­sive­ness about guardrails, as well as Pen­ta­gon “AI guy” Gavin Kliger’s DOGE back­ground and white-suprema­cist influ­ences. As peo­ple with an oblig­a­tion to our descen­dants, we have the respon­si­bil­i­ty to pre­serve a record of the events lead­ing to the col­lapse of our social and polit­i­cal milieu.
